The 4 star rating is based on restaurants of it’s class — fast food Mexican chains. Taco Del Mar is superior in quality ingredients and taste to Taco Bell(which I find nearly inedible) but not quite as good as Chipotle(which I really like) in my opinion. If you’ve eaten at a Taco Del Mar before, this location is on par with any other. If you have not had TDM before and you like convenient Mexican food, definitely give this place a shot.

I recently tried this Mexican restaurant. I ordered a pork burrito. I got one small spoon full of Pork and about 3 heaping tablespoons of rice. Needless to say I won’t go back!

not what I expected ! the trays of beans and meat appeared old at least a day or 2 plus no shredded beef. ask for guacamole and she added sour cream too. Probably won’t go back !!!

Quick, convenient, inexpensive and local. Nothing really amazing about DelTaco but it’s always good food.

I love the burritos here but the nachos are OK. they were made kinda sloppily and the chicken they used had an odd consistency. I will go here on occasion when I’m really in the mood for Mexican American food in big portions

The prior owner did lower prices and more portions. The new owners now have raised the prices every week and portions are getting smaller. Looks like the new owner is going CHEAP!!!

I will never eat here again! We came in right before the dinner rush started, and all the meat and beans were sitting with a layer of film on top. We decided to give it a chance anyway. I ordered the fish tacos, and was horrified to see them pull frozen fish pieces from the freezer and microwave them. She then proceeded to give me fish patties that had been sitting out instead of the ones that were just microwaved. My mom ordered the nachos with no meat and the cashier tried to overcharge her. They were decent at best. I ended up taking the fish off the tacos after taking a bite and finding it inedible. Next time we’ll travel a bit farther to Café Rio.

The woman making my nachos piled everything in the middle of the chips, I had to ask her to spread it around. She barely put any cheese on top, I had to ask for more of that too. Then she microwaved my nachos, instead of steaming the cheese to melt it. This shouldn’t happen, ever. This separates the cheese and over cooks the already hot beans. Also, while we were there she was cleaning the store. She was sweeping with a broom in the food prep area, as well as spraying glass cleaner on the windows near my table. Both these practices should NOT happen where there’s food out, as it contaminates the food. I’ve been a TDM customer for years but this was my first visit to this particular location, never again.

Service was good! However, to go to a high end Mexican fast food joint; yuk! I had the fish tacos and chips. The corn shells where store bought, the fish was good, and the cabbage as well was good. The chips came from a bag and were so salty it canceled out any flavor of the fish tacos. Memos on evergreen and Madison; same meal same price, 5 times the chips which are piping hot and freshly made! The corn tortillas appear, feel, and taste homemade as well. Memos is better food and bang for you buck.

I always order the fish burrito with lime, cilantro, black beans and white sauce. Service is always efficient, they know what they’re doing and it’s friendly. Place is clean and bright with ample parking.

Taco del Mar at Lynnwood 164th, so bad I will never go there again. The meat was cold(hope I don’t get sick).

Taco Del Mar used to be awesome, but the quality in food has gone so downhill it’s now the Mexican Subway. It’s stingy like Subway too, but this location is a little better with their portions. The people are always nice and it’s clean.

I’m going to write this as an open letter to Taco Del Mar. I have been a customer since 1996 and have frequently cited you as my favorite fast food restaurant. I used to drop by for an enormous burrito for which I paid less than $ 4. Here we are less than 20 years later and I now pay between $ 5.50 and $ 6.50 for a burrito that varies in size from location to location but is never really as big as the one I used to get for around $ 3.50. Consistency is a huge issue across your network of restaurants. I realize that this is probably due to franchisees being overly protective of their bottom line but it’s your name that they’re doing harm to. I don’t even bother ordering your taco salad anymore because sometimes in comes in a bowl so small it practically qualifies as finger food. Your fish tacos, once the pride of your company, are now soggy messes. Yesterday I partook of a disgusting lunch with a Mondo Burrito that was roughly ½ the size of the first one I had at your Queen Anne location back in 1996. The rice was dried out and crunchy and the meat was chewy and overcooked. The fish taco was so soggy that it fell apart while I was trying to eat it. It’s hard to say it because I’ve loved you for so long but I think I’m done. I guess that there are a few locations that I still like and might drop by every now and again but none of them are near where I live so I guess I’m moving on to Qdoba or other options. This is a sad day for me.

This Taco Del Mar is awesome! The staff is great and very personable. I return just because it is so welcoming(and the food is pretty good with healthy portions and great daily specials!) The location is also an attraction with Wal-Mart in the same parking lot. It’s convenient to go shopping before stopping in to grab some dinner. It’s a great place to go grab a bite to eat with a friend or to take food to go.

Found something I wanted on craigslist and had to drive all the way up here in rush hour traffic to buy the item. I was hungry as hell and this was in the same parking lot, I think this was a sign. I know it was a sign :) I actually haven’t been to a Taco Del Mar for quite some time, not that I thought anything might have changed, good or bad, but it was nice to step in and get excited about a mondo burrito. And that was all I got. I kept it simple, normal, nothing special. The lady who made my burrito was quick, helpful, maybe a little hard to understand, but no issues. The burrito was good, juicy(expected, as always) and hot. I give it four stars for being a solid visit, nothing wow’d me, but I didn’t walk away bummed out.

I love love love my 196th St TDM in Lynnwood, but this one is a close second. I had not been to this one before, but I bought a living social deal for it. We actually bought two and both times the service and food was great. Today we went in right about 11am and the gal was by herself. She did a great job getting 5 sets of people taken care of and cashed out. This location is clean and orderly, just like 196th.

If you want Mexican fast food, this place is 10 time better than Taco Bell or Taco Time. You can order your tacos«as you like them» and by that I mean choosing the kind of shell, the meat, the toppings and the sauces. They serve HUGE burritos, have a variety of other items like taco salad or plates where you choose the main item and then also get beans and rice on the side. I love the fact you can choose your meat(or choose fish) and all your fixings. The food as always been fresh, the wait staff fast and efficient and the food good.

Better than average for fast food. Fish Tacos w/extra hot sauce to the rescue! Now if only the manager can figure out how to hook up the ice tea machine in less than 10 minutes…

I eat at this Taco Del Mar often because it’s on my way to and from home(or at least not too far out of the way.) They staff is always nice, and even enlightened me that they make a Fish Mondo. The tacos sometimes aren’t enough food and paying for a side of rice sucks. I even come in sometimes a few minutes before closing(I’m sorry, I’m being«that» customer) and they are still friendly and willing to help me get my order. I definitely keep coming back!
