History

Established in 2009.

In the late 19th century, the Prospect Tavern housed a coal company, part of the bustling railroad industry located just yards away. Today the 1880s building comfortably seats 50 patrons in the dining room, while the 60-foot bar and outdoor dining area and patio, make the tavern the perferred place for a romantic dinner or to enjoy the perfect pint. The interior of the tavern boasts a back-wall, stone fireplace where diners can enjoy the comfort of a warm fire in the winter months. In warmer weather, our customers dine al fresco on the outdoor patio that seats 20 guests overlooking Main Street in Madison. Large vaulted ceilings, and magnificent Pennsylvania Bluestone floors give the atmosphere at Prospect Tavern a warm and rustic feel.
