WIld Thyme Gourmet-To-Go

Wild Thyme Café and Bakery is Now Wild Thyme Gourmet-​To-​Go! After the Café closed, the owner had lots of people on her Facebook site begging her to reopen. I have to admit I was one of them. Now they are back. There are still places to sit inside, but the focus is really more carryout I think. A few things I hope they improve on so that they hopefully stay open this time:
1. The cashier was probably new, because I had to keep slowing down and repeating what I wanted while she looked for the items on the menu… it was painfully slow to order.
2. The seating is kind of awkward-​a long table placed diagonally took up a lot of room. I think a couple smaller tables would have been better. You could push together for a big group, but if you have small groups you run out of separate eating areas too quickly.
3. If the focus is carryout, I hope they get faster! I ordered a sandwich (they built and toasted it) and a chicken rueben casserole (delicious, but premade so they just had to put a serving in a container). Both had sides that came out of the deli case-​premade. There was one other pair of diners in there besides me and my carryout order. But it still took me around 10 minutes to get my order. What was going on in the back that took so long?
4. There were more people in the back than in the actual front of the place. People (employees or friends or family?) kept walking in and going to the back and chatting with the owner or cook or whoever was back there. Kind of annoying and I felt (whether true or not) that this might have added to my wait time.
5. The place closes at 5:30 pm on M-​F, and closes at 3 on Saturday. Closed on Sundays. You really have to plan when to show up if you want to eat!
I am truly glad this place is back, though. Since I live just a few blocks away I might start calling in my orders to speed up the wait time. The food is great, now just a little work on the service end would be appreciated. This place still is dedicated to many vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options. Check it out, it’s pretty tasty!
