Middle Georgia State University – Macon Campus

We had our annual conference this year at Middle Georgia College’s Conference Center. I was very impressed. The space is new and modern. The AV and Sound Equipment perfect. Delicious food served but very nice people. Perfect place for a confrontation in middle Georgia!

I looooove coming to conferences at Macon State College. If you are looking for meeting space in middle Georgia for around a hundred people or less, you want to have your event at their brand new conference center.
Among their pluses:
–Free parking
–Great lunches, with a particularly delectable squash casserole that is extra cheesy and a garden goodness filled veggie lasagna. They also always have good healthier options, such as herb basted grilled chicken and Greek salad with vinaigrette dressings on the side.
–Beautiful facility, with a giant wall of windows overlooking a large lake with a fountain.
–Free wireless.
–Starbucks on the premises.
–Projection, computer, and sound systems that have never malfunctioned at the half dozen or so conferences I’ve been at over the past couple of months.
–Conveniently located less than a mile off the interstate.

Beautiful Campus overlooking the lake! This review is not really of the campus but of a service it offers! There is now a café at MSC that serves Starbucks coffee. Go into the Charles H Jones Bldg and immediately go downstairs to the PSC Bldg entrance and there is a lovely little café overlooking the lake with plenty of seating that brews Starbucks coffee, espresso, Frap’s, and Iced lattes. They open at 7:30am and open till about 8pm, I think. You don’t have to be in the college to go to the café (I’m not) and it’s convenient to run in and out in the morning if you need a caffeine fix as there is no other options in this general area! Again, plenty of seating overlooking floor to ceiling windows with panoramic view of lake! Wonderful stop in the morning or on the way back home to unwind! All common areas when walking to the café, so you don’t have to worry about signing in or asking for permission to be on campus… just follow my directions!
