The Mountain Center

The mountain center is one of my go-​to shops in Mammoth Lakes! They have everything you could possibly need for a day on the slopes including boards, boots, bindings, helmets, you name it. They also have ski and snowboard clothing like jackets, pants, gloves, beanies, ski socks, and more. Rentals & Demos available here. I reccomend making a reservation so all you have to do is pick up your gear in the morning or better yet, get the gear the night before so in the morning you can just hit the slopes. I did this when I did not own my own gear when I started out.

–Bike sales, rentals, repairs, and demos and big selection of accessories during the summer.

–Lift tickets available for purchase here.
Cons:
–Very pricey for gear during the season.
–Hard to find a parking spot on holiday weekends.
TIP: Don’t buy ski & snowboard gear here during the ski season, instead buy it during summer when all the Mammoth Mountain sport shops bring the gear down here and use it as an outlet. Huge summer clearance sales on hardgoods & softgoods up to 65% off! I got a Lib Tech Skate Banana normally for $ 450 for $ 250 50% off! Goggles were only $ 20! Mtn biking gear usually isn’t discounted that time of year though. (I almost fainted when I saw that a pair of shorts were a whopping $ 80!!) I will definately shop here again.
