great place! my husband decided to get our bikes from here instead of target/​walmart and there is just no comparison really. we just wanted some fun family bikes to ride around the neighborhood. when he came home with our new bikes he was giddy with glee and excitement. he couldnt stop raving about the people at this bike shop who helped him. he said he felt like everyone who worked there treated him like a long time friend. Excellent customer service! even the other customers who came in were friendly and kind. they made sure the bikes we picked were 100% perfect before leaving. I HIGHLY recommend Bull Run Bicycles!

This is what every shop in America should be like. They are wonderful they totally looked out for mu budget and needs and rebuilt my old old road bike. One conversation with the owner and you know you are not talking to a sales person you intact you have a passionate person who knows his craft.

Daniel is awesome. He made my 19 yr old trek bike look and work like the day I bought it.
He provides expert work at reasonable prices and cares about his customers. I highly recommend his bike shop.

Bull Run Bikes is a local bike shop which is primarily run by the one person who is the owner. Occasionally he has some part time or «friend» based help but for the most part it is a one man show. This is good and bad.
It is good that he is a perfectionist and a gifted mechanic, it is good that he can keep consistent quality and is dependable.
The bad, well there is only one Danny and things get backed up or may take a bit longer than the larger chain stores.
I have purchased bikes, bought supplies, and had my bikes tuned up at BRB. All have been great experiences.
I have participated in the Tuesday night rides and enjoyed them, a great way to safely ride with others and meet new folks of all ages and sizes.
If you are looking for a good local shop, BRB is the one.

Danny, the Owner is first class! He helped me out ordering specialty bars for my bike and has always been there for me whenever I’ve had «stupid questions.»
Prices are great, service is the best!

Coming back from OBX with an SUV loaded with a rack of 4 bikes, the pin slipped out & the rack failed going 70 mph on I-​95.
I took several of the bikes here and Daniel worked miracles on the repairs.
Daniel did a great job and quality work for not a lot of money.
I highly recommend you check other bike shops… and Bull Run will be the last place you check.
You won’t be disappointed, Daniel is a true bike mechanic and knows bikes and his craft.

Good customer service. They really know bikes. I’ve visited a few times for tunes-​ups and other services and they have always done a good job. They carry a pretty decent stock of bike parts. They only problem is that they have bikes everywhere making it difficult to move around and shop.

I have been visiting this shop for about a year now. The people at this shop are outstanding! They really understand that their customers are more then just a pay check at the end of the day. You can truly see that they love what they do and want you to love what your buying and be completely satisfied with it.
A few times I have bought my 6 year son with me to the store for different reasons. I can say without any doubt that the owner, his wife, and the employees of this store are family friendly.
You can’t have a bicycle shop only, with great people working at it, you must also have a nice selection of quality bicycles to fit everyone’s budget. This store also excels in that extremely well. New or used, for a kid, a lady, or a man if you can’t find it at this store, and they can’t get it for you… it simply has not been invented yet.
I have also had my bicycle worked on at this store, by far the best work I have seen! I have never had any repeat issues, but I am told they stand behind their work.
Also an add free bonus, this shop has the best shop rides in the area 30 to 60 people on most Tuesday nights ride from this shop. Down to the airport and back to the shop, thought residential street and Old Town Manassas. They also do a off road ride… Ask about the rides, no one get left behind.

Don’t look for any help here in an emergency. Crashed nearby while on a bike tour, found them on Unilocal.When I called and asked if they could help the response was no, I have other jobs and I get off soon. Not even a suggestion of other shops that might be able to help out. Bottom line — don’t look for sympathy here. There are better bike shops in Manassas!

Visited here today and expressed interest in jumping into the sport. Asked the long haired gentlemen if he would fit me for a frame. He asked my inseam size and told me I looked like a 53. He couldn’t have been less interested in helping me. Told me to go to the store website or FB page to learn more. I would not recommend this store to anyone looking for customer service.

This bike store is a real treasure. They can fix anything to perfection at a very low price. They are very personable and helpful, caring for what you are doing and interested in a refreshingly genuine manner. Very well stocked with all kinds of bikes.
I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Glad they are in my neighborhood, but I would travel a long ways for their service.

First off Danny is an awesome guy. Great help and very friendly.
That being said the prices are fair and the repairs are quick. You can tell the shop is not a big corporate to-​do place.
The only thing which is not a complaint is the small location. Still an awesome place.

Fantastic shop with an owner who really cares about his customers. He’s honest and helpful – even with my teenager who tends to jump at the coolest looking bike whether it fits her needs or not. Great prices, and warranty and free tuneups with each bike purchased. So happy to support a great, local small business.

Danny is very friendly and an excellent mechanic, as well as supporting local teams and bike clubs with support from the shop. I highly recommend Bull Run Bikes for any repairs or parts you need.

Excellent service from an independent bike shop. I bought a takeoff group set and had Danny install it on my bike. He did an excellent job at a very reasonable price and has provided a couple of adjustments for cable stretch at no charge. He also brokered a deal with another customer who was looking for a takeoff group set and ended up purchasing the one that came off my bike. Danny did not even want to take any payment for brokering the deal. He has certainly turned me into a loyal client. The weekly bike rides are a nice benefit of having a local shop as sell.

My top recommendation, 5 Stars ! Super knowledgeable, cool bikes, great after-​the-​sale service & warranty. There are even casual group rides to join if your so inclined. (Like ‘em on Facebook for ride announcements)

I love this store! I was going around to different bicycle shops in Northern Virginia for the first 4 years I lived in Virginia and found Bull Run Bicycles online about a year ago while searching for more shops in my area. Even better that they were less than a mile from my house. The first time I went to the shop and met Danny was about 5 minutes from his shop closing and I had just snapped my chain and walked about 4 miles out of fountainhead. Danny stayed 30 minutes passed closing time to show me different things I could use and sold me a new chain and chain tool. Since then, Danny has tuned both of my mountain bikes, helped clean up and work on my 1939 Schwinn Ace antique bicycle, helped with my wife’s bike, and today sold me my first road bike. The atmosphere around the shop is as friendly as it gets. The group rides that meet at the shop for road and mountain bikes are great! I even showed up to a road ride with a mountain bike and they held to their «no rider left behind» policy even though I was dragging behind.
This is definitely one of those shops that you go in for a part and you come out with friends!

So my chain breaks on a bike I am borrowing from my buddy a couple of months ago. We go into the store and there are 3 employees sitting there and one guy is working on a bike. My buddy and I are the only customers in the store and we ask them if they can throw on a chain real quick.
He says «Ummmmmmm…naaaa…I am about to roll out for the day.» I literally thought he was joking, but he wasn’t. My buddy and I were in a pickle and purchase a chain anyway and put it on in the parking lot. The chain was a little to long, but we did what we could because they wouldn’t help us out.
I just couldn’t believe they wouldn’t want to help a paying customer. It is the closest bike shop to my house and I just purchased a nice new bike… and I will NEVER be back to purchase anything.

Yeah, this place is as awesome as everyone says.
The first time I went the place was PACKED (Saturday, I suppose) and since the register was busy, I accidentally asked some random dude on a stool if he worked there (he didn’t). The guy behind the counter (who actually worked there) not only answered my question about brake pad replacement on the spot, but 30 seconds later he shows up right next to me asking about the details of my bike and the pros/​cons of replacing squeaky brake pads vs. getting a new bike. Even gave me some suggestions on how to fit a new bike.
Went back again today to bring in my new (used) bike for a tune-​up and the guy behind the counter (who I can only assume is Danny) took one look at it and could tell me his estimations on the year (based on the brand and type of brakes?) it was made and noticed one brake pad was on backwards.
Will update on the result of the tune-​up but I have a feeling it’ll be nothing surprising (i.e. awesome)!

This a great, locally owned and operated full-​service bike shop. It offers a good selection of entry level, medium range and high end bikes in road, hybrid and mountain styles. They carry every possible biking accessory and knick-​knack you can think of. So if you are in a bind and need something on the spot, chances are they will have it and the owner/​operator can install or fix it for you.
Thank brings me to the owner/​operator, Danny Quirk. Here is a humble guy that lives, loves and breathes bikes of all shapes and sizes. He even knew all the little details of my mid 1990’s Cannondale mountain bike right down to the exact color and decals. And no, I did not have my bike with me at the time so there is no way he could have sneaked a peek ahead of time. On the recommendation of a friend, I visited the store in order to purchase some new tubes and tires. Even though I spent very little money, Danny made me feel like his best customer. I really appreciate that!
If you are looking for a lower quality wholesale club bike, this is not your place. Although you may find that the prices are still very competitive. But if you are looking for an affordable, quality bike shop with great, knowledgeable service from someone who loves bikes, look no further. This place is the real deal. Very highly recommended.
