Charlie Bob’s Market & Deli

This place has great chicken. I only eat the chicken breast as the wing just doesn’t have much meat and I don’t like dark meat. Oh yes, the place essentially stops selling the chicken at 6:00 pm. So I suddenly realize that it is getting close to 6:00 pm and I race over to the store and get there about 5:52. I tell the guy behind the food counter I want two chicken breasts, four legs, corn, beans and mashed potatoes with gravy. I then go to the soda area and am looking at the bottles of water when the guy yells to me that he has no breasts and what other chicken pieces do I want. I tell him that I understood they were open until 6:00 pm and I want the chicken breasts. Finally he says that he can’t cook any fresh chicken because he had already turned off the fryer. So I thank him and start to leave. He AGAIN says what other chicken pieces do I want and I tell him I came mainly for the breasts and I don’t want any other chicken pieces, only the breasts. He again tells me his fryer is off. So I say I understand that and I go to leave again. They he is yelling reminding me of the sides I ordered. I said if you don’t have the chicken breasts then I don’t want anything. I then drove to Popeye’s where they DID have chicken breasts and I indulged myself by getting a large mashed potatoes with cajun gravy and also got a large container of extra cajun gravy. Wonderful stuff!!! Having plenty of gravy, especially hot gravy, makes a world of difference.
So much for Charlie-Bob’s being open until 6 pm.

Champs chicken is really really good better then Popeyes and priced really good I’ve had the chicken poppers and legs I really recommend this

Great food and super nice staff. Stop in a few times a month and always satisfied with the service and quality of food. Decent Portion sizes as well.

Thought we could come in and have breakfast however, no one could find a menu so we ordered lunch. This is basically a gas station/​convenience store with a hot food station. We bought a chicken tender meal and a BLT, something we could have cooked at home and saved $ 14 dollars. Two police officers walked in and were able to get a breaksfast menu.

excellent breakfast sandwhich! had huge chicken breast for lunch, delish… some of the sides were just okay but overall great food, prices, and customer service!

I have lived in Woodbridge for just over 20 years but I am not from here. The people who were born and raised around here call it «Old Woodbridge» and they are very proud of it. When I pulled into Charlie Bob’s parking lot it was full of people who are 4^th and 5^th generation families from Woodbridge. I thought Oh this is «Old Woodbridge» and this is one of their best kept secrets!
You can call ahead for your chicken which is probably a good idea tho the little market is fun to poke around in. Lot’s of Amish Jams and Jellies etc.
The chicken itself is called Champs chicken and is prepared with pride in a friendly way. I left
there with a box of amazingly good fried chicken but also i felt like i’d had a visit with a time that’s gone by and I’m going to go back again and again.

Man this place is amazing. It is in the middle of nowhere but it is totally worth the drive. They have the best food. There is always nice people working there. Grade A food with grade A people. You cant beat that.

It is a gas station but no one gets gas there yet there is a full parking lot why awesome food. But I did not know this drove by many times then I saw cop cars out front and being nosey went inside. I saw a line of police standing in line getting served by the sweetest lady fried chicken and sides. I knew then I found a secret gem. I Would give 5 stars but it is a gas station.
