At Healthy Pet Veterinary Clinic, we take great pride in having provided excellent pet care since 2001 on Madison’s East Side. Education is our primary goal at Healthy Pet Veterinary Clinic. We believe that a pet owner that is well informed and working together with their veterinarian will ultimately make the best decisions about their pet’s health care and we pride ourselves on creating individualized care for every pet. Our professional staff is friendly, knowledgeable and dedicated to providing the highest quality care possible for our clients and their pets.

In addition to dogs and cats, our staff is specially trained in the care and specific needs of small mammals such as rabbits, guinea pigs and ferrets. Meet the Business Owner

Dr. Carla C.

Business Owner

Dr. Christman is a 1996 graduate of the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine and is the owner of Healthy Pet Veterinary Clinic. While she started her veterinary career at a large animal practice where she took care of horses and all types of farm animals, Dr. Christman opened the doors at Healthy Pet Veterinary Clinic in 2001 and hasn’t looked back since. Carla loves Madison with it’s eclectic people and never ending list of things to do.

Dr. Christman works closely with several animal rescue groups and greatly enjoys being able to help animals in need. At home you would often find Dr. Christman out in her garden or just being outside enjoying a warm summer day. Exercise and Doctor Who are some of her two greatest passions. She also shares her home with a very large and varied group of critters: a rescued greyhound named Jasper, a young and crazy boxer named Cassidy, her 4 cats — Zeke, Fluffy, George, and Willie; CeCe the ferret, and Pig the best bunny in the world.
