Smugglers Cove Adventure Golf

Probably the most fun and adventurous mini golf course we’ve been on! I loved the pirate themes and the different levels this course provides. It was truly an experience and if we had more time, I’m sure my fiancé and I would have gone one more round. Took us about an hour or so to finish the course, but it was empty when we went so we took our time. Loved this experience and would definitely recommend it!

Great thing to do on a rare cloudy day in Florida. We are 30 somethings and had a blast here. Gators weren’t too hungry that day, I guess due to the cold, but on a hot day if you buy some treats you can feed them with a pole. They’re adorable little babies– wish I could take one home.

Amazing. The course is spotless and every hole is professionally designed and built. Great use of the space they have. They also have live gators you can feed for just a few extra bucks. Funny advice in poem form at the start of every hole. Admittedly expensive but given the superb quality of the course is well worth it. They also have snacks which are actually at a pretty low price. The staff are friendly, helpful and honest – even gave us some coupons for one of their other places. Also if you play more than one round it averages out to a medium-​low price, so that’s nice. Great course.

We came to North Redington Beach for the weekend and saw this place on the way the hotel. From that point on, our kids made it known that it would be impossible to not play a round of golf. The kids had a blast– the course is creative and well planned for the space they have available. Staff was polite. Can’t ask for a better experience. Maybe a bit on the expensive side impaired to other mini golf courses we have visited.

It was a very nice well maintained course, and the alligators were very interesting but the price was as much as a par 3 golf course!

The course was not super challenging, but the holes were diverse and had a lot of slant to the greens. The maintenance on the course was great. We did not feed the baby alligators, but there is an option. Second rounds are only $ 1.99 and can be played any time the same day until close. Would be a good deal for kids or just to have a rematch.

It was a hot day. They have lots of shade and cold drinks. This place is fun for all ages. At night they have it lit up, I will do that next time

Nice course. The holes were pretty challenging. We made it to the 7^th hole and it started raining. The girl that worked there gave us all a rain check so we could come back and play again! I thought that was really cool.

My son and myself spent the weekend in Madeira Beach Florida. Kind of ran out of things to do after being at the beach all day. And going out to eat. We stopped in here hoping this was an arcade but we’re disappointed that its not. So we walked up the hill to the office of the putt putt golf .the young girl that was at the office doing a sign in or check in should really go try to buy a personality. For me and him to play putt putt golf 18 holes it was $ 31 he’s only 6. For this mediocre at best place to play putt putt golf that’s outrageous. It might have a cool looking pirate ship from the road but the course if that’s what you wanna call it is lacking at best! nothing interesting about it. The course matched the young ladies personality in the front office blah and overrated

We had a great time. We fed the alligators. Enjoyed the piped in music. The staff was pleasant. Loved the waterfalls and every hole. Only complaint is the wait before each hole because of the slow and large group in front of us. Other than that, I would love to go back and recommend to anyone to play putt putt golf here! Nice place for visitors or locals.

The course was simple and not as winding and crazy as I hoped it would be. But I had a good time and will definitely come back to wreak havoc on this put put course!!!
Don’t play hole 18 they’ll steal your ball.

Cousins and siblings and I, all in our 20s and 30s, had a great Saturday night here! We weren’t in the mood for anything crazy, and it was probably the funnest, conversation-​promoting low-​key group activity that I’ve done out at night in a long time. It would be great for kids, too. For a little more than the average movie price on a Saturday night, we had about 2 hours of great fun, and if it hadn’t been so late we probably would have gone in for a second round (just a couple bucks).
General conditions: Super clean, nicely kept up and appropriately thematic. The staff was friendly and very nice. Bathrooms were great. I liked that it was close to the ocean so we had a nice sea breeze.
Game: There are four players allowed per group, but if you have five they are cool about letting that happen. We had nine people and whereas we split into two groups, the holes were close enough together that those of us who were waiting for our turns could stand near the other group and chat/​hang out. The silly twists and turns make it fun and puts the super skilled to a slight disadvantage and provides lucky moments for those who lack hand-​eye coordination (me). It puts everyone at a pretty even level, something that I thoroughly enjoyed ;) There are pirate riddles along the way that give kids hints about each hole.
Random: There are baby gators that you can feed (for an additional charge -$ 2.99 for four food pellets). They are the fattest little things I’ve ever seen, but it was really fun feeding them with the little fishing pole. I don’t know that I’d do it again, but the kids there loved it. There also was a cool promo thing, the «Mystery Hole». At the end of the round, if a player made a hole in one at the appropriate mystery hole that player would receive a voucher for a free game to be used during their next visit. My cousin won so we’ll probably be back there again sometime soon!
Tips: Bring your own water bottles! It seemed that during the day there wouldn’t be much shade at all, so if you’re going when the sun is out I’d highly recommend wearing hats. Beware of the mosquitoes that can bite through your jeans. If you plan your visit ahead of time you can buy tickets online and save at least 2 dollars per person, but you have to allow time for the tickets to be mailed to you. Worth it though. If you don’t have that kind of time, you can sign up for them to email you a coupon for a dollar off of a player’s ticket

SC is, without a doubt, one of the best mini golf courses I’ve ever played in terms of upkeep and turf condition. That alone earns it five stars.
Fair warning, though, it’s $ 12 for the first round and that’s larceny for mini golf. But, it’s across the street from the ocean, so it’s to be expected. The alligator thing is cool, I enjoyed watching people feed them but I don’t think I would do it myself.
Is the course challenging? Not particularly. But 9 times out of 10 a given course is in such bad shape that it’s challenging for all the wrong reasons.
I’ll definitely be back.

This place is A-​OK and if you are craving some Mini Golf on Treasure Island or a nearby beach, you cannot go wrong with Smugglers Cove. This place has all the expected bells and whistles that you want when going to play Mini Golf. Plus, it is practically on the beach. A great way to spend the evening on vacation, or even just a great last stop for locals after a day at the beach.
A few things could use some updating. For Example, one hole was shortened and it looked a little funny see what was left over from the longer version of the hole. They probably could have and should have done a better job hiding it.
On thing they have that always makes kids excited is the gator feeding. I remember really being into it when I was quite a bit younger. It was especially exciting, because at that time I was visiting this area while on vacation. Since growing up and moving to Florida, I have been significantly less excited about feeding gators.
Nevertheless, whenever I am craving some Mini Golf, I always end up here. Even without spending the day on the beach, I will sometimes head out for a sunset walk on the beach and come here after. It is a nice relaxing evening under the florescent glow with cool fake waterfalls and pirate décor. What’s not to love!

My husband and I played 2 rounds here. We found a coupon for $ 1 off a round of golf. This brought it down to 10.99 per person. They did have a deal for a 2^nd round for only $ 1.99. The course was cute. The holes were not too complicated, but we were just trying to have some fun anyway.
We went on a Tuesday night in April. There was not too much «backup» happening on the course, but I am sure there would be on the weekends, or during the busy season. The little baby gators there are cute. For 3.99 you can buy food to feed them.
Overall, it was a good time.

If you have a beautiful afternoon and don’t play official golf, what better way to spend time than putt putt golf.
Not too far from where we were staying is Smuggler’s Cove, complete with real alligators. As such as I wanted to pet them, you really never get that close. I really liked it because its compact location makes for a challenging set of holes. Most follow gravity into spirals, caves and tunnels. You just never know what’s around the corner.
Pricing was very reasonable. Beware of bunching, especially if you like to take your time.

Top notch mini-​golf spot right by the beach…
The price is strikingly high though (12.00+tax for one adult round — 11.00+tax for kids). By far the most I’ve ever paid for a round of mini golf. The live gators and excellent design do make it seem more worth it, as does the beach location (you expect to pay a premium)…
I suggest going online and printing a coupon before going (it will save you a couple bucks at least):
It’s a good, fun course (and well maintained), and they do offer a second round for 1.99. But really, after 18 holes in the sun on this course (with lots of stairs) — you won’t really be super excited about doing it all over again.
PROTIP: Look up when you walk underneath the 2^nd level tunnel. The ball cup for the tunnel hole is above you (in the ceiling). Using the end of your club, you can «pop» it when someone above in the tunnel sinks their ball and make the ball jump out — causing much confusion and amusement in the tunnel above. Do a «pop & run»!

Big money for mini golf! But it’s really, really f’ing cool mini golf! They manage to create an unbelievably huge course on a small lot by building up– if you ever have to go pee in the middle of the course, you’re getting a workout with all the steps up and down! (I found this out the hard way!!). Live alligators are cool, lots of neat, tricky holes, and lots of cool pirate-​themed faux-​caves and waterfalls and decorations.
I’d give it 5 stars– but 10 bucks per game per adult is mighty steep! Cool enough for a game one a year on our vaca, not cool enough for the cost to do more than once per vaca, though!
