Slater’s One Hour Cleaners

The check in process is super quick. I only bring in my dry cleaning in bulk about 30 dress shirts, Im typically never in a hurry but I really needed 2 shirts done within a next day and he said not to worry they will all be done today. I brushed it off as an over promise and under deliver and told him again I wouldn’t be here till tomorrow morning and sure enough he called me later the same night to let me know they are 100% done. I’m blown away by the service.

I have used Slater’s about once or twice a year for the past five years, mostly for bulk cleaning. Their work is good — IF you can endure coming back again and again and again and again because «it still needs airing» or «It’s somewhere here» or «Just give me another day» (he promised Wednesday and this was Friday — and even then two items weren’t done!!! so I came back Saturday, still not done («You don’t understand drycleaning; it cannot be rushed and you put pressure to have it done on Wednesday [dropped it off on the Thursday before] – and that wasn’t true – I asked him when it would be ready – and he said Wednesday, even with later additions) This time he promised he’d deliver it after 5:30 and not charge me… well, he called an hour ago at 3:40 while I was out, told me to call him. WEll, I just called – it’s 5PM and nobody answers. Well, after zillions of rings to his store number, he did answer – needed directions to my home… This is a merchant who is running amok due to lack of help and impossible promises and even more improbable, untrue, customer-​unfriendly excuses. I shall not use this establishment again. Nor will the man who came in a second time for his shirt.

I brought in my favorite coat because I spilled something on it and they were able to get the stain out. I’ve been a long time customer at this cleaners and they always do a good job especially with taking out stains. They are not the cheapest cleaners but I know the quality will be the highest. So happy with the service!

I should have pulled the first person’s post of this place!!! I took my queen size duvet in to be cleaned because my puppy accidently peed on it. It took over 3 weeks, yes, I’ll ignore that it was over the holidays, but the older man continued to say to me that it will take a couple more days — I have given them 3 chances. They did a good job, but tell me if it’s going to take more than a couple weeks.
I’ll think twice before coming here again.
