I would just like to first day: thank you to the staff of Juniper Springs Resort for the awesome experience! I got a studio room with a couple friends for an epic boarding weekend. I thought we just got a place that was strictly a spot to stay in. NOPE, I was wrong. The awesome staff was so nice and helpful as it was our first time in mammoth. The morning started with fresh breakfast burritos you can buy in the morning but hurry down, they sell out fast. They service staff have shuttles going to the main lifts, Von’s, and a pick up system that will pick you up if you need a ride back
ROOM: the room was quite large in size and spacious. The kitchen has the essentials you need to cook & and big fridge to hold you 30 pack of Coors lol. Overall, we had a great time and want to book again for another weekend here. Maybe even hit up that heated pool! Well deserved 5 out of 5 for juniper springs resort!

I give this place an absolute 5 star rating! Emily at the front desk helped us plan our vacation. She answered all of our questions and had so much patience with us. I was so impressed by the service and the beauty of the resort!

All the rooms are condos with full kitchens and it’s ski on ski off starting after Dec 18^th.

We were overall pleased w the accommodations. I’d have given them 5 stars except that our fireplace was not operational, and our lock door was not up to par. The staff was helpful and pleasant. Well stocked unit (one bedroom condo).
We loved the heated pool and spas (3). It was lovely to see snowflakes fall as we soaked in hot tub.
Free shuttle into town was offered, as well as transportation to skiing/​lifts.
Will def come again

Loved this place. Excellent 1 bedroom condo. I don’t know what else they have, but I have heard they have studios too.
Very spacious with a full kitchen.
Only problem is that when we were here, nov 10 – 12, the lift wasn’t running yet so it was not truly a slope side ski in and ski out experience. Make sure you call ahead to make sure it is running. If you have to drive to mammoth resort, it can take I’ve 30 min depending on conditions. And make sure you have chains.
Staff here is mixed. There was a young girl here who was very nice and took the time to answer all of our questions. The pretty brunette. Thank you for your help.

Stayed here for the weekend as my first trip to mammoth. It is breathtaking and juniper probably has the prettiest location to stay at up here. It’s close to everything and easy to find. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The two girls at the front when we checked in took the time to give us some ideas of things to do/​places to eat at up here. The rooms are nice (although the website is a little misleading as to it being a cabin). Full amenities is nice to have and the fireplace is a bonus! Although the bed is AWFUL. I slept on the pullout the second night. Also, the Wi-​Fi never worked properly on any of our devices. Overall, I highly recommend staying here and will definitely return.

I just came back from visiting Mammoth for the first time and Juniper Springs Resort contributed so much to my stay being so memorable. My boyfriend and I came here for a weekend birthday vacation and were upgraded to a one bedroom suite which included a kitchen with everything you would ever need (if your into cooking while on vacation). I was so blown away at how beautiful the views were outside our 3^rd floor patio. Very comfortable beds and feather pillows made me never want to leave! They have free dvd rentals in the check in area also! Beautiful resort and i will definitely be back!

In early August I had just exited the JMT and needed a place to stay in Mammoth. Little did I know it was the annual brews and blues festival and everything was booked. Fortunately though I had stayed at Mammoth Mountain before so I gave them a call hoping that might help get me a room. My problem was I only needed a room for one night. They were enforcing a two or maybe three night stay at most places. However, the wonderful person who helped me said she would call around to see if someone could get me in for just one night. Bingo! We got lucky and reserved a two bedroom suite that would sleep six comfortably with two full baths.
We got into Mammoth a bit early and decided to see what the earliest time we could check-​in. Initially the response was 4:00pm guaranteed. Hold on; we can switch some things around and get you in a room now?!. Now I am not going to tell you how early it was but I was pretty stunned at this wonderful generosity! Yes the room is very expensive but worth every penny.
Spacious, spotless, the air conditioning in the room worked very well, the kitchen was well stocked with everything you’d need to cook a gourmet meal and there were enough shower and pool towels for six or more people. I almost forgot to mention the comfy robes! I don’t understand everyone’s complaints about the air? The bath products were quality as well; normally I would take them all home but since I was hitting the trail again I couldn’t carry them. Our room was right by the pool and spa area which we took advantage of as well. Very peaceful with the views off the balcony of the mountain are gorgeous.
Definitely a five star experience for me and my friends. Thank you Juniper Springs for taking care of ‘hiker trash’ so well!

This is NOT a good summer spot. No air conditioning!
We reserved a room at this hotel as relief from camping all week in smoke filled air. We have a small child and didn’t want to expose her to the smokey atmosphere anymore.
The location is beautiful and the outside of the hotel is quite impressive. Inside the room the pillows were nice, we had a fire place and there was plenty of room including a full kitchen with granite counter tops. The pool and spa area seemed nice at night but I wouldn’t say it’s a «resort pool».
Upon checking in to the «resort» the receptionist was unfriendly, didn’t smile and told me there would be a $ 20.00 resort fee plus tax. I’m not sure why this hotel is considered a resort so I asked what the fee included. She responded «everything you see. And there’s free coffee in the rooms.» So I’m paying $ 22.80 (with tax) for no AC, a standard hotel and coffee?!
Every room in the hotel was hot, smelled like smoke and was dirty. Old carpeting has a black trail of dirt running down the middle of every hallway. Our room had stains, torn carpet, cob webs and run down furniture. It could have been very nice had it been kept up better.
I was really excited to stay here but I’m sorry, not impressed.
I’m sure it has a better feel in the winter but as for summer, save your money and go elsewhere.

Cons:
It was NOT cheap to stay here, so when we opened the door and were immediately hit with the sour smell of what must have been a leak or flood that got into the carpet, we were not thrilled. Gross.
Our room (236) was tidy but otherwise stale and dusty and dingy. The carpet was torn and the shower faucet is a joke. The patio was FILTHY with webs in every corner, rat droppings on the floor and bonus: the tail end of someone’s left-​over joint!
The TV wouldn’t work, the cable wall-​plate was just hanging off the wall entirely. Called maintenance. Turns out the TV’s on a GFI with the absolutely necessary ceiling fan so we got to deal with re-​setting the GFI over and over.
The wifi is paper thin. Once the other guests either wake up in the morning or return at night good luck doing anything online. You won’t be able to.
You get like 20 of the strangest TV channels and no basic channels like CBS, NBC etc. We tried watching Netflix or Hulu instead but thanks to the wifi I’ve already mentioned that was basically impossible.
The coffee shop opened late every single day. The poor girl who works the coffee shop is VERY nice but for some unknown reason the management pays an unreliable outside baker and then tasks HER with picking up the pastries. Which were either not ready or not there at all. So instead of her being in the café on time at least setting up the coffee and allowing guests to buy cereal or other drinks — we all get to have nothing while the girl is stuck chasing pastries down.
The lack of AC was something we knew about and decided to tolerate but a word to the wise: if there’s a fire anywhere near (ours was 250 miles away) you’ll have two choices: A cool room filled with smoke or a hot room not filled with smoke. And in our case a hot room that smelled like smoke AND mildew because it was no longer being aired out! Blech.
Pros:
The surrounding area is gorgeous
The noise control is fantastic
The cleaning staff is friendly and responsive
The bed was comfortable
Parking was close and easy
Check in was easy
The lobby is relaxing and pretty as is the pool area
They have bocce and table tennis by the pool. Fun!

This place sucks. Do not believe the pics. Irritated at expedia and people that actually think this place deserves 4 stars.
After a nice long all day trip to get here,
Room keys don’t work, phone not working, neither TV works, have to call maintenance. Shower head loose, sprays water all over bathroom. Pool is really small, the smallest wattage light bulbs possible so the room is nice and dim. Actually, all the lights here are really dim. Get LEDs. No AC. Really? This place is probably worth how many millions? More? and no AC? Don’t care if this is a ski resort, there’s this thing called summer. Everything here is old. Carpet threadbare. All furniture is old, hard and uncomfortable.
Needs makeover from head to toe, can’t wait to leave. I seriously considered leaving within the first hour, to find another hotel, but didn’t feel like re packing the car. And wasting money as well.
The good

PRO: This place is exactly what it looks like in the pictures, they give military discounts and is in a beautiful location. They upgraded us to a one bedroom instead of a studio. It’s pretty tight if it’s more than 4 people, but I’m due you still can squeeze everyone in. They provide two floor mats someone can sleep on and the couch is also a pull out. They offer all kinds of TV shows and the kitchen is full complete with knives, utensils, pots and pans, dishes, broom, coffee maker. even a crockpot. They have washing machines for laundry too. They have 3 hot tubs and a pool, 2 grills and a fire pit. Also a game room for kids.
Cons: since it was summer the rooms got hot and there is no A/​C in the rooms they just provide a fan. The couch also was missing an arm rest… Weird.
Anyways I would most definitely stay here again. Beautiful area, beautiful place, clean and friendly people.

Juniper was the perfect place to stay on our little getaway! We arrived into town a little earlier than expected and Sabrina at the front was so nice to move things around to find us a room that was already available. The views are great, the rooms are spacious and clean. I love the little factors like the small porch and the fire place; it really made you feel cozy and at home. I will definitely be back here on my next visit to Mammoth. The condo style is perfect and really comes in handy for those night that are really cold and you would rather make something to eat inside than going back out after your long day.

Anyone seeking a breathtaking view and memorable experience at Mammoth, must rent the lodges from Juniper Springs.
My family and I rented a three story lodge that included four bedrooms, 4.5 baths, jacuzzi, kitchen, bbq grill on the balcony, fireplace, and even washing machines. One room had four bunk beds and a fold out couch, maximizing the amount of people that could stay. At $ 900 a night, many would shriek, but one look at any of the views from the windows, you’ll forget about the price.
My complaint is that not all the TV’s are connected to cable tv, however, all have xbox360/​ps4, apple tv, and netflix! Fully and impeccably furnished, this place will make you feel like you’re camping without compromising the luxurious feel. A beautiful rental home that I’d love to rent again. Shuttles from the main office will take you back and forth to the lodge too. There are busses that conveniently take you to the mammoth ski/​snowboarding lodge for free as well!

Conclusions: This place is Mammoth’s most desired and requested properties offering beautiful views of the mountains and the town of Mammoth Lakes. I only thought lodges like this exist in movies, but Juniper Springs makes it a reality. Anyone needing a motivator to succeed in life so they can afford these places on the daily? This place will do it. Of course, more affordable places are available to stay too!

My fiancé and I compared reviews and various hotels in the area. We were happy we chose to stay at Juniper Springs for five nights. It doesn’t provide the best selection of amenities compared to other resorts I’ve stayed at. With a $ 20 daily resort fee, I expected a little more. There is only a coffee shop and no restaurants. They do provide an exclusive and free shuttle that takes you anywhere, which was nice when it was time to do a Vons run or visit The Village. There are also lockers for you skis and snowboards. There is a gym, pool and jacuzzis that were great to relax our muscles after a long day. Even though our room was already paid for, they put a $ 1000 hold ($ 200/​night) on my fiancé’s credit card for incidentals without notifying us during check-​in.
The location is the best part of this hotel. As it’s ski in and out next to the Eagle Express chair and Eagle Lodge with rentals and the lessons, it was the perfect spot for a beginner snowboarder like myself and intermediate skier like my fiancé.
We liked that our room had a kitchen. It was convenient for those nights we wanted to stay in or eat leftovers for lunch. The TV faced the couch and not the bed, which is something we were not used to. The pillows and bed could have been firmer, but after a long day, the firmness didn’t matter. There was also Aveda products in the bathroom.
The staff was nice and friendly. They offered to store our luggage before we checked in and after we checked out since we wanted to maximize the time on the slopes. Although some things could have been better, the location is the main reason that I would stay here again.

Third time I have stayed at a mammoth property, again disappointed. It’s 3 pm and the store is closed, skied all day and needed water, front desk had water but only accepts cash. Who carries cash anymore. Lady in the morning suggested to we take shuttle because runs outside of lodge are bad, we did as suggested she failed to tell us you need to take two shuttles and that it would take an hour.
Love the mountain, however this is not a 4 star property.
I will never book here again.

Absolutely beautiful.
This is the place to stay if you’re planning a trip to Mammoth. The check in process was fantastic. The hotel rep was super friendly, engaged in convo, and even gave us a map of the area because we were looking for a bite to eat. It was snowing like crazy when we checked in and she gave us a card of a delivery service.
When we got to the one bedroom suite, it was super comfy and clean. The floor plan was spacious which included a balcony with an awesome view close to the lift. We had trouble locking the balcony door so a maintenance guy came out to help us. My only complaint? For some reason, the bed had ridiculous amounts of static. I was afraid to move or touch anything because I kept getting shocked.
The kitchen was also nice. We only utilized the fridge and microwave but loved it anyway. There’s even a dining room table which I used as a desk. The wifi worked well.
Parking was in a garage which was a total plus. It was freezing so we turned on the heater which worked quite well.
The prices were more than reasonable. I loved how close the slopes were to the room. Awesome. I can’t wait to come back and say here again.

We had a great stay here. Our room was like a mini condo equipped with a full kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, a dining table, family room and balcony. The kitchen was semi stocked with cups, towels, silverware… The balcony had 2 chairs, no end table. My blow dryer was broken but I just used the one in the other bathroom. The beds were very comfortable with big fluffy pillows. The maids also fold the towels like elephants, so fun! Our room had board games too so we Scrabbled it up.
The resort has 3 hot tubs and a large pool. The rooms come equipped with pool towels for your convenience. The garage is key carded and there is a workout area.
