Midtown Furniture Superstore and Mattress Center is a local, family owned and operated furniture store. We have been in business since 1977. We offer 60,000 square feet of beautiful furniture from a lot of popular brands. We believe in supporting our local community. Many of our manufacturers produce items in North Carolina. If you do not see what you desire in stock we are more than happy to assist you with a special order.

We offer financing on any purchase. We always offer 12 months no interest financing if paid in full within the promotion period. At times, we are able to offer up to 5 years no interest financing. We also accept cash, check, Visa, Master Card, and American Express. If you have bad credit, that is no problem. We offer no credit check financing with our free extended layaway program.

We have a non-​commissioned sales staff that is excited to assist you with any size purchase. Our sales people are professionals, averaging over 15 years with us.

Delivery is available for a modest fee. Our delivery service includes removing your old items and placing your new furniture where you want it. We will haul off your old items. We will load your vehicle for free if you do not need delivery.

History

Established in 1977.

We opened in 1977 as a small paint store. As time went by we added wallpaper, blinds, and floor coverings. We moved into our current building in 1983. In 1987 we added furniture to our product mix. Over the next decade we had lots of growth in furniture. Due to this growth we decided to stop offering paint then wallpaper and then blinds. Once we finished our third addition, in 2005, we completely removed floor coverings from our product mix. We are now only a furniture store. We offer many major brands of furniture. We carry multiple brands of bedding. We have learned many things over the years. The most important thing we have learned is customer service. We pride ourselves in taking care of our customers’ needs. We also have non-​commissioned sales staff. We offer many financing options, along with free extended layaway. We look forward to earning your business.

I grew up in this retail business. I started out at the age of 7 stocking shelves, dusting, and cleaning. As time progressed I learned to install foorcoverings. In my mid 20’s I left Midtown to open my own floorcoverings installation company. After a few years I returned to Midtown to be the warehouse manager. I slowly transitioned to head buyer and vice president. In 2004 my father died leaving behind a large void to fill. I stepped up as president and took control of the business. I still run the business on the foundation that was built. I still keep customer service as my main priority. I am married to my high school sweetheart. We are still best friends. We have two lovely children. Stop by sometime, I would love to meet you. I have met some strange folks over the years, but I have never met a stranger. I just like to have fun, life is too short…
