DiPietro’s Pizza

We order from DiPietro’s at least once a week. The pizza is incredible — whenever we’re eating it we’re amazed by how great it is. The crust is chewy, crunchy, and yeasty. The cheese and sauce is the perfect balance of sweet/​salty/​spicy. It tastes like the really great pizza you remember from your childhood.
We’ve also gotten subs/​salads/​sides, and it’s all been incredibly tasty. The steak and cheese, buffalo chicken sandwich, eggplant parm, eggplant calzone, and grilled chicken sandwich are favorites. The boneless buffalo wings, the mozzarella sticks, and the spinach rice balls are fantastic.
The only downside I’ve experienced is that their peppers on the pizza leave something to be desired — the slices are too big and they pre-​cook them before making the pizza.

Best chicken wings EVA!!! Let’s not forget about the steak tips. Delicious! Its a staple in the Edgeworth neighborhood.

This is a review for the Greek salads, after moving into Malden with my boyfriend we were on the hunt for a great Greek salad place as we always are. This place definitely delivers! We have yet to have a bad order and we’ve used them a dozen times at least. Fresh good veggies, big chargrilled pieces of chicken from their wood oven, perfect amount of feta, and now I think they tweaked their Greek dressing recipe so it’s even BETTER. Creamy delicious! The fresh pita is sooooo good too.
We’ve also had their wings and tried all the flavored, have yet to not like any sauce. Really yummy! They are the greatest, and always deliver in a timely fashion too. :D

Have been ordering here for at least the past 8+ years and never really had an issue with the food until this past weekend. Wont event comment on the Side Orders — Warm Spinache Rice Balls.
Order was 2 fairly simple subs:
#1 — Toasted BLT Sub which we all know comes with the standard toppings, Bacon, lettuce, tomato, Mayonnaise
#2 — Toasted Steak and (Provolone) Cheese Bomb with extra onion. Was contemplating ordering extra condiments, but I thought lets keep this Simple. Simple? Simple! Or so you would think.
The pros: The delivery was quick.
The Cons: BLT was very DRY with no condiments, heavy heavy heavy on the lettuce, no mayo and minimal bacon. Even though the order requested extra Bacon. Basically a salad on bread. No FUN.
The steak and cheese bomb with extra onion — was more onion than anything else. Even the quality of the onion was poor. Every bite had a piece of unbreakable, rubbery onion that had to be pulled out of your mouth or if you were lucky enough, pulled out of the sandwich before each bite. As for the cheese, when it had an option for provolone for an extra 75 Cents, I thought, why not! Little did i know this was going to be in addition to the cheese that was on the sub already! So now I have an Onion and Cheese sub in front of me with minimal steak. So now lets take a bite… Ok — lets try that again, lets take a BITE! unfortunately it seems by toasting the bun, this created some type of unbreakable cloak over the bread that prevented the consumer from actually… consuming. I guess plan B it is, good old trusty fork — for the hand held sub I ordered. smh
In summary, to have spent close to $ 30 on food I could have made at home but didn’t because of convenience turned out to be the opposite. Rather than consuming this meal joyfully, we spent more time picking at what we thought was edible and what was actually edible. So disgusted with this order, I didn’t bother taking pictures. So if it comes down to ordering from here or making a quick run to my local supermarket to splurge on some fine meats and breads, possibly run into an old acquaintance unwillingly, I guess I will be opting for the quick run! Reviews don’t lie… Reviews don’t lie!

Really taste. I ordered a delivery of cheese pizza. I was super hungry and the delivery came right in time. Cheese was good and crust is perfect.

I wouldn’t even give a star if I didn’t HAVE to in order to leave a review. Please please look at my pictures… I want to throw up over the sub they sent me!
The meat is GREEN! It is so spoiled this is completely disgusting.
Ok so here’s the scoop… I’ve been here hundreds of times and never had a negative experience. This WAS our go to place for subs. Ordered around 8pm on a Friday night… had a real long day. While waiting for our order I had to run out. in the meantime my family ate as the food had shown up. 15 min later I come in, it’s a bit dark in the house everyone else went on to other rooms leaving me to eat alone. I eat a half of a half of my «Dipietro Panino» which is prosciutto fresh mozzarella basil. I turn the light on after i quickly eat this quarter and begin to see GREEN meat poking out of my bread so naturally I look further in the sub and after peeling back one layer of fresh meat there it all is! The most disgusting sorry excuse for a sub filling… I wouldn’t feed this to ANY human or animal or even insect!* Layer upon layer of rotted meat .
I don’t care what the excuse is. There is NO WAY possible the maker of this sub couldn’t see that. Also why was it convieniently all under nice fresh pink prosciutto?
Iam angry, and so disappointed that anyone would jeopardize my health and families with food in this condition.
There is NO excuse for this. EVER
I’m just debating on taking it back tomorrow to show them or not. The last thing I want is to hear excuses for why this was sold to me.

Ive been going to this place for over 5yrs… this place use to be awesome… but the quality has gone downhill! They are cheap with the sauce on their wings and but the price keeps rising… go figure?!

I order lunch from here once every 2 weeks or so because it is close to my work. Some of the food makes my stomach hurt after. The service is not good. They always sound like it is a bother to take my order.

Never had a bad meal here. The grilled chicken ceasar salads ($ 10.00) are my favorites and I have them about once a week. Comes with about a pound of grilled chicken, and a homemade pita on the side. You can make a wrap out of this and still have 2 small salads left over.
Also, the only place I’ve ever seen with chicken parm and ravioli combination which is also fantastic. 5 Stars, food wise it couldn’t get any better.

Good food. Enough said. I had Luciano pizza waffle fries. Just too good. For luciano pizza who don’t like tomato base pizza who is 100% goons like it

Ordered Nonna’s Italian Pizza for delivery — They definitely didn’t skim on the toppings, and the ample cheese and mushrooms ended the pizza a great taste and texture. Blew me away. Definitely going to try their other pizzas.

I have been ordering from them for years and years as well as working with a staff of over 35 who order from them multiple times a day… I
Ordered a Greek salad with steak tips on it today for lunch and being a hairdresser was not able to run to it and eat so our front desk signed for it. When I just looked at my receipt I was charge $ 18.05 for literally a Greek salad with steak tips from a sub shop! And that’s without a tip… I called back and was told that steak has gone up and it’s posted in their store, clearly I called for take out and was not told. I asked for them to pick up the salad that was completely untouched and refund me for my $ 18.00 salad and was told that I could keep my salad and not get refunded! This is the worst experience of customer service that I have ever received and I will never be ordering again nor will the 35 fellow employees that were witness to this!
Save yourself some money and order elsewhere because on top of being ridiculously priced they are beyond rude!

Stopped by here again after about a year later.
The $ 2 cheese and pepperoni slices tasted like cardboard and they forgot my spinach rice ball order to go.

Dipietro’s is a standard sub and pizza place. If you are willing to go out of your way, I think there are better places in Boston.

RUDE and terrible experience! Disappointed! Never go back there!

Best pizza in Malden hands down. 2 dollar slices and rice balls are always great for an inexpensive lunch. My favorites are the wraps and salads. Grilled chicken Caesar on sun dried tomato wrap is outstanding & teriyaki chicken salad is always prepared w/​fresh produce. All salads come w/​home made pita and the dressings are really good.
Brian & Tom always give solid service w/​a friendly attitude and smile. Their restaurant is clean and plenty of parking is available. Give this place a try, explore the menu and I’m sure you’ll agree!

This is our spot. Arguably the tastiest, most reliable delivery place I’ve ordered from (and trust me, I’ve lived in a bunch of areas and am no stranger to delivery). I have not been let down in the dozen+ times we have ordered DiPietros since we moved here in 2012.
The pizza is so solid, with fresh toppings, great sauce and warm crust. The subs are also great. However, my weakness is the salads. My personal favorite is the Greek salad with chicken — ridiculously good. It is a Feta-lover’s dream. The antipasto is great, too.
9 times out of 10 the service is incredibly friendly. Every once in a while there is a grumpy guy who takes your order and tries to rush you off the phone, but it’s worth it for the food. They deliver quickly and the delivery people are ALWAYS very nice.
I’m telling you, this place is well above average.

Dipietros has the best salads around! They are huge portions and the pita bread is delicious. I highly recommend the lite vinaigrette. I have ordered the pizza party catering package a couple times for work meetings and it has been a big success. Pizza is great and comes their delicious salad and pita bread. Wings and ranch wedges are good too!

Can we just say thank you for specifying there is pepperoni on your steak-​bombs! A lot of places don’t seem to find that important.
Out of the three subs we got, (Big Tom, Buffalo Chicken Sub, Chicken Kabomb) all three were absolutely delicious!

Love DiPietro’s! The staff there is always friendly and provides great customer service.
Every time I have DiPietro’s. I have to get a rice ball. I used to always get the meat one but most recently had the spinach and cheese instead. Sooooo good!
Wings are awesome. They have so many different flavors. Gigantic portions! On the menu it tells you how many it comes with and we ordered too much by accident. I guess when they count the wings, they mean a full one instead of one wing, one drumstick. ya know?
And of course the bread with the salad is always a bonus.
