I was so lucky to get my hair done without an appointment today. Sabrina and Bernard squeezed me in for a deep conditioner and a haircut. My hair has never been this soft and silky. The vibe of the salon is just lovely and I felt at home. Bernard brewed up some of his famous coffee! Yummy.

I should probably begin by saying I’m a bit of a freak about my hair and who I trust to touch it. Having recently moved to a new city I had to begin the search for a new stylist.
After a few bad experiences I reluctantly made an appointment with Hyunsoo Kim at Malibu Beach Salon. Needless to say, in the end was MORE than pleased with the results. Hyunsoo is a true artist and transformed my hair into dead, flat, and hacked (I had put off finding a new stylist for several months now after yet another bad haircut) into a healthy, beautiful work of art. I have never seen a stylist work with such precision and passion. He really knows what he is doing and I am so relieved to have finally found some one who I can trust!
Additionally, the overall experience was what anyone would want in a hair salon. Bernard, the owner, was welcoming, friendly, and accommodating and I was offered a range of snacks as well as a glass of wine. They really go above and beyond. I would give Malibu Beach Salon 6 stars if I could.

I absolutely love it here! I’ve tried multiple salons in Malibu, LA and through the canyon and this place does the best hair. The location in the Lumber Yard is beautiful plus parking is a breeze.
I recommend Darnell for cut and color. He does phenomenal blonde highlights on me as well as a killer blow dry. I have yet to go to any other stylists but they all seem highly professional.
