On arrival kelli was very nice and with a super attitude. I been to the chalets before but really did not pay much attention to the staff as u was overwhelmed with the snow.
The cabins are super and very clean, dan stop by to pick up trash and refill toilet paper.
I want to go back but they are so book.
6 stars for customer service and friendliness.

Mammoth Mountain Chalets was wonderful! The location for skiing and snow play couldn’t be better! We shared our chalet with 2 families and were cozy and comfortable. The kids could play out in the snow all around the chalets and go sledding right out the front door. Kelli and Jim were more than hospitable and helped with any assistance we needed (clean linens right away when ours got dirty). The chalets are rustic and quaint and can accommodate large groups. We are looking forward to returning next year!

I cannot say enough good things about the chalets (although I’m tempted to keep it quiet so that we’ll have a good chance of availability for next time!); the location couldn’t be better, the buildings themselves are adorable, and Jim and Kelli are pleasant, engaged, and helpful managers.
After just two visits, we have decided the Chalets are our new home at Mammoth and can’t imagine staying anywhere else!

We had the absolute most amazing time at this place this past weekend. It was absolutely perfect for a ski/​snowboard weekend with friends. It was my fiancé’s 27^th birthday so I naturally wanted everything to be perfect, and it really couldn’t have worked out better. The family that manages the cabins (Kelli & Jim) are amazing. They are so friendly and make you feel extremely welcome. From the gecko they provide excellent customer service, with email updates on snowfall, and then an email a week before with all the details you need to get there, policies, etc. right up until our trip. A couple of our cars got stuck in the snow when we got there and Jim was nice enough to help us get out! The chalet we were in (chalet #19) was stocked full of 2 cords of firewood! We couldn’t believe it. Everything was also super affordable and they even allow dogs for a small $ 50 fee and as long as it’s well-​behaved, but it depends on the cabin. While we were there we would step out of the cabin and right onto the mountain, it was perfectly situated right next to the gondola. Thank you Mammoth Mtn Chalets to a winter weekend we’ll never forget! We will definitely be back!!!

Our recent stay at Mammoth Mountain Chalets was wonderful. We appreciated that the garbage was picked up daily, for critter control purposes, and that the management team was always available and responsive to our needs! We highly recommend these chalets for their location, which is a bus ride to Ansel Adams and John Muir wilderness trails and within walking distance for families to visit the Adventure Center and ride the gondola to Mammoth Mountin. We definitely will be back!

Just Got back from a mountain bike trip to Mammoth. Terrible experience with the staff on the mountain. The guys at the rental and repairs were rude and acted like they did not want to be bothered. I needed air in my tires and they just pointed to a corner to a pump and said you can use that. When I tried to get service at the adventure center they did not want to help either. They overfilled my tires to the point they could pop and they had no tire gage. How a shop could not have a gage is beyond me. Also the wait for the shuttle was about a hour. Could only get three runs in because they only one one shuttle from the village to main. Not worth the $ 60 price for a ticket. I will go to North Star from now on. Mammoth bike park should get its act together. Customer service is still important.

We had a marvelous stay at the mammoth mountain chalets. Wonderful interiors, very good service and an excellent location to all the action at main lodge. I Highly recommend the adventure center for the kids (I have a 4 & 8 year old who had a blast!) the adventure center offers…

reasonably priced too Kids Adventure Pass — $ 39 Let your kids loose for the entire day at the ultimate mountain playground! My only qualm was that they had a yummy burrito cart by the center but from my experience a hot dog or hamburger cart would be a great addition for some kid friendly food close to the activities.
The chalet we stayed in (#1)was top notch… Stunning views, spacious, clean and best location to the lodge and family fun… The nights are quiet and cozy with a perfect fireplace and a well stocked kitchen with everything needed…
Keli and Jim made sure we had everything was at the highest standard and made us feel like part of the family…
Behind the chalet is a beautiful hiking trail, not too strenuous perfect for all ages. My kids rode bikes and collected treasures for hours. Oh and I can’t forget for the bike riders of all ages the chalets are right across from the Mammoth Mountain Bike Park which offers terrain for every ability level.
All in all this was our best mammoth trip yet! So glad we stayed here excited to book more dates in the future!

The listing for Chalet #22 is spot – on, yet still doesn’t do it enough justice! The photos perfectly capture the chalet, but can’t convey the beauty of the location, and what a peaceful, easy feeling the chalet has. Best part, is you can be totally relaxed yet be skiing in moments with the easy slope access. There was plenty of room for all of us to cook dinner, eat, and enjoy games and the fireplace without ever feeling cramped. The renovations are beautiful, yet the chalet has old school charm. I can’t wait to come back and visit the chalet in the summer!

Chalet 23 was the perfect place for our group. There is not a better location on the mountain– the cabin is nestled far enough back that you have privacy and can enjoy the gorgeous area, but so easy to get to from both the slopes and the parking lot. Being able to actually ski in and ski out made it so convenient for our group to get in the most possible hours of skiing everyday. Coming back to the chalet at the end of the day and enjoying the fireplace, while still being able to see the slopes from the front porch was the best part of the day. Would recommend this cozy cabin to families, groups up to 8 people, and anyone who appreciates maximizing the ski day and relaxing in a simple, traditional cabin after a long day. John was very attentive and flexible with any questions about the property, as well, and the management was always easily reachable. We will be back!

We just returned from a 3-​night stay in Chalet #17, and had a great time there. Tim, one of the co-​managers, is super-​friendly and helpful. The chalet was very comfortable and well-​furnished, with great amenities and a decent Internet connection considering the location.
Even though the snow coverage was pathetic due to drought, there was enough man-​made snow for a full day of skiing on probably 50 different runs from the top to the bottom of the mountain. I highly recommend the ski rental service that the Chalets have a partnership with – great service and very good equipment.
We’ll definitely be back!

Loved our stay in our spacious comfortable chalet with an amazing one of a kind view. Full on view of the mountain from the living room and ample deck — breathtaking. Really allowed us to appreciate nearby nature while being so proximate to the gondola. #16 chalet. Superb!!!

Just ended our stay here in Chalet #14 and had a great time. This is a hidden gem for sure! Literally ski-​in /​ski-​out, even with the low snow this early in the season. They pulled up a snowcat for our large group so that we didn’t have to wrangle our gear through the snowy 100 yards to our cabin. Even at my age this was an exciting treat so I’m sure kids go crazy for that. Like other reviewers said, the cabins are not luxury but they are very clean and well maintained and have everything you need for an enjoyable weekend. Staff was very accommodating before and during our stay. I would recommend bringing your own pillows (for this chalet at least — others may be better equipped). We will be back again for sure!

The weekend before Thanksgiving 2013, we spent a glorious three days at this charming, cozy, warm and lovely chalet number 23.
The accommodations and enmities were magnificent!
The Chalet is two story with a total of three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The kitchen is fully equipped and complete with every possible utensil you can think of. There was also a washer and dryer and a marvelous collection of Board Games!
The Wifi service was very robust much better than most major hotels. There’s also HD TV service with an excellent large flat screen TV.
The scenery was so inspiring that we were just in awe with the beautiful snow, trees and nature. You can see the skiers coming down the slopes all day long.
The Chalet is hands down much nicer than a hotel and charmingly homier than a condo and also dog friendly, which most hotels and condos are not. It is directly situated behind the main Lodge and just a few steps to Mountain Bike Center and Gondola with many hiking trails starting right at the front door.
Mammoth Mountain Chalets is in partnership with the Inyo National Forest.
I could write much more on how wonderful our stay was however, what put the cherry on the top was the incredible and genuinely warm service we received from the management team of Romey, Dale and Tim. They were the most thoughtful and accommodating folk we have encountered ever on any of our many travels. When we arrived they greeted us like family. It was around 8:30 pm when we arrived, there was a snow storm with temps in the 20s, and Dale helped us with our luggage and drove us up to the Chalet in a Snow Cat. The chalet is just a few yards away but with 12 – 16 feet of snow a regular vehicle could not pass. BTW — The Snow Cat service is included.
Anyhow, this was a memorable mini vacation and we plan to come here from now on. Mammoth is one of our favorite places and we have been coming here for decades, both during the summer and winter seasons. We only wish we had discovered this Chalet long ago.

We stayed at Mammoth Mountain Chalets in October. We had a wonderful time. The cabin was so clean and comfortable! It was very well stocked also. I would go back there in a heartbeat. In fact, I didn’t want to leave and can’t wait to go back!
Romie Cushman, the on-​site manager, went above and beyond. She was so helpful and knowledgeable.

We just came back from four days of heaven! We had a great experience at the mountain chalets to say the least. I didn’t know what to expect because it was our first time in mammoth. We went 6 families, each two staying in one chalet. The kids had so much fun enjoying nature. The chalets were equipped with everything you can imagine.
Our cabin had tons of board games for the kids and adults to enjoy. We went fishing two days in the lake. The nature was so beautiful. The kids enjoyed playing around outside. We will definetly come back in the winter. The chalets were clean and cozy. The people in the office were hospitable, helpful and friendly.

We can’t say enough great things about the Mammoth Mountain Chalets. My husband, our 2 boys (ages 10 & 12) along with our labrador retriever stayed at Chalet #23 for a week this past July. The chalet had everything you could possibly need to be comfortable while on vacation. Romie and Dale, the property managers were great. They gave us good recommendations of the area and were very attentive. Our family enjoyed mountain biking and hiking right out of the front door of this chalet. The chalet was so close to the Bike Adventure Center that we were able to bike back to the chalet at lunch time and then ride right back down to the gondola to do some more mountain biking! We will be contacting you soon to book next summer’s vacation!

Huge mountain! More runs than you can keep track of. The Village a great place to hang out for a drink or eat dinner after a long day being a snow bunny.

Had a good experience in chalet #21. Property mgmnt is friendly and helpful. We stayed in early August 2012. They emptied the trash daily. Supplied towels if asked and cleaned the place when we left.

My family and I were heading back home from a week stay in Lake Tahoe and decided to stay in Mammoth for a couple days. Found the Chalets on line and were able to book a couple of nights at the last minute. The manager, Romie, could not have been nicer or more accommodating. Our place was one of the smaller chalets but was perfect for our family of four. Very clean and had all the essentials of home. Location could not have been more perfect. Walked to the main lodge where our kids enjoyed all of the activities. Great access to all of the biking trails as well as a nice hiking trail to Minaret Summit without getting in the car. Will absolutely be back.

Please note that this review is the FIRST for Mammoth Mountain Chalets. The other reviewer here is discussing a condo complex 8 miles away called Seasons Four as she mentions. So her review does not belong here under Mammoth Mountain Chalets which are individually owned Chalets ON Mammoth Mountain itself, next to Main Lodge and behind Mammoth Mountain Inn. Ski/​In out access is via Lower Roadrunner i.e. the cat track we all take back from the backside at the Right of the bottom of chair 12.
Anyhoo, I rented a Mammoth Mountain Chalet cuz the dude I was seeing had a couple doggies that he likes to take to the snow and it was his birthday. Since we both have season passes to Mammoth, he deserved to be spoiled, and I wanted to do that spoiling, ;) I did some Googling and I found this place has a few chalets that take pets and it’s kinda romantic too!!!
Let me also say that I have rented various types of lodging at Mammoth for a very long time, and more than once a year, and I take others with me who also go on to rent places. I previously have shied away from the Chalets because their old web site provided no photos or clear info on the bedding arrangements. They have a new website now and although it clearly needs more detail and pictures it was enough to make me pluck down the fee for a place.
I rented in my opinion, a very attractive Chalet that took pets #23. The onsite staff could have not been nicer or more communicative regarding the rental and complexities surrounding it (you must be snow-​catted in all at once etc). Upon arrival the TV was broke and they took care of it right away and they started our fire. I had guests coming at all hours and they were cool with providing directions. We followed their rules of 1 snowcat in and 1 out and they helped us take photos and load/​unload the cat and have us extra parking passes and offered a later checkout. :D
In all was a great stay and I will be going back. My only complaints are that the housekeeping was a bit lax, the web site did not tell me up front the extra fee per pet, I found out later, and there where very few drinking glasses in the Chalet. I know the latter is the owners not the managements fault. Only 3 glasses were in a Chalet that slept 9! Oh and the cancellation policy is very strict with you needing to cancel 30 full days prior.
Still the chalet was a treat and staff great. I’m going back!
