The food is so so but I didn’t expect much as it is food court foods. Even it said no MSG, you still got thirsty after the meal.

Located at the Food Court of H Mart. It’s always easy to come here for something fast and sometimes, I do crave the«spicy» pork phở they serve here. It’s a perfect portion. I enjoy the crunch of my veggies(bean sprouts, the onions and basil leaves) i throw in there. Add some Hoisin sauce and chili oil – Taste like heaven… This soup is so refreshing and cleansing at the same time. I never get tired ordering this soup over and over again. There is plenty of free parking and actually since it’s a food court, here, I also enjoy some«Korean» foods favorite, Sushi, Indian food and the market is a few steps away. On the weekends, it’s pretty busy but not crazy. So, I still enjoy my fast food cravings when I want.

Phở Tai is in the Lynnwood H-Mart food court across from the Alderwood Mall. It’s one among many stalls serving food from all over Asia — Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and maybe other food by now. I am totally surprised by so many negative reviews. My husband and I have shared their medium phở ga many, many times.(Yes, it is that huge!) Both of us always found it filling & delicious. Never once did we find discover anything wrong with the food or fresh condiments. Additional seasoning is something we always add ourselves(Asian tradition) including a bit of Hoisin and a tiny spoonful of chili sauce. The only downside of their regular phở might be that it contains MSG, but vegetarian phở without MSG is available. I had it once but didn’t find it as flavorful as the original. I don’t go to phở restaurants for anything other than phở… so have no idea about their other food.

Tried their food a couple times and they never improve. The food there is always basic and homemade taste. Never order their drinks/bubble tea! Worst drink you would get for an unreasonable price and size. My friends ordered Thai tea that cost $ 3.50 and they came in a small cup that tasted like the ones from a can. I ordered avocado flavor and specifically asked if they use real avocado and the guy said yes. When I got my drink it was basically bland slush in a small cup, didn’t really taste any avocado whatsoever. Rude customer service too, no welcomes or thank you and after he made our drinks he just left it by a counter on the side… Never again, bye!

This review is for their bubble tea. TERRIBLE. The worst I have had in my life. First of all, it’s not even real tea. And they Ice blended it. I didn’t ask for mine to be ice blended and worst of all, it’s $ 3.5 a cup for this absolutely sugary artificial cup of diluted beverage. I am mad at myself for not trusting my instinct and not checking Unilocal.Disgusting even on a food court standard. Avoid at all cost.

So, I didnt REALLY get to try the food here, except as noted. Came here on a Saturday afternoon, thought i’d try one of the other 7 restaraunts in the H-Mart food court having enjoyed some others. I thought the menu board was quite disarrayed, found it quite hard to find my favorite phở’ mix(rare beef, tripe, tendon, etc). So I order #15, leave $ 1 tip in the jar, and am told to come back in 7 minutes… no number, no receipt, i guess he must have a good memory. 7 minutes go by…8…9…10…11…12131415… several orders come out, not mine… I spy a bowl that could be mine, but the server adds other orders to the tray, and another customer picks it up. Keep waiting…5 minutes go by, and that customer returns the bowl. wrong one. The cashier goes back to confer with the manager… they look around, call out #15(which is what i ordered), I walk up, and i am none too pleased, the manager looks in the soup and deems it still good«i can tell», so I meekly take it back to my seat — but quickly realize the noodles are going to be very soft, and well, the RAREBEEF is now well-boiled beef. Forget it, I take it back, ask for my money back, he confers with the manager, ok, refund ok. Seems like if you cant keep your orders straight you should a adopt a numbering scheme like EVERYONEELSE in the food court. I should’ve asked for my $ 1 tip back. Oh, and while I was waiting, I finally did what i shouldve done first, check my Unilocaler friends opinion, and was APPALLED to see a recent maggot review with pictures. i expect to see a management reply to that before I ever consider eating here again.

Waited 26 minutes of my 30 minute lunch break for a Vietnamese sandwich. Sandwich was fresh but service and kitchen speed was abysmal.

This is by far the worst experience I’ve ever had with Phở, and sadly I will never eat it again because of this disgusting place. I can’t even think Phở without getting sick, and it used to be a favorite dish of mine. There were maggots, real, fat, slimy maggots in my chicken Phở.(I am posting a photo of one of these that I fished out of the soup.) When I brought up the maggot and the Phở back to her, she had a giant smile and tried to assure me that it is normal to have«worms» in the soup because they use«fresh basil» and well, worms live in basil abs they can’t do anything about it.(Do they believe in washing food maybe?) She thought this was a reasonable explanation?! Yes, she was crazy. Maggots live in old meat, not fresh basil. I feel like throwing up just writing this. I brushed my teeth 5 times since I came from there 30 minutes ago. Don’t ever eat here, starve if you have to, unless you don’t mind the taste of old, cooked maggots. Ewwwwwww.

First, let’s be clear. This is not fine dining. You are not going to have a waiter place a napkin in your lap. You are not going to get bone china plates and gold rimmed silverware. Some people on here make me wonder if they don’t know the difference between a food court and a tennis court. Seriously, if you were expecting a meal that compares to Ruth’s Chris, then you may want to reconsider your eating habits altogether. On the other hand, if you are looking for something that absolutely tastes incredible, is reasonably priced, is hot upon delivery to your table, and is simply a great overall value, then you absolutely must try the Grilled Beef menu item. I am here to tell you that this meal will rival anything in it’s price range, anywhere. The beef is very nicely seasoned and cooked properly. Everything on the plate is very tasty and you are sure to consume every single bite. The salad dressing as absolutely fantastic and the entire plate is just a great eat. I go to the dentist in the area every 6 months. I can not eat anything for 30 minutes after, but I usually wait around for 45 minutes, and then go to Phở Tai to order. This meal is so good it makes me wish I had to go to the dentist more often, and we all know how wonderful it is to visit the dentist. I have eaten at nearly every restaurant in the area, and in my opinion, this one dish stands out against other meals in the neighborhood. It competes well against Red Robin’s burgers, and is a far better tasting dish than anything at the Subway across the street.

The restaurant’s name is PHO Tai, so what does a true Unilocaler order? This token salute to that Vietnamese staple can be found in the food court at HMart, vying for your attention amongst the other Asian cuisines. Remember, this is a Korean-dominated food setting. It does not matter if there’s a Japanese(Oshima) or Chinese restaurant in this zone… they are run by Koreans. Thus, the food is accented toward the Korean palate. That’s just the way it is. First ominous sign– I ordered the«phở dac biet» and the server looked at me puzzled. Storm clouds on the horizon. So, I deferred and asked her what phở had everything in it and she pointed to item no. 6, handwritten on a cheap sign behind her instead of the glowing marquee above our heads. I get the large bowl and wait a few minutes at my red plastic seat in the community zone before it is presented to me. Nice dark color of the broth reveals it is beef-based, but oddly… barely an essence of beef bouquet. The bowl is covered with half-rings of white onions, chopped green onions, a couple slices of tendon and thin strips of tripe. Accoutrements included the usual mung bean sprouts, a stem of basil, jalapeño, a sliver of lime, and chopped cilantro. Then, it went downhill. Fast. The broth tasted… how shall I say this?, funky. Something like maybe beef bouillon might have been used instead. I do not know what but the flavor was low-grade bitter. Perhaps, other organ meats were used. I don’t know. All I do know is that this isn’t Vietnamese phở broth. Purists and natives will agree with me on this. Also, some of the cheap cuts of meat were so gummy that I had to spit it into my napkin. Disgusting. And, maddening. I take a day off from my job to eat this??? Anyway, if you go to Phở Tai, do yourself a favor and order anything but the phở.

Wow, I’m surprised this place has such bad reviews. It’s one of my H Mart food-court favs. However, I will say that I’ve only had tofu phở here. I haven’t experimented with the other dishes, because the tofu phở is so tasty. It fills my belly up just enough to energize my grocery shopping trip!

I am speaking to the bubble teas here. Horribly terrible… they do not know how to make bubble teas yet they overcharge for it($ 3.50 — really?). I asked for an «original» milk tea got a confused reception. «Milk flavor?» The cashier asked. The end result was a white cup of yuck which I ended up dumping. If you don’t know how to make bubble teas then don’t attempt to sell it. It’s an insult to my taste buds. When I crave for bubble teas I will go back to my favorite spots such as Tapioca Express in Edmonds or Pochi Station in Lynnwood.

I am mostly just commenting on the bubble tea here. I have had bites of the mozzarella stick and a few other things when people have ordered them(and they were fine, nothing special but good). Mostly I just grab some bubble tea here to have while I grocery shop. They have a lot of flavors and everything I have tried is yummy(green tea, pineapple, jackfruit and passionfruit). They do take awhile(I think they only have one blender) but bubble tea is worth the wait :)

I don’t see why this place gets such poor reviews. My sister and I opted to split a Grilled Chicken plate($ 6.95) for lunch, and ordered my nephew some french fries to munch on. I have to say that it’s nice that they have teriyaki and fried items such as fries, nuggets, and cheese sticks for kiddos that are less than vietnamese food inclined available here, as well as bubble tea, phở, and grilled meat dishes and noodle bowls. The plate lunch we got was more than ample for two people– It was huge! It was presented with a very fresh iceburg salad topped with a sesame dressing, a healthy portion of rice, one eggroll, and a good sized portion of grilled chicken, lightly marinated, but not overly sweet like a teriyaki would have been. I am actually glad in hindsight, that we chose to split a meal instead of ordering our own plates, because for one, it would have been a lot of food with leftovers for sure. For two to eat for 6.95, it was a steal. My nephew even ate some of the chicken and the rice, and really liked it. It was decent food for the price, not the best Vietnamese grilled bbq plate you can find around, but when you are shopping at HMart and need a quick bite, You wouldn’t be too dissapointed with the value to quality ratio here.

Dear God, Please Lord don’t ever let me eat there again! In fact if I somehow forget how horrible the food is here, please by all means smite me oh great Father who art in heaven because my tastebuds are in absolute hell right now! Not only am I deeply offended by the shabby quality of the chicken but I’m pretty sure the broth was on the rancid side if that’s even possible. Lord if you’re really sincere of getting rid of that Satan fella, may I advise you to invite him for lunch there and recomend the chicken phở aka #18 on the menu. I’m quite sure it will cleanse the Earth of his tyranny only to replace it with their own culinary evil.

The ordering was more complicated/time-consuming than it should have been and I wasn’t impressed with the spring rolls. Ordering the bubble tea went pretty smoothly, ordering the spring rolls did not. I had to verify and repeat several times just to get a mutual understanding that I *did* want spring rolls and I wanted the tofu ones, not the shrimp ones. The bubble tea gave me something of a brain freeze and was plenty tasty. The spring rolls were quite bland and disappointing, and I was bummed about the peanut sauce. I should really get better at anticipating that places might give me peanut sauce and see about grabbing some hoisin sauce or something instead. It would have really taken a lot of sauce to make me love these spring rolls, though. More of a 2.5, I think, but I just can’t bring myself to give ‘em 3 stars.

Items Ordered: — Phở with Fried Tofu — Grilled Chicken with Vermicelli Noodles — Garden Roll — Red Bean Bubble Tea with Tapioca This was my very first time at the Lynnwood, WA H-Mart. I was very impressed with their food court. It was almost a no brainer where to eat if you’ve never been there before, since there was a line of 3 – 4 people deep at Phở Tai compared with the 4 restaurants. My wife ordered the Phở with Fried Tofu. It was just ‘A-Ok’. I ordered the Grilled Chicken with Vermicelli Noodles which was pretty good. They included a lot of lettuce and the grilled chicken was very tender. They probably could have included more noodles, but I was pretty happy with the amount of vegetables they included. The Garden Roll was pretty good; however, the peanut dipping sauce they gave was pretty watery. The Bubble tea was ‘A-Ok’. They definitely did not put enough Tapioca in. I will probably order it one more time, just to see if they were consistent with the ‘lack of’ Tapioca. Overall, Phở Tai is pretty good. I will eat here again before trying another one of the restaurants.

Ugh, super unimpressed by this place. I wanted to try a new phở place but didn’t read the reviews beforehand(tisk tisk) and found it in a shopping mall at H Mart. It seemed like the best out of the options there and when I say best, it’s where all of the people gravitated toward so I assumed it would be okay — but it wasn’t really. It was $ 6.99 for a large bowl and I didn’t like that all of the ingredients(bean sprouts, etc.) were just sitting on an open counter. Don’t know how long they had been out there but it made me nervous. The beef didn’t taste like it was of great or even good quality, and there weren’t very many noodles. The broth was probably the best part although even that was lacking a little. Spring rolls… I’ve had better frozen ones. All in all, I was not impressed. Definitely skip this place.

I had a hankering for phở but I also wanted to pick up a couple things at the store… so where better to go than H-Mart? I knew there was a phở place in there and had wanted to try it, so this was prime opportunity. I was highly disappointed. My phở was tasteless. Seriously. The chicken also looked like something out of a frozen dinner. Bleh. That’ll show me. I do give them two stars because the chix teriyaki my daughter got was decent, not anything to brag about but far better than my phở.
