Comcast Service Center

I’d rather watch my parents dry hump while someone yanked all my teeth out with a pair of rusty pliers than to deal with Comcast customer service. They are so inept. My cable/​internet service kept going out at the same time, over and over again. Someone from Comcast came out and said there was nothing wrong. Everything seemed ok for a few weeks. The same problem kept happening. They sent someone out and they did something to the wires outside. They said I needed an modem upgrade because the one I had was very old. I was told that there would be no charge for this. In additional, i was told I would get a $ 50.00 credit on my account and free HBO for three months because of all the aggravation and disrupted cable/​internet service. Welll… I got my bill today and the amount is MORE than my usual monthly amount. There was a charge for a third cable box that I don’t even have, plus an additional $ 50.00 charge for them to come out and pretend to fix my internet and cable. The inept, uncaring person on the other end of the phone was useless. We were on the phone for 30 minutes. I asked for a supervisor six times but he refused. He said there was nothing a manager could do. I finally gave up and asked if a supervisor could call me back. The «service’ representative told me a manager would call me back within 30 minutes. That was two hours ago. I called back a little while ago after not receiving the promised return call from a manager. I was told that the customer service rep that I was on the phone with earlier this afternoon never even opened a ticket or put notes in my account for a manager to call me! I can’t take dealing with Comcast anymore and am researching other internet/​cable providers right now. If you value your sanity and your blood pressure you will stay away from Comcast.

I had subscribed to xfinity 30 days pass, and it never worked. I can not even browse any webpage smoothly, and it just stuck all the time, not even talk about Video streaming. It‘s a complete nightmare.
Also, I got error messages all the time as well. Called their customer service many times, got hanged up for three times with their ridiculously unfriendly customer service representative. Now I don‘t ever know have a way to quite their service. What a shame to Comcast, world‘s worst company ever in history.
Btw, if I could choose not star, it could be more reasonable.

I went to the Malden Service Center this morning to request a replacement remote for my existing cable box. The representative there started pushing their newer XFinity X1 service, and repeatedly represented to me that there would be no changes to my billing if I accepted the new service. I asked him 3 separate times to confirm there would be no additional charges. A few hours later, I received an email from Comcast confirming the change in service, and stating that my bill would increase by $ 22 per month. As a result of his unfair and deceptive actions, I now either have to wait a week and then sit around for a 2 hour service window for someone to come pick up the equipment, or I have to drive back over to Malden to return the equipment I never wanted and get the remote I wanted in the first place.

This is the most unhelpful, most frustrating and most ridiculous service ive ever had the displeasure of using. They had technicians just show up to our doorsteps without a scheduled visit and without notifying us. This was during our month wait to get the service installed and in all that we still decided it wasn’t worth the hassle to find a new provider. The crappy service doesn’t even work in a small apartment.

I’m not sure if I should write this comment here or basically for the Comcast company.
I moved to Malden two weeks ago. Trying to transfer my service to my new apartment for about 15 days now.
The telephones are answered by automatic machines which just throws you in a loop of options and never get an answer!
the online chats are the same and they dont give any specific answer.
I wouldnt mind that if they were not billing me! I now have 51.27 $ on my balance to pay for the internet that I didnt have past two weeks! Seriously one of the most frustrating services I dealt with.
I definitely would switch to another service if I had an alternative.

long lines, staff that don’t seem happy to serve you, ridiculous prices for TV service… I’ve found another provider

I recently moved to Malden and had no choice but Comcast for cable, so my room-​mate and I took one of their internet/​phone/​cable packages. We’ve had nothing but grief ever since. They didn’t bother to hook up the TV when they installed the phone/​internet, and made us pay an extra installation charge to come back and hook it up.
Every month they make mistakes on the bill, and I’ve spent a lot of time on the phone trying to fix that.
A few weeks ago on a Monday we found we had no internet service. We called, they tried some stuff over the phone, then they said they would send out a repairman. He was supposed to come Tuesday afternoon. They said we had to have an adult present, so my roommate was here to let them in, but they didn’t tell us they would call first. Since she never uses the landline, she didn’t answer when they called. When I got home and called them, they promised several more times to send someone out, but no one actually turned up till the next day. Then it turned out the problem was a minor software problem (the network connection had been disabled, due to an electrical storm the night before). They could have handled this over the phone, but instead we were without internet service for two days. Then they tried to charge us $ 25 for the repairman!
Yesterday was the worst. Since my room-​mate lived here before I moved in, the account is in her name, and her name shows up on caller ID. I wanted to change that so my name would show. They told me I would have to go to their local service office with t wo forms of ID. When I got there the woman absolutely insisted it was impossible to make the change, and also insisted that my name wasn’t on the account, even though it had been added 3 months ago. Finally after arguing for 10 minutes I took her name and told her I would report her, so then she called someone, and made the change after another 10 minutes on the phone. BTW, she never asked for any ID – I guess anyone with 20 minutes to waste could put their name on the Caller ID.
