Community Garage of Madison, Tennessee has been family owned since March 1999. We are a faith based company that strives for excellence. Our automotive repair and maintenance services include lube and oil, tire balancing, air conditioning, engines, tune up, brakes, tires, transmission, suspension, safety checks, emissions failures, service engine lights, electrical systems, power steering and more!

Brian is Master certified in Engine Repair, Automatic Trans/​Trans Axles, Manual Drive Train and Axles, Suspension and Steering, Brakes, Electrical/​Electronic Systems, Heating and Air Conditioning and engine Performance, he also specializes in Corvettes.

These guys are great! They were recommended to me by a friend who uses them and I couldn’t be happier. They are all extremely nice and helpful! They are honest and very dependable. Forget the over priced dealerships that make up fake issues and take all your vehicles here!

On our way moving to Tennessee from Texas, our check engine light came on. We had our Toyota sienna serviced at the dealership in Texas, so we took it to the local Toyota dealership here. They told us we needed to replace three catalytic converters, for a cost of over 3k. I decided to get a second opinion and found Community Garage via Unilocal.The reviews were good, so we made an appointment for later in the week.
After examining the van, the technician came out with a diagram of my car’s ‘innards’ to show me where the problem was. Turns out only one cc needed replacing, for a total cost of $ 700. I brought it in two days later (they needed to get the parts) and they fixed it within two hours.
Everyone I talked to there was very polite and friendly, and I got a very honest vibe from them. I will definitely be using them again!

Community Garage has been a God send to me. My husband had to go out of town for several months and so that is when our car decides to freak out. I got on Unilocal to find somewhere that wouldn’t take advantage of me as a woman who knows nothing about cars. Community Garage is super friendly, super nice and super patient. I’ve had to take my car in 3 times and each time the price has been less than I anticipated having been taken advantage of by major car repair chains before. I highly recommend Community Garage as a business full of integrity and knowledge.

After recently relocating to the area, we needed some basic maintenance on our VW Jetta. I picked Community Garage based on Unilocal reviews & we were thrilled with our experience.
My initial phone call was to request prices & ask questions… How wonderful to talk to someone who was knowledgeable & polite!
I called back to schedule an appointment… ANOTHER wonderfully polite person answered the phone & I was thrilled that they were able to fit us in the next day (& set it up as a ‘wait for your vehicle’ appointment).
My husband took the car in & was very impressed. He said that the staff was great, the work was done properly, & no ‘surprise’ costs popped up!
We will definitely be using Community Garage again (& referring them to all of our friends!)

I am 36 and grew up in Madison. I hesitate to tell the world about Community Garage because I do not want it to be too crowded when I take my car in next time. But this place is too good not to share.
While growing up, my family always took our cars to Community Garage and that has continued throughout my adult life. We have always been 100% satisfied — never a problem, ever. This is a very honest garage that is known throughout the longtime Madison community for its ethics and integrity. All garages should aspire to be like this one.
I can recall more than once when Brian and his men diagnosed our problems with answers and advice that did not benefit the garage’s bottom line. The garage is always straight, and there is never a push to have more work done. I believe Brian truly loves his customers and that shows in the way he treats them. You are never disrespected or made to feel inferior because you do not understand or do not know something. You are not taken advantage of here. You are always told the truth. The repairs are always performed quickly. Our problems have always been diagnosed and fixed correctly. There has never been a mysterious new problem happen days after taking a car in for repair.
I cannot imagine ever having a problem at this garage. It just seems impossible to me. This is the best garage. I will never go to another as long as I am able, and as long as Community Garage maintains its ethical business practices.

As a woman, going into a car repair shop can be intimidating. Most women don’t know the first thing about cars and most auto shops know that! I’ve made it a point to learn things, but it still helps to find some place where you know they won’t take advantage of your lack of knowledge.
I have used Community Garage of Madison for years and I have never been unhappy with my service or treatment there. They do their best to fit you in as soon as possible, and they are very flexible with your schedule. They open at 7am which is really nice for getting service done before work, or close to it. I’ve taken my car here for general tune-​ups, oil changes, brake work, etc. If they don’t offer a certain service, they will give you a reliable referral someplace nearby that does (i.e. transmission replacements, repair).
The owners are very down-​to-​earth and the office staff is friendly and helpful. They don’t charge you more than the job is worth and they do a quality job. I highly recommend taking your car to a place like Community Garage of Madison!
