I didn’t know places like this still existed! Located in a small strip mall off 28 in Manassas, this Army surplus/cop shop/gun store/old stuff has a little of everything. Most of the store is crowded with seemingly random merchandise, which in some cases appears to have been undisturbed for decades. The gun case however is decent sized and clearly the store’s main source of revenue. The prices are reasonable, but the selection is hit or miss. The owner however will order anything you want, so if you are patient, a good deal may await you here. Of note, Dominion Arms is a Glock Blue Label dealer.

This place is horrible. Customer service sucks. Walked in and the older man at the counter doesn’t even ask me if I need any help. Another thing, this store barely has any guns. It’s all mostly antiques. The selection is very small. It sucks that this is the only store near me. Everything looks very out dated. It’s good if you are looking for revolvers I guess and old WWII rifles. Instead stop by the VA arms in Manassas. Way better.

I came to this shop and couldn’t stay longer than 30 seconds. The owner smokes inside and it drove me crazy the immediate second I smelled it. I have fairly sensitive lungs and it pains me to not be able to go here because I’m a huge fan of guns and wish I could see their inventory and leave a review about that. In my opinion I don’t think you should be smoking but that’s just me

I have been going to these guys for years and they are my preferred FFL. They are not hard pithc guys, they are not intrusive, and they are very accomodating. All you have to do is walk up and say«Hi, can you help me?» They are gun enthusiasts, they know the craft, and they will not jerk you around. What people see as not attentive is they are laid back, they figure«if he/she wants us to help they will let us know, it’s not that big a store and we know you are there.» Any one of them knows more than me about weaponry and combined they have more skill and knowledge in that arena than most people I know(including the SWAT and Bomb Techs). So I would not be put off by the dust and smoke — just say hello and ask for some help.

I walked into the store and wasn’t greeted by anyone. All the store clerks were just sitting around talking. I was ready and willing to spend big $$$$$. I took my business down the road to somewhere that cares about their customers. If you want to be ignored this is the prefect shop for you.

I have been going to these guys for years. This is not a corporate store by any stretch. Its a view back in time to the days of family owned establishments. One reviewer stated they had nothing but«Saturday Night Specials». This is a completely false statement. They have everything. For every type of buyer. There is a huge selection of hard to find/unusual military surplus. There are also common surplus items on hand. They carry the basics plus some for bowhunters, blackpowder hunters, and ammunition reloaders. The reviewer also stated that one should venture out to the other gunshops around here. I will be honest, I have been to them all. Unless you are LEO or planning on dropping a couple grand, the other two gunshops on the same highway have virtually no use for you. Often times, ignoring you blatantly or following you accusingly. These guys are nowhere like that. Another thing those other shops do is send their guys to walmart and dicks to buy up all their ammo. They then take this ammo and put it on their shelf for triple what they paid. These guys have distributors that they have been using for years and buy their ammo in bulk through them. Which also keeps their ammo costs down for the consumer. The author was right about one thing, they do allow tobacco use in the store. However, they do have air purifiers and a fan installed for better ventilation. If you are hyper sensitive to tobacco, you might not want to go in there. Then again, if you are that sensitive, a day in an enclosed range would probably leave you bed ridden for days. If you are looking to sell a firearm, they also give the best prices in town for offloading your stuff. A whimsical blast from an era gone by. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to get away from gun yuppies and elitists.

I stopped by here the other day and it will probably be my last time. The selection was slim and over priced. The case was comprised mainly of Jennings, Taurus and HR revolvers, basically Saturday Night Specials. They do have a lot of rifles on the wall but I didn’t really get a look at them. the accessories are cobbled together on shelves and the selection is more like the random junk boxes you see at gun shows. The worst part? The smoking. Be prepared to leave with half a lung. In closing, avoid Dominion Arms and spend your money at the VA Arms or Guns and Ammo.

Precious Has A Gun! I had been thinking about getting a gun for Precious for a while. We had passed by this place a thousand times literally, and sometimes we said, «Hey, we should go in there some day.» Today was some day. We didn’t think we’d really fit in with the type of crowd that hangs around a gun shop in Manassas, Virginia. We didn’t know what to expect. Far right wing tea party members. Anti-immigrant fanatics. But the dude there was very good. The only thing we knew about guns was what we’d seen in the movies. We told him that we wanted a gun for home protection, and he showed us about ten different types of guns and explained in detail their unique features. He let us handle them. The guy was excellent. We couldn’t have asked for a better sales person. Normally what we do with a purchase over $ 100 is take our time, research on the internet, talk to people, visit a couple of different places before we make a purchase, but the education that guy gave us earned the sale even if we could have gotten a gun on the cheap somewhere else. It’s a very small place. They don’t have a huge selection. They also carry rifles, pepper spray and other self-defense items, hunting gear like boots and some type of blanket that makes you look like a lump of grass.

Picked up a slightly used S&W 686 from here yesterday and it couldn’t have been a better experience. Incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and make you feel very comfortable buying a gun. The store carries new and used guns of a worldwide variety. The stock constantly seems to change, so don’t go off any reviews about what they do or do not carry. I suggest if you’re «shopping» around, stop by this great gun shop for a great deal. A great location, easy buying, and relaxed atmosphere. Prices were well below average, which will have me going back even more. Veteran owned and operated.
