Just when I thought this place couldn’t suck any more than it already does. Though the self-scanners may be new, they still make mistakes. Today, two items didn’t ring up correctly so I helplessly looked around for someone to help. As usual, no one was anywhere near the self-service and I had a long line behind me. I rang up the items at the wrong price, paid and guess what? No bags anywhere!!! I get to the«Solutions» counter and there were like 7 people standing around at multiple sides – excuse me, where’s the line? It’s too bad the cashiers were too busy looking at baby pictures on someone’s phone to assist the people waiting.

It’s my regular supermarket because of the gasoline discount and the Schoolbucks program. They have upgraded all the checkout equipment and it works better now. As per the earlier reviews, self-checkout used to have problems all the time. Selection and freshness is good for a medium-sized supermarket(no frills like salad bars) but the staff attitude default seems to be grumpy. I just do my shopping and get in and out.

I am always asking my husband if we can go to another grocery store because every single time I come here there is a bad/odd experience. He says its the closest one to our house. It store has its own little world going on inside. I had had the cashier literally take all of my things in the basket and toss it upside down onto the scanner. I have seen a female employee kick a male employee in the scrotum. I have seen that elderly woman sit on them podium and eat chips out of the bag while screaming for her other employees on the loud speaker for like 15 minutes straight. I have been to produce and picked up boxes of moldy strawberries on top of the fresh ones. I have had another employee grunt at me. One shopping cart’s wheel completely fell of leaving it with three wheels. We were almost kicked off the 20 items or less line because we had like 23 items, I was very suprised because I had never seen the rules of this line enforced so deeply, especially at 9:30pm at night. Helllpppp!

I have been a loyal Stop & Shop customer for the past 10 years(about as long as I’ve been adult doing my own grocery shopping) but this location drives me insane. I love self-check out but the ones here NEVER work. None of them. One time it took me almost 20 minutes to check out because I had to manually enter almost everything. Since then I’ve wised up and use Scan It but there are never any plastic bags(am I the only one that still uses these?) so I have to go to the front and take them from the check out area every trip. Today was the last straw though on a busy Sunday afternoon I made it through the store fairly quickly and was ready to check out with my scan it order and the scan it only register wasn’t open for no apparent reason. So I got in the self checkout lines which were all 2 – 3 people deep and everyone was having problems. When I finally got to the front of my line my card wouldn’t scan because the self-check outs are all old/cruddy(as I mentioned above). Finally I figured out that you could manually enter your card and I was on my way but it was such a pain and the lines were so long. I continue to come here because they have some things I like that the Port Chester location doesn’t have and it’s convenient to my gym; I am seriously considering going elsewhere though because grocery shopping shouldn’t be this frustrating.

When you’ve seen one, you’ve seen them all. Nothing too extraordinary about this location. They have ample parking in their lot. Nice produce and deli section. Helpful staff. Could use a little cleaning.

No matter what they tell you inside this store it had been in the same condition for a decade. The technology is old, staff us rude and it makes the customers angry. Over all if you NEED food or can’t go any further come here.

Fully stocked, bright, fresh. Seemingly habitually full of customers searching for stuff they couldn’t find at the Trader Joe’s down the block. They have fresh flowers, fresh produce, bakery, specialty and seasonal goods as well as the usual stuff found in any large supermarket. Seafood and prepared sushi seemed fresh. There’s usually enough parking but entry and exit to the parking lot can be awkward.
