Child Development Inc. is a state licensed preschool center that offers a creative preschool experience as well as child care services in Madison, WI.

From infancy to Pre-​Kindergarten, at CDI, your child will engage in exciting learning activities specifically designed to meet their developmental needs and help them advance to the next level.

We follow the Wisconsin Early Childhood Learning Standards and the principles of the Creative Curriculum approach. Our teachers emphasize language development, fine and gross motor skills, critical thinking, as well as social and emotional development.

At CDI, children learn through active engagement of their environment, as well as positive and productive interactions with peers and adults that promote mutual respect and understanding. We strive to nurture creativity and curiosity, as well as confidence and independence. Most importantly, we hope to foster a love and excitement for learning in all of our children.

History

Established in 1965.

Founded in 1965 by a group of concerned Wisconsin citizens, Child Development Inc. is a nonprofit public-​private partnership with a mission to provide affordable, high quality child care to families with young children of varying backgrounds.
