Hibachi’s

Came here a lot and it was okay-​general buffet food-​but gave two stars because the last time I went everyone got sick with tragic avalanche diarrhea and ruined our vacation. We left the next morning for the beach and everyone had by to stop every five minutes due to stomach illness. One person even got the flu – which isn’t really Hibachi’s fault but the food poisoning was. We all ate very different things and everyone still got sick. 5 days on the toilet instead of being on the beach was what this place cost us, so yeah I won’t be going back or recommending it to anyone, but like I said: I’ve gone many times and came out fine, but the one time I bring my family we got poisoned so forget it. Be careful-​and don’t eat the oysters for sure.
The wait staff are wonderful though, no complaints there.

Finally! A hibachi restaurant with great food and great service! Lots of choices for even the pickiest of eaters. Plus table side entertainment if you’re lucky enough to get Robbie as your server. She is a 4’9″ bundle of friendliness. Lunch for two was $ 17.00 so definitely worth a visit.

Decent Chinese food but not impressed with the sushi… the sushi is put out in such large quantities for each type of roll, that it takes forever for the turnover such that a new, fresh roll is created. Koi, in Hermitage, is much better for sushi. I did not try the Hibachi part of this restaurant, although there was a pretty long line for it, and it looked like there were quite a few options to put in your hibachi order. I will say that there were quite a few non-​Chinese things particularly if there is someone in your party that might not care for Chinese, sushi, or hibachi.

Uhh don’t try the pizza. Or the oysters. But nice selection and random assortments of food if you just want to go crazy.

This is my favorite buffet in the world!
The selection is huge! I highly recommend the hibachi– they are very nice and do a superb job on everything. The white sauce is my favorite.
Nothing else is of very exceptional quality, but you can’t expect TOO much if you’re going to a buffet. This place is wonderful because of their selection, the ambiance (they play great music in here!), and the location. It’s in a little strip mall off Gallatin and there’s always plenty of parking.
For dessert, check out the chocolate fountain, ice cream freezer, and little pink things. Not sure what they’re called or what exactly they are, but they’re delicious.

So visiting Nashville, took a stab at finding decent buffet chinese anywhere, much less Music City. This place earns its 4 stars, for a great selection of food of different ethnicities. I stuck with asian type fare. The nice thing is there was actually food with spice and flavor! General Tsos was good, had Egg Fou Yong on buffet (which is rare) and it was good also. Jalapeño Chicken was yummy and had just a little kick. Pot Stickers, Rice and Lo Mein fine also. Desserts normal, Chinese donuts great. My compadres had good reviews also, for the Fried Corn, Fried Oysters, Corn-​on-​the-​cob and Roast Beef. Priced right and optional crab leg portion for another 6 bucks per pound (no takers in my party). Staff and service friendly and helpful.

We stopped in town to see friends, and they chose Hibachis as our meeting place. I was very impressed with the buffet selection they had to offer, and the sushi was wonderful. We ate there shortly after they opened, around 11:30. I am slightly concerned about the sushi and how it would hold up for any amount of time not being kept cold. It was just on plates sitting on the counter. I know it was fresh because I watched the man make it, but what would happen 3 or 4 hours later? Does it just sit on that plate all day at room temperature? Having been food poisoned by sushi before, this scares me. The staff was extreme friendly and helpful! Overall a great place to meet family!

I used to come here for the tuna and samen. However the past three times I ate here the sushi guy either didn’t refill the items or replaced it with old rice and the most pathetic cuts.

This place is def the better of two Asian buffets on this side of town. It is what is. Maybe great for a bro-​date. Japanese name, and yes the have some (barely) adequate sushi. 9 out 10 of the rolls are some variation of «Krab» leg. But what do you expect for $ 11.
Some days they will fill empty slots in the buffet line with random items like Cheetos.
They have a weird idea of variety. I like the crispy fried frog leg, but wonder about the little pigs in a blanket.
The hibachi grill is usually busy. But not a bad way to serve made-​to-​order stir fry.
Maybe 30% of the hot items are north ‘merican ish. Meatloaf, ham, chicken wings, mac and oily separated semi cheese, some horribly over cooked side of salmon, canned green bean, or corn on the cob, with some grilled sausage.
I have seen better salad bars in a 1987 pizza inn.
Deserts are horderves sized thaw and naw sheet cakes and serve your self ice cream. Don’t forget the chocolate fountain complete with marshmallows and gram crackers.
Oh yeah, free wifi.

It is a buffet, so it doesn’t get 5 stars. However for a buffet it is pretty good. The food does not seem to stay out as long here as at other buffets and there is something for everybody even those that prefer «American» food. Good dessert bar but I would have to shy away from the open chocolate fountain.

Not worth the extra $ 3 you will pay for this place. I came expecting fancier sushi than the other Chinese/​Asian buffets, but the sushi is the same. The selection is the same. The egg drop soup was too hot. And the host to seat me was nonexistent. Never again by choice.

My kid loved this place but the last few times we went the chocolate fountain has been taken out. Its way way to high for what it is. I would rather just find a cheaper chinese/​Japanese buffet to be honest. We don’t eat sushi, the dessert bar isn’t that great. She actually just goes straight to the ice cream. Personally i wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

I don’t care what anybody says, I like this place a lot.
A pound of crab legs for $ 5 and a giant chocolate fountain.
I couldn’t ask for a whole lot more than that.
Reasonable prices and nice, clean restaurant with a big variety to choose from on the buffet.
Also has sushi here.
Friendly staff and every time I’m here my waitress keep my drink full.
Which is all you really do when you are wait staff at a buffet, but man, they’re good at filling up drinks. Probably the best in the entire state. Maybe even the southeast.
Anyway, I like coming here and hope they keep up the good work. 5 stars from me.

Better managed and cleaner than the typical Chinese buffet. Pleasant temperature, clean tables, well lit. Staff are all polite and friendly, also above average. However, I thought the food was mediocre. Whether it was the sushi, the miso soup, General Tsao chicken. it was all just okay. The high point of the visit is the Hibachi grill. You can get your money’s worth there.

There are reasons that it’s only middle of the road for me. For my food choices (vegetarian, bordering on vegan), it’s probably somewhat up there.
First the good. .Great selection of rice wraps, including a vegetarian option (watch for the avocado in the middle). I only had one, because I don’t do heavy doses of white rice, unless it’s basamati. I always take a dive into their kimchi and stringed seaweed. In the cooked section, I take a portion of mushrooms.
There isn’t a big selection for me, considering the healthy food choices I have chosen for myself.
Since this place is located in Tennessee, you would expect to have a number of options where the food is fried beyond recognition. Everything in these sections are breaded, and greased up. I don’t do any of that.
However.
Their stir fry prep area, I question a few things. I don’t think the person there understands proper cooking techniques… I know as a vegetarian, I would expect them to use different utensils for the meat options and ones that only request vegetables. That did not happen. Also, the amount of butter that is used is shocking. It’s like anywhere from an ¹⁄₈ to a ¼ wedge. After ingesting that stir fry, I had some issues with my throat because I hadn’t eaten dairy in over 6 months. it’s not really good for you anyway. In the past, I have considered bringing my own selection of oil for them to cook with. I might contact the manager of that location and see what their take is on that.
So, this is why I won’t give it anything more than 3 stars.
I know there are other, healthier options, and I might pursue those next time I’m in Nashville (few months from now)
At least I’ll suggest some to my friend next time.

This place is awesome! It has something for everyone. It’s buffet style. I’ve never seen such variety in a Japanese restaurant. It’s a perfect place to take someone who doesn’t like sushi; or one who does. They even have an elaborate dessert bar. It’s nice aesthetically as well. Service is great! I ate here on my lunch break to try it. I will be brining my family to this place.

For a buffet it was really great. I went for the sushi only. Seaweed salad tasted as good as any other I’ve ever had and I enjoyed most of my sushi. The tempura was a little chewy. Overall I was very pleased with the selection and price. My family of 4 enjoyed our meal for $ 29. We will go back.

I’ve been to a bunch of different asian buffets. I must say that my experience at Hibachi’s didn’t stand out.
They have a lot of different dishes to choose from, but most were lacking any real flavor. The sushi there sucks, so does the the selection of sushi to choose from.
The best part of my dining experience there was the desserts and the beer.

average buffet maybe a little better. if your hungry and want to grub its better than 88 kitchen. get the hibachi grill items. u can choose what u want and its much better.

Hibachi’s just opened up just a few weeks ago. I’ve been wanting to try it, just hadn’t had the time too. My girlfriend and I went tonight for their dinner buffet. We enjoyed it, it’s just like another Japanese restaurant but it has a huge buffet, it has about 7 tables, you have your regular buffet tables, then your sushi bar, and then your hibachi bar as well. Before you leave you gotta try the chocolate fountain. Good stuff.
