Our Company has catered from Happy Eatery a couple of times. I must say I am very disappointed with their ingredients, portion size and most of all flavoring. We have catered from them for Empanadas. It is a savory puff pastry with a stew filling. When we received them the filling was little to non existence. It was just airy pastry dough. The dough itself was greasy and over buttery. We had a few more items from them but the one that was the last straw was their Cajun Selection. The rice in their«jambalaya» flavorless with very little chicken and sausage. The rice had no seasoning what so ever. The chicken was also bland and flavorless. The sausage no flavor but overly spicy. I honestly do not understand how you have a spicy flavorless sausage. The sausage quality itself was also disappointing. Each time they have catered for our company after only a few bites, I had to throw the entire dish away and then go out to buy my own meal down the road. Please just turn away and find another place to eat or to cater from.

We ordered a smash cake and a 10″ cake. Both cakes were too dry, buttercream icing was good. The smash cake was cute but my daughter could not grab into it. Seemed like the cakes were over cooked :(

I have been here multiple times and their cake and cupcakes have always been a huge hit. We especially love the Bavarian Cream cake with fruit, so delicious. Whenever a celebration is coming up I get requests for«that delicious cake with the fruit»

Degradation over time. I live in the area and have bought numerous cakes from this lady over the years for bdays. At first I was a fan, but over time my feelings have soured. A couple times the lady gave us incomplete cake requests, one time they could barley design the cake at all. Couple the complaints with an expensive price for almost everything in the store and you get why I put 3 stars. Haven’t bought a cake from here in a while and might keep it that way. Forgot to add, the taste of the cakes have degraded too, the last time we bought a cake I thought it was bland and dry, FYI.

Excellent cupcakes and pastries. If they have the Hostess style chocolate cream filled cupcakes give them a try. They taste like your memory of Hostess when you were three. The tarts and cakes are good, but the Napoleans are worth the trip alone. Helpful staff, and the coffee is pretty solid as well.

I have a feeling this place tries to get over on people. Over $ 1000 for a wedding cake. For only one top tier and the rest cupcakes. Not only that they wanted to charge $ 100 for the cake stand and $ 100 for delivery when they are less than 10 miles from the venue. I found a place where the cake actually tastes good and delivery is only $ 70 coming from Maryland. Beware of their overpriced cakes!

Ordered a gluten free 8″ round cake for my daughter’s birthday. I had heard many good things about this bakery. Chocolate cake, chocolate mousse filling, buttercream. Nothing fancy. We added horse decorations which consisted of two plastic horses and two fences stuck on top of the cake with a little green piping for grass. Again, nothing fancy. The cake cost me $ 75! The cake itself was $ 45. Okay, gluten free. But the cheap«decorations» were $ 25! The rest was tax. Are you kidding? The buttercream was overly sweet(and I love buttercream), and the cake was just okay. I was very disappointed in the cake overall and the ridiculous cost. Do yourself a favor, find somewhere else for your cakes. I will not be a repeat customer.

Had to order a gluten-free cake. They made my daughter’s and a friend’s graduation cake with a specialized design and we got to have a taste test of different flavors and icings. A full sheet cake was very decently priced and no one could tell it was gluten-free! Also ordered my son’s birthday cake from them just as a walk-in. It was fantastic! Always a great experience! Now I use them before ordering from anywhere else!

Although a little hard to find with the Google directions, keep driving… it’s at the other end of the shopping center. It’s a very cute little bakery. The cakes displayed are very pretty. We came for their breakfast sandwiches and weren’t disappointed. The egg was cooked perfectly. I would come back again when I’m in town.

I really like this place. Their black bubble tea is tasty and definitely get the roast pork buns if they have them out! I’ve also tried their macarons, cupcakes and pastries and have always been pleased, if not blown away. It’s a cute little bakery.

Finally visited their location in Manassas VA last week. Many moons ago, they were located in Centreville VA near my house and we frequented them quite often for birthday cakes, etc. Since they moved further away from me, I hadn’t been over there in quite some time. The husband and I were in the area and wanted to get a bite to eat. I noticed they now had sandwiches and lunch stuff, so I suggested we check them out. It’s a cute, clean little place in a strip mall near Red Robin on Liberia. They have a nice display of the cakes and pastries they are known for — lots of items using fondant to create special occasion cakes. They had several different cakes in the shapes of things such as «purses» and other unusual items. I liked their pastry and cupcake display case the best though — everything looked very appetizing and inviting. First things first, however… we were there for lunch. I had a grilled ham and brie sandwich while the hubs chose the Monte Cristo sandwich, which is not easy to find. He was thrilled that it was on the menu. The wait was a little longer than expected, but boy were those sandwiches delicious! Wow, we were very impressed with the quality and taste! We did save room for dessert. Believe me, it was a difficult decision to choose which delectable delight we wanted to try because everything looked so good. I ended up with a slice of the mocha cake and he had a hazelnut Napoleon. Both were good, but I think would have been better at room temperature, since both the cream and cake were a little stiff from being chilled. I also took home a few of their lovely cupcakes for the family, but I’ll be honest and tell you I did try a bite or two of each one! Keeping them out for a few hours greatly improved the texture — the raspberry amaretto was my favorite. Yummmm. We will have to make a point of coming back, now that we have been reintroduced!

I ordered a red velvet custom birthday cake. A patron bottle cake. I was expecting a much smaller size cake, but was completely blown away when I saw how they out did themselves… I was in awe! This cake is amazing!

Cakes are dry. Not moist at all like you should be expecting. Very mealy texture and stale tasting. Not worth the price. Better off going to Cupcaked in Clifton for much better quality ingredients and value.

We ordered an 8″ gluten-free chocolate cake with whipped cream and fresh strawberry filling and cream cheese icing. The cake was moist and lightly sweetened which was a great contrast to the sugary icing. The fresh strawberries in the middle were a decadent touch. The decorator was careful to create the exact custom design I requested and it looked gorgeous! At least ten people who regularly consume gluten had a slice of cake and raved about it. The bakery has tinkered with the flour ratios to create a very memorable cake sans gluten! If you are lucky, a gf cupcake will be available if you drop in… Stop in for the pesto chicken salad while you decide what sweet treats to order!

Really bad cake. We ordered strawberry shortcake, more like strawberry sawdust. It was absolutely horrible. The cake was so dry and the cookies were stale. Costco has better cake. This was so disappointing. I would not go back.

This place was OK. After grabbing some lunch my sweet tooth was kicking in full force so I searched for the closest sweet spot when I found this place. I just want to say that the ladies at the counter were so wonderful and friendly. The cupcakes though were not the greatest. I got a chocolate cupcake & the frosting lacked the sweetness I craved & the cupcake itself was very dry for my liking. My boyfriend got a strawberry cake pop & he loved it though! So I guess it just depends on your sweetness level! Overall I would probably give this place another try!

I was drawn in by the sign. That, and the fact they have Boba. Being from California, I’ve come to like boba. Everything was SO delicious. When you go in, be prepared to fight the urge to buy everything, so word to the wise, don’t go on an empty stomach. My favorite was their Strawberry Coffee Cake and Café Au Lait boba. They also have a delicious Red Velvet cupcake. I hate to use the word«moist», but it definitely was. Delectable to the last crumb. Their lunch menu is pretty impressive as well, so don’t think they sell just baked goods, they have an extensive menu of sandwiches you can order. They are extremely friendly as well. I’m a fan.

This is a cute little shop and they display all of their products. I have ordered the cupcakes there multiple times. I was just not impressed. The frosting was okay on the vanilla cupcake, would have preferred it be another color other than green. The cake was heavy, but not very moist. I also received a quote for a wedding cake and the price was very expensive compared to other vendors with better quality. The cost was almost 200 more.

Our small wedding cake was perfect! We had a very small ceremony and our cake design was very elegant and simple just as requested. Everyone LOVED it! It was SOOOOOOFRESH!!! We had a carrot cake layer and a layer of sponge cake with strawberry cream filling. Both were divine! There were real strawberries in the cream filling!!! We also loved the personalized cake boxes provided to give guests left over cake slices… it was a very nice touch! Highly recommend this bakery!!! We were not disappointed with anything.
