History

Established in 2008.

Being HUGE animal Lovers ourselves is easy for us to love and spoil our furry family but, finding a place to leave our own pets was hard to do. We simply didn’t take vacations together because we could not feel good about leaving them anywhere and enjoy our vacation at the same time. Our dogs are used to sleeping in bed with us, down pillows and having a seat at our table, so concrete slab and chain link cages was simply not an option for our rescue dogs, we would hate for them to feel like they were back in the shelter. Our pets are our family! So with our experience in the Veterinary field, animal shelters and other boarding facilities we made Lucky’s a place we can leave our pets and feel comfortable. Knowing our pets are well cared for and loved 24 hours a day in a clean, safe place and friendly environment.

Tours are always welcome during our Boutique hours.

My name is Lucky. I am a Wire Hair Fox Terrier that my Parents rescued from the Newark Animal Shelter. I was found as a stray with Bullets in my chest and naming me LUCKY fit perfectly!

Lucky’s Bed & Biscuit is a 17,000 sq. ft Pet hotel, with 24 hour care, Suites for all the guests, Indoor Swimming Pool, Daycare, Boutique and More. Please check out our website, like us on facebook or take a tour of our hotel!

My dog loved this place. Well at least I think he did, he can’t talk you know. This is where we placed our loved one as we went on our family vacation without him. Yea I know we are cruel, but he had lots o fun without us. They have a large indoor play area complete with a small built in pool. The dogs have group playtime together, heck they even will give your pet a birthday party while he is there. The staff is great and the prices are more than reasonable for the care of our Sir Eli.

My dogs stayed at Lucky’s for a week and I am so grateful for the way they took care of my fur babies! My
Jack Russell is 15 and had just had surgery. They took extra special care of her. Richie, the manager, truly
cares about the animals in his care as does the rest of the staff. The owner, Reggie, came back at night to take my dog to the emergency vet. It is so clean there and I felt very comfortable leaving them there. Thanks
again!!!

Place is clean and very well maintained .
The animal care staff is awesome, and should be applauded ! What I have a hard time with is the initial greeting by the reception /​front desk. I’m met in the morning by a gum popping Tara. I’m trying to get to work in a rush and I get a finger held up so I can wait until she drinks her coffee /​tea. I don’t understand why a good place does themselves a disservice by not hiring better people, like the folks in the back. I’m also met with hair flinging Jenna who’s more concerned with looking in a mirror at herself, then checking me out. Come on you can certainly hire more presentable employees

Our dog stayed for a few days while the family was on LBI. The location is very convenient for anyone on a beach vacation and the accommodations are great. The pup slept the whole car ride home so she was happy and exhausted!

Used their doggie day care today for the first time and my dog loved it & came home so tired… woo hoo! We did this as a trial run before boarding her & we will definitely board her here. Facilities are clean & safe and the staff is outstanding! I wish I could stay there! :) I highly recommend Lucky’s!

This place is amazing! The facilities are beautiful with an awesome indoor pool, great outdoor play areas and immaculate sleeping facilities. You have the ability to watch your dog 24⁄7 on an app from your smart phone if you opt for the suite and you can call 24⁄7 to order your dog room service from their menu because they are staffed 24⁄7. Prices are reasonable and the staff is great, always giving updates anytime you call. Every time you pick up your pet you get a written report with detailed info like how many times they went to the bathroom, what they did during play times, updated weight of your pet, etc. We have had our dog groomed here and even private training sessions during her stay and we were impressed with everything. The store in the lobby is great with lots of healthy natural treats, toys and all other pet supplies at reasonable prices. I also love how they have cats for adoption in the lobby! I only wish this place was closer!

Armani my Yorkie & I think Lucky’s is amazing. Armani has only stayed for daycare but will be staying overnight soon. The workers are friendly, caring, loving and treat the «guests» like family. If you truly feel like your dog is family, you may want to give Lucky’s a try for daycare and/​or boarding.

I love this place. Very clean and very friendly especially the owner. She is a very sweet person. I can’t wait to take my dog to the grooming and play date. This is a great place for any dog. They have great things for dogs and cats.

I love Lucky’s and so does my dog. I drive all the way from Delaware to bring my dog there… he spent the Summer there when I went to LBI and now I can’t take him anywhere else. When he is there I know that he is being taken care of and loved like he is one of their own. I highly recommend!

I cannot say enough about this place. The dogs just love it here. They always come home tired and happy. I know if I have to leave my dog overnight or over the weekend, I am leaving him with family. The people here truly care about each and every dog. I would not leave my dog anywhere else. As a single woman, it is wonderful to have such a trusted resource to take care of my pet when I need it.
