This review is in regards to the extremely rude front desk agent and/or manager at this hotel who need some serious help on their customer service skills. I called to ask if there beach was private and if you were allowed to bring alcohol(nothing hard) onto the beach. He responds, «No this isn’t a private beach and you aren’t allowed to drink on any private beaches in California.» Well, I wasn’t looking for a school lesson. A few miles up the beach is Paradise Cove, a beach you are allowed to bring in your own outside alcohol, as long as it’s not hard liquor. I reply, «Oh really? what about Paradise Cove up the street? It’s a private beach so I just wanted to ask if the alcohol rule extended to your premises.» «You can drink at the restaurant, but your not allowed to bring your own onto the beach.» I literally did not understand why he was arguing with me… a quick Google search will tell you yes, alcohol on the beach is permitted on Paradise Cove’s private beach. I said, «Oh you are actually allowed to bring in your own stuff.» He comes back with«Okay well good luck with that.» Wow. Embarrassing for him, especially since he was wrong. There are other hotels and Airbnb’s around with very pleasant and accommodating people. Not sure why this was such a difficult conversation. And by the way SIR, you may drink on the below beaches. Next time do your research before you act like a smartass and tell me you can’t drink on any beaches in California. 1.) Paradise Cove Malibu– Read the FAQ’s 2.) Kehoe Beach 3.) Carmel Beach

Stay away from the gates of hell! Some horrible place & women live there. be forewarned! Gestapo-type manager, who videos you at will, with his angry pitbull to guard him, all 6’5″ of a brute who has his cronies, only a bunch of washed up celebrity kids still thinkin they’re 55 yr old ass brains are adolescent delinquents. Be forewarned – they are haters with one old hag being abusive to dogs(except the managers of course). A month later my dog died! Broken washing machines weekly, no storage,(you must fight for it), tissue paper walls, ceilings, floors – no privacy in a prison type interior court that looks more like a fishbowl than a home. No parking spot for newcomers — try parking on PCH! Threats are common when you’re not in the inner circle. Flooding is common problem. Police were called numerous times because of visitors partying & banging on windows & defacing cars. Shame on them! It’s a Sterling property to boot.
