The shop offers Pennsylvania state inspections, «check engine light» diagnostics, engines, transmissions, brakes, air conditioning repair, exhaust systems and other maintenance and repairs. A shuttle service is available.

Established in 1995.

Owned and operated by Tim & Jackie Romig. Started business in May 1995. Previous to starting Automotive Service Solutions, Tim had over 15 years of automotive dealership experience in the service and parts departments.

Have been a customer for about 2 years now. The first time I went to them, I realized they were expensive compared to some of the other shops in the area. Nevertheless, they got the job done, so I kept going back, but got more and more suspicious of their price each time. ‘Twas the last straw when they charged me almost DOUBLE the hours that it normally takes for a job I have done myself twice in the past, and I when I asked for an itemized breakdown, refused to provide one. It was just this kind of apples to apples comparison I needed to confirm what I always suspected and to go find another mechanic.

Service is usually ok but more expensive than other local places, especially their labor costs. Definitely ask for a written quote on any major work being done as verbal quotes have repeatedly been lower than the eventual total bill. Tim makes the effort to go over what the problem is and what they think needs to be done. Bottom line – they do a fairly good job but expect to pay more.

Tim and Jackie are honest owners. They do the work your car needs and don’t try to sell you what you don’t need. They will work with you, even using parts you provide. Tim always provides a thorough explanation of work performed.
You will pay more than a chain shop. But, the work will be done correctly. The rare times they make a mistake, they will fix it. I have been a customer for several years.
