I need an oil change and the technician I worked with gave me so much knowledge about a car I had recently purchased. He was able to help me with how to maintain my car regularly and I would recommend this location to anyone.

I went to this location and regret going there because they were trying to over charge me services regarding my car. They were nice to me grant it but the prices were outrageous! Not to mention I had to come out of my pocket of 66 dollars for diagnosis on my engine. I think they feel they can get over on women because they do not know a lot about cars. My brother knows a lot about cars because he is a mechanic. He told me that 600 dollars for those services that they recommended it too much money. He said I can get a tune up that is much cheaper at most places in GA. He said if he lived close to me he can easily do a tune up and the other services much cheaper than what they are trying to charge me. I also got online today and founded TIRES PLUS TOTAL CAR CARE and they have different levels of tune ups and the premium tune up which includes fuel filter package, and fuel injection cleaning is probably much cheaper than what Pep boys is asking. I will contact them tomorrow regarding their prices because Pep boys is a complete RIP OFF! Ladies please do not go to Pep boys without a mechanic or someone that knows about cars. They will try to get over on you because they think women are dumb or stupid and they do not know about cars.

They couldn’t find and fix a tire leaking air because they couldn’t find the leak even after making them go back and looking again. My light for low tire was back on before I got home. I took to Discount Tire next day where they found the nail causing the leak and an screw in another tire and fixed both tires FREE of charge. Boo!

I came in for an oil change, and my oil plug was broken from a previous oil change from another place. Well JAMES did not let us panic he jumped right in found a tool called an easy out and ordered another plug, kept us laughing and very content while our (my mother and I) service was beong rendered. Pep boys should have more James” around! Thanks gwen.

So for over a year, I had issues with my vehicle check engine light coming on and off randomly. I had it checked on numerous occasions and had both oxygen sensors replaced more than once. No one could seem to figure out what the problem was and I had taken it to 3 different mechanics. My birthday was last month and I failed emissions because of the stupid oxygen sensors. I took the car to the Pep Boys on Austell Road that had supposedly replaced the sensors. They replaced them again but when I drove five miles down the road the check engine light came back on. When I went to try and retake my emissions test, I failed again. So I took the car to the pep boys location on Floyd Road. They finally fixed my car! After more than a year, four different mechanics, and a lot of time being stressed out, I finally found a shop where people know what they’re doing and actually care. Fritz, James, and Kevin rock! I can’t thank them enough! And I won’t take my car anywhere else anymore!

Great experience @ Pep Boys today. The service was speedy and very professional. I would highly recommend this location to friends and family.

Just got a leaky tire patched — they didn’t charge. I’ve had several minor repairs done there with no problems. They’re generally very busy but that’s no surprise for a reliable auto shop. Definitely a good place to go if you need minor car work.

I made an appointment, for 5:00. I am still sitting here at 5:47 and looks like another 30 minutes before my car is ready. I came in for a simple car oil change. I could of done this quicker myself. I will not be coming back and I suggest you don’t waste your time here.

Worst customer service ever. It took 40 minutes for their register to reboot (it crashed when I swiped my card??). I didn’t want to go through the hassle of trying to pay with my card again so after being assured that my debit card was not charged, I paid with cash instead. I checked my bank account later that day and saw that the charge was processing. So I called and inform them of this. The girl on the phone states that unless 2 receipts printed out, the transaction did not go through. She’s overly confident of this, rude even. It went through. Surprise, surprise. Now I have to drive back over there and show them my bank statement because they can’t simply check their point of sales system and refund me over the phone? Honestly ever since they changed management the quality of service here has just gone downhill.

I came here to get my brake fluid flush. I did make an appointment prior and once I got there they told me it will take bout 45min. Since the weather was great I walked around their shopping plaza which has a publix, nail salon etc (yes, I got my nails done while pep boys was greeting theirs dirty). One hour later I returned, car was ready to go and I asked if I could see how my old brake fluid looked like. No problem, presented it to me and it was definitely DUE to be changed! Bob was very knowledgable and helpful as well as Art and Josh.
I can highly recommend this place and will be returning!

I would like to do an update on my review. I made an appointment for 8am on saturday morning. I waited for my car to get the diagnostic done to find out what i needed to repair in order to pass the emissions. The cashier guy named Arthur was helpful, he asked me if I was a member of the rewards program. I said no, he then gave me a rewards card and explained to me that normally there is a $ 44 charge for the diagnostic, but because I was now a member, the fee is waived. I then sat down and waited. I got up from my chair at 9:30am. I went to the cashier named Arthur. I asked him when I was going to get my car to find out what was it that needed repair. He said the technician is still working on it. I asked him how long that normally takes. He said the technician got in at 8:30am (not my problem) then i asked him what time he started? He said he was going to find out (still typing on the computer) I asked him how much longer does he have? (he said it depends on what the computer says and what he is looking for) I asked him again can he find out how much longer (continued to type on the computer)
A few seconds when by the technician came in to talk to him about what is needed. The cashier Arthur then gave me the document and said «here is what you need» (I didn’t understand anything on that paper) I then asked him to explain to me and provide me a breakdown of what I need and how much it will be. He then said to go sit down and he will bring it to me. After a noter 20 min waiting, I go to the cashier again and he shows me his screen with two items on it. He then adds 2two labor charges for $ 92 each. I ask him why there is two 2 charges for labor? He said they charge for every part that is put in! I then decided that I was going to go somewhere else, I asked him again for the print out for the quote along with the price. He said sure and gave me a bill for $ 44 for the diagnostic. I then asked him why I am getting charged for something that was waived due to my membership with the rewards program. He said that is the fee and that it will only be waived if I have the work done with pep boys. I was not happy and let him know that at the beginning of the transaction he said it would be waived with my membership. I became loud and he then said it was taken care of. I asked for the print out AGAIN. He then handed me a piece of paper, asked for my email address and said he would email me the quote. He then walked outside and helped another customer.
Today I woke up and still have not received the quote. I WILL NEVER GO TO THIS LOCATION.

This was my second time coming to Pep Boys for an oil change, for it’s the only auto shop that I know of that is open on Sundays. When I walked in, I was made aware that there would be a 45 minute wait. Because I have to travel a long distance to work, and I wouldn’t have been able to get an oil change for a few more days, I made the decision to wait.
Ernesto, the guy at the desk, was very nice and gives great service. Their prices are similar to the other auto shops I’ve been to. I give this location 3 starts because although service was fine, my wait ended up being over an hour, and there were others waiting as well. Next time, I’ll do what another Unilocaler suggested and schedule an appointment.

I went here bc it was in the area. I really didn’t think I would find a place that could service my car on a Sunday morning, but this was the place. The guys here were really nice. I was there at 9:02am. I do suggest that if you plan on dropping a car off call and make an appt in advance so that you can avoid the wait.

Mike at the Floyd Road Pep Boys is the best. He went above and beyond with his helpfulness and courteous attitude., helping me with the power steering fluid for my car. Thank you, Mike!
