I give 5 star strictly for the customer service. The store, in my opinion is a little overpriced. With certain things. Some things are cheap. But I do love it here. The employees are always always very nice and so helpful. Never came across anyone rude here. Never had a bad experience shopping here.

The store was less than organized; sale signs hung up next to the wrong products, lots of different products without price tags, boxes opened, etc. I had walked around for about 30 minutes trying to get assistance, before I eventually gave up and left. Many staff rushed by me hurriedly with their heads down, not a single person said hello or asked if I needed help. It was a quiet Tuesday afternoon and I was one of only two customers in the entire store. It was very well staffed, with the two ladies up front chatting and a few more sales people on the floor.

You know those 20 percent off coupons you get in the mail? They never expire. Yes they print an expiration date on them but you can use them after the expiration date. They apply the discount to the highest priced purchase item. I like the way this store is organized and laid out. They also have ‘clearence’ items in most every isle around the store. Good products they may be scratched or dented but functional and at a deep discount. They have an unbelievable selection of kitchen items and gadgets as well. Is this the ‘Beyond’ part of their name? Maybe it’s the ‘Sharper Image’ products they sell like a clip on flashlight for your baseball cap. The staff is always friendly and helpful and they do all possible to move you through the checkout line as quickly as possible.

What’s there to say about BB&B that you probably already don’t know. They have nice, clean, yuppified stores that sell above average quality items for your home at very above average prices. But if you use one of those 20% off cards that they send in the mail like, every week, you can get some good deals here. And there is another reason to go to BB&B. For those who have succumbed and joined the Keurig revolution, they have like a bazillion different K-cups for sale here. Sure, you can get them cheaper in bulk at Costco, on sale at the Teeter, or a good store-brand option from Aldi, but the selection is limited. The 18-cup packs are about a $ 1.50 or so more than Target’s regular price, but there are oh so many options to choose from. And BB&B is one of those stores that is actually a little bit of fun to kill time and window shop at. If the wife is shopping at a nearby shop(like Lane Bryant or B&B Works) I always find myself biding my time at BB&B.

LOVE Bed Bath and Beyond, I even did my bridal registry there! This location in Manassas STINKS!!! The one in Alexandria, VA is AWESOME(where I originally registered) but after moving this locale was terrible. They wouldn’t honor my after wedding discount, twice when I found items in the Clearance section obviously opened and packaging broken I asked them if it was on sale. They refused to scan these open items which were located in the Clearance section very adamant that they weren’t on sale. I don’t have a good experience at this place… too bad.

Picked up my Wusthof 7 piece butcher block knife set that they were holding for me this evening. One thing I noted was that there was a sign out stating if you spent x amount of dollars on a Wusthof knife set — you’d get a free Bamboo cutting board. I asked the Manager about the board — he advised he was out of stock on that promotion and would not be getting any more. I advised him that he might want to take down a sign that sets an expectation for the customers that he could not meet. Not a big deal for me — I have plenty of nice cutting boards, including a really cool Bamboo one! I went to pick up my knife set — $ 299.00. I used a BB&B 20% off coupon to shave the price down and then used my two BB&B gift cards. After all that — remaining balance I had to pay was $ 69 and change! One thing I really like about this set is that it allows you to expand the knife set — the butcher block has 17 slots — seven of which are in use by the knives that came with the block — I can add six steak knives, plus 4 more Wusthof kitchen knives. The downside is that I don’t think the slots on this block will accept a Wusthof cleaver. Oh well.
