Owned and operated by Cake Designer Sarah Rifke, our cake boutique specializes in creating amazing personalized cakes that are guaranteed to make your special event a uniquely memorable experience. From beautiful decorated tiered wedding cakes to 3-​dimentional themed birthday cakes, each order is carefully designed and created to meet your individual needs.

At Sweeter than the Rest, our custom cakes are made from scratch using only the finest ingredients. Our delicious butter cream icings are made «Italian style» with fresh high quality dairy products. We fill our cakes with delicious ganache and mousse fillings made from only the finest ingredients. No bucket fillings, preservatives or artificial flavorings mean our cakes are not too sweet. In short, our cakes are delicious!

We love Sarah she truly is sweeter than the rest! Her cakes are to die for, fresh truly homemade cakes and fillings. Not many bakers are doing that due to production. Quality is on point and so is her service, I would definitely recommend Sarah for all of your baked goods :-)

Sweeter than the Rest is the BEST!
I have had the opportunity to have 2 cakes from this bakery and they were both delicious.
For my son’s 2nd birthday I purchased a Groupon deal. Through communicating with Sarah she knew exactly what I wanted. She was very easy to communicate with and stayed in contact as needed. The day of picked we went to her bakery and it was in a new building in Maitland. The bakery was so clean and new. She had displays of cakes that she has done so that was nice to look at while waiting a moment for the cake to come out of the fridge.
The cake was alot bigger than I anticipated which made me super happy. (I don’t know much about cake sizes… so probably others would know) The cake was heavy too, so that you are absolutely getting what you paid for.
The day of my sons birthday party I received so many compliments on just the design alone… then when we cut into it all you could hear was everyone saying how good it was. The filling was cookies n cream (a favorite for child cakes) I think because there was so much blue in the frosting, it made it taste a bit like blueberry, which made it even more unique and everyone fell in love with it.
As for the 2nd experience… my friends and I went to a cake decorating class at the bakery. This was sooo much fun! It was $ 50.00 a person and you filled out a form that included what kind of cake and filling you wanted. You also selected the colors of fondant for your cake. The day of class when we arrived each spot had a box with your supplies, the fondant roll and you picked out which apron you wanted to use. The aprons were so adorable! Once everyone arrived, the cakes were brought out and Sarah gave the instructions on how to roll out the fondant over the cake… and tips how what to do. She also let us use all the supplies around the bakery (spray paint machine, beads, stencils, paint, etc.) Everyone absolutely loved their cakes! And everyone enjoyed them even more over the next couple of days when we got to eat it. So yummy!
