History

Established in 2013.

Eric Powers, the owner of EV Powers, has owned and worked on hybrid cars for nearly 10 years, starting with his Honda Insight in 2003.

He quickly discovered that hybrid cars and hybrid owners have special needs that are not always well-​served at a typical garage.

In 2013, Eric opened EV Powers Hybrid Battery Service and Repair as Madison’s first business focused solely on hybrid owners and the health and repair of their hybrids; specifically the hybrid battery.

EV Powers guides owners through the available options when faced with a failing hybrid battery. Battery installations and battery preventive maintenance is done at EV Powers’ service center on Madison’s East side.

Business Owner

Eric has owned and worked on hybrid cars for nearly 10 years, starting with his Honda Insight in 2003.

He is an active member of the green transportation community around Madison. In addition to being president of the Wisconsin Electric Vehicle Association, he continues to head up the Madison Hybrid Group which he formed back in 2004 to encourage camaraderie among hybrid owners.

For seven years and 10 successful shows, (2006 – 2013) Eric was the mastermind behind Hybridfest/​Green Drive Expo, an annual consumer expo event that educated tens of thousands of people in Wisconsin and California about green transportation options.

Eric has been married for over 20 years and has lived in Southern Wisconsin most of his life.

Eric understands hybrid owners needs and has the expertise when it comes to hybrid cars.
