Cog had a fly rod in hand at the age of 8 chasing brookies in Wisconsin creeks. «Some of the best time spent with my dad and other father — son’s were week long guided trips in the Rocky Mountain States. I try and recreate that experience in every guide trip I lead.»

Leaving his desk job in 2008, Cog joined the Troutfitter that summer. He attended Clearwater Guide School and has been guiding ‘walk & wade’ trips on the streams from Bishop to Bridgeport. Additionally, Crowley Lake boat trips and float tube trips are available.

Cog is an excellent communicator who loves to teach the young and old and share his passion for Eastern Sierra trout waters. «The biggest reward of every trip is to pass on a new ‘tool’ or concept that leaves the client with a better understanding of the sport and the independence to enjoy fly fishing more.»
