History

Established in 1944.

In 1944, Kristoffer and Lucille Nedrebo began as tailors in a small shop in Madison, Wisconsin. Four years later they opened a store on State Street in order to be closer to the University of Wisconsin campus. Within a few short years they had a thriving business renting tuxedos for fraternity parties. Today, two owners later, Nedrebo’s, is part of Savvi Formalwear, a cooperative made up of the North America’s finest formalwear specialists. Today, this three-​generation, family-​owned business prides itself on providing hassle-​free, quality men’s attire, perfect for any of life’s celebrations.

Business Owner

Mark has been a part of the men’s formalwear industry since 1972. Purchasing the 4-​store operation in 1988. Today, Mark serves as President of both Savvi Formalwear of Minnesota and Nedrebo’s Formalwear in Wisconsin; operating a total of 16 retail location and over 500 wholesale affiliates in thirty-​two states.
