I’m very surprised to see the negative reviews here, when we had such a great experience with this company last week.
My mother used this company years ago, to have spray foam insulation in her attic done, otherwise we would have seen these negative reviews and not even have given them a chance.
We have one ac hvac unit for a 3 level 3000 sq house in Alexandria. We bought our home two years ago, and have had 76 – 77 degrees on the top level, ⁷¹⁄₇₂ on the mail level, and 65 in the basement in the summer.
We called Absolute insulation, and 2 other places to get quotes. Absolute insulation had the best price by FAR, and their customer service was above excellent. We had our attic done, and the walls in our garage done with blown cellulose. The team arrive early on both days, were very professional, cleaned up any mess that was made, and some of them were ex marines like I am. Our home now gets 71 upstairs, 70 on the main level, and 67 in the basement.
I cannot express the level of happiness with how this turned out. We were contemplating getting an extra HVAC system just for the top level which would have been at least 9k. The cost of the foam and cellulose was so inexpensive compared to this.
DO YOURSELF A FAVOR, AND GIVE THESE PEOPLE A CALL!!!

In my 13 years of owning a house in Dumfries, there is absolutely no doubt that Absolute Insulation Services is the worst contractor I have ever used.
Very pleasant on the phone, but the quality of their work screams «F YOU» — it was so bad, their work showed so much contempt for me as a customer that I didn’t contact them back to ask them to undo the mess they made. It was like going to a restaurant and feeling that they may spit in my soup if I complained about something.
Where to start? They insulated the attack of my garage with a spray-​on insulation and had the garage door up, leaving a LOT of sticky insulation on my door. In rubbing it off, I rubbed of some of the paint. They got the spray everywhere — yes in the walls, but everywhere else too. I had a flooring system in my garage attic and when I asked them if it was put back together, they flat-​out lied to me and said «Yes» — I double-​checked and they hadn’t done a thing to put the flooring system back. I made them do this before they left.
And now I just realized that they covered the soffits with cardboard to keep them from filling up with foam (a good practice) but they never pulled them out, so my attic wasn’t able to breathe. So yet another hour+ of my work to get in these tiny spaces to pull them out.
I should have called them but again, with the pure contempt they showed me as a customer (by the shoddiness of their work), I didn’t want them even in my zip code. I would strongly suggest that you avoid this company at all costs.
