Studio Jewelers also offers a number of high-quality American bridal lines, including Jabel, Goldman/Diana, and Lashbrook. In addition to finished jewelry, Studio Jewelers sells diamonds, colored gems and pearls. Expert repair, restringing and appraisal services are also offered. Professional affiliations include American Gem Trade Association, Wisconsin Jewelers Association, and Jewelers of America.
Meet the Business Owner
Hanna C.
Business Owner
Studio Jewelers owner Hanna Cook-Wallace is a designer, goldsmith, gemologist and appraiser. A lifelong interest in minerals and gems led to formal gemological training through the Gemological Institute of America and then the Educational Gemstone Center Hattgenstein in Germany, where she received her certificate in gemology and appraising. Gem opal is her gemological specialty, an interest that has taken her to every opal mining area in Australia. She maintains a gemological laboratory, and consulted with the UW-Madison Geology Department in the development of an on-line gemology class, Gems and Gem Materials. Cook-Wallace is currently on the board of the Wisconsin Jewelers Association and has several times judged their state-wide jewelry design competition. She has also juried the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art’s Art Fair on the Square. She has served on a number of non-profit boards in the Madison community and has a keen interest in music in education.
