History

Established in 2013.

Don started Covert Customs in April of 2013 with the purpose of helping other car enthusiasts build and tune their own unique rides. To accomplish this purpose, Don worked to become a distributor of some great Audi/​VW and Porsche brands. Covert Customs is currently a Distributor for APR Motorsports, 034 Motorsports, JH Motorsports, Forge, H&S Performance and a reseller of Dipy​our​car​.com to cover the plasti dip automotive coatings.

We are always looking into carrying other great products and Covert Customs is currently in discussions with other respected automotive performance companies.

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

Don spent most of the past 25 years as a Mechanical Designer for a couple of Government contractors. This is where he came to love and appreciate the military look of flat (not shiny) paint jobs as you will see on most Covert Customs cars. While working in the government sector, Don built custom cars as a hobby and developed a great passion for both automotive performance and custom appearance. Originating with a custom 1967 VW Bug in his high school days, Don spent years building American Muscle cars and eventually ended up going back to VW with a radical a 2003 Jetta 1.8T build. The 400 whp Jetta on air ride suspension was featured in PerformanceVW magazine in ²⁄₂₀₁₁ and was the Feature car in Eurotuner in ³⁄₂₀₁₁.
