History

Established in 2014.

SLR Design & Build was founded in January 2014 by Shayne Rochester. We are interior installation specialists with over 20 years of experience in the Seattle area. We strive for excellence in our work, but also in the relationships we have with our clients, architects, designers, and vendors. We do this by placing high priority on quality construction, character, and cleanliness.

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

I was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. My dad owned a local cabinet shop, specializing in custom kitchen design and remodels. At 18, I began working in the industry on a variety of projects– everything from Outback Steakhouses to church remodels. At 23, I was ready to take over my father’s business, The Wood Practitioner, completing numerous kitchen, bath, and remodel projects.

After some life changes, I found myself on the Big Island of Hawaii, working on custom, luxury homes. After three years, I came back to the Home of the 12^th Man, married my wife, Jeanette, and started SLR Design & Build. Now I’m helping my clients build a new tomorrow, one dream at a time
