History

Established in 1978.

The first Snappy Tomato Pizza was opened by Robert Rotunda in Fort Mitchell, KY in 1978. Rotunda went to a horse race and put all of his money on a horse named «Snappy Tomato.» The horse won and Rotunda took all of his winnings and opened the first Snappy Tomato Pizza restaurant. In 1981 the company began franchising. In 1993, Snappy Tomato Pizza was purchased by entrepreneur Charles H. Deters and has grown to over 60 locations nationwide.

Daniel H.

Manager

Daniel began his career with Snappy Tomato Pizza in Burlington, KY as a delivery driver and worked his way up to assistant manager of the Burlington, KY location. When Snappy Tomato Pizza decided to open in Maineville, Daniel rose to the occasion and has been the general manager since day one. We’re proud to have him as a member of Team Snappy and the leader of our Maineville location!

We have only ordered once, but when we did it was great just what you’d expect, I did pick up and it was just coming out of the oven on time when I got there. Staff was quick and friend.
Food wasn’t greasy at all and had plenty of taste!

I’ve ordered from there 3 times and each time my pizzas came prompt and hot. The sauce isn’t too spicy, if you like it that way, and the cheese is really good!

I ordered a 3 topping Large pizza at midnight to take home and eat. Overall it was a pleasant experience. Customer service was great at taking the order on the phone. The coupon was accepted with no problem. When I arrived, the location was clean and the line short. I paid with credit card and received the pizza with no problems. The pizza consist of pepperoni, mushroom, bacon and extra cheese. There was a cup of garlic dipping sauce. The temperature was hot and steamy. The taste of the pizza was good. I enjoyed the pizza that night. The kicker came when I had the left overs for breakfast! When I reheated the pizza in the microwave it came out delicious! The cheese was super melted and aah inspiring! The mushrooms danced off the pizza into my mouth. The pizza sauce was eye opening! I mentioned to my wife, that other pizza company’s pizza taste horrible the next day but Snappy Tomato pizza taste good and stays great reheated if you don’t finish it in one sitting.

Inconsistent — We tried it shortly after they opened and were pretty pleased overall so we had it again tonight. I’m not sure what happened over the course of a couple weeks but the food quality has gone downhill. The wings were greasy, the cheese bread was tough and chewy, and the pizza was bland. Im not sure if they are still working out some kinks but we won’t try it again.

This is a 4 – 5. 5 star because who gives a 1 star because the Internet service wasn’t working. Heard of snappy for many years but never tried. I’ve been here twice. Friendly service both times. Original crust is pretty good. Trying the thin tonight. Ordering the wings extra baked as they were a little soggy regular for my taste last time. Philly hoagie was ok. Wouldn’t order again though but heck you come to a pizza place for the pizza right. Also trying the wedges tonight. Will let you know!
