If you ride, fly, float and /​or sit in/​on it, we can restore it. Don’t throw it out, recycle it. The cheapest furniture bought 15 – 20 years ago is made better than the best furniture made today.

Started as a hobby and grew into a business employing some of the finest craftsman in the field. We are a full service shop who’s expert’s have the skills to restore the finest furniture to it’s original beauty.

I began in the late 1960’s crafting garments, purses and belts to fund my college education. From this experience not only did I refine my sewing skills, but I gained the expertise to select and dye all types of leather. Next came designing and reupholstering custom van furniture. While doing this, I was learning old world techniques of furniture restoration from a 3^rd generation upholster. This craftsman had been trained by his father and grandfather, both originally from Germany. Eventually I was getting calls from my furniture customers asking to look at their auto, boat and RV seating and other upholstery problems. That’s the short version of how Sunset Upholstery became a full service shop offering old world craftsmanship and quality service for your auto, boat, home and business.
