Osborne Chiropractic

I was a patient of Osborne Chiropractic from 2013 to 2016. I’ve had a variety of experiences there that have culminated in me no longer being a patient of theirs.
The chiropractic adjustments were fine, predictable, and consistent. As typical of chiro offices, on several occasions they attempted to sell me on an ongoing treatment plan with monthly installment payments that would last 6 – 12 months. I rejected that and continued treatment as I felt necessary.
The massage treatments were acceptable. The massage therapists tend to talk more than I prefer. But recently, their massage rooms were moved up 2 flights of very steep and treacherous stairs. This was a dealbreaker for me, both as a chronic pain patient with pelvis issues (the stairs are painful for me, no elevator in the building) and after a massage I often feel dizzy and I’d have to walk down these stairs afterward — these stairs are very steep and I am at risk of falling.
But the real straw that broke the camel’s back about why I’ll never be a patient of theirs anymore is a long ongoing story about accounting problems. I’ll put it in a nutshell here.
It took me 4 requests to get a copy of all my transactions of service. At time of payment, you are given a receipt, but no invoice. If you track your medical expenses for tax purposes, the receipt is inadequate. The front desk staff put me off twice and the accounting staff put me off once before finally giving me my record of service and charges and payments. When I finally got it from accounting, it didn’t include the entire time period I requested. That took two additional requests for them to finally get the service period correct. This lack of attention to detail was irritating.
The front desk staff decided to double my copay charges at the beginning of the year. When I questioned this, they rudely argued with me on two occasions stating that it was because they had to collect an insurance deductible. I had to do my own research with my insurance company and get them to help me prove to Osborne that they were incorrect and they were double charging me. When they finally acknowledged this to be true, they offered me a refund of HALF of the double charges. I insisted the refund all of the overpayments, which was greater than $ 100.
When I finally confirmed this refund, I specifically reiterated that they had my address incorrect (which I had attempted to update with the front desk on at least 2 occasions). They responded to my email with the address directive and assured me a check would be sent. Sure enough, they sent the check to the wrong address. When my refund check was a week late, I asked if they sent it to the address in my email. They said no, they sent it to my old address, and asked «don’t you have mail forwarding set up?» (which of course I did — when I moved out of there three years prior! Its expired!). I finally got the check almost 3 weeks after I proved they were double-​charging me. «Accepts insurance — but will mishandle it and argue with you about it».
This ongoing incompetence and inattention to detail is almost as frustrating as the icy cold rude demeanor of Svetlana at the front desk. She has never deigned to grace me or my significant other with even an ounce of kindness or a smile, even though we were both patients there for extended periods of time.
They also switched their check in system to using iPads for every client. I don’t want to touch a computer touch screen that every other client and their children has touched, that’s not sanitary. Not only that, for elderly or vision challenged clients, this is basically a big deterrent from using the office if they are forced to complete their own check in (which was previously a piece of paper).
I’ll never be back.

I have been seeing Dr. Osborne for about 3 years now. I started seeing him mostly because of headaches/​migraines/​neck pain I’d been having for several years (and I am not that old!). He is one of the most genuinely kind people I have met. He made me feel comfortable immediately, and I had never been to a chiropractor before in my life (and to be honest I was a bit skeptical). I’ve been seeing him about once every 2 weeks for the past 3 years, and I have not had a migraine since early 2014! I have also started adding massage to my regimen about once every 2 – 3 months, and Marina is GREAT. I always look forward to the appointments that include massage! My neck is improving even though I only go once every 2 – 3 weeks. I was not a believer in chiropractic before I started seeing Dr. Osborne, but now I definitely am! I plan on continuing my care with him for a long long time.

I came in on a Groupon and was a bit worried that they would try to upsell me. Totally not the case, they let me know all my options and there was no pressure what so ever, very impressed with this! When I first called, a nice lady on the phone told me that my services would be split into either 2 or 3 visits (my groupon was for Xrays, chiropractic adjustment, and a massage) and we scheduled the first visit for two weeks out. Then I was encountering a lot of back pain and called back to see if I could get in sooner. They scheduled me for the next day (Wow!) and we did X-​rays and a consult. But Dr. Osborne was very upfront and asked what I wanted out of the visit, as some people only wanted the massage and nothing else. That was great to have the option, but I wanted it all. Came in two days later for my massage (which was nice & they even added in some hot rocks, so it then became a hot stone massage) and then after my massage, my chiropractic adjustment. My adjustment was great! Unfortunately my health insurance does not include Dr. Osborne, but he said he was willing to give me some referrals to other chiro’s if I wanted or I could pay the non-​insurance fee if I decided to come back to him. At the moment, I will stay with my health insurance as it only costs $ 10/​visit through that, but since my health insurance changes every few years, the next time I switch health plans I will check and see if Dr. Osborne is part of their plan!
Great location next to the Alderwood Mall in Lynnwood, with lots of parking. Have driven past this office so many times and never noticed it here. Adjustments are done in a big spacious room with other people but I am used to that. They also have one of those tables that you lay on that most chiropractors have that massage your back for you. But… this one had an ice pack on it that you lay on. Brilliant idea!
Really thought that Dr. Osborne was great and enjoyed my chiropractic adjustment!

I’m shocked there’s only one other review. I found this place through a LS or Groupon… can’t remember which… only the name of the company was never listed so maybe that’s why there aren’t more reviews.
My experience was terrible.
I was surprised when I drove up and saw a giant building saying Osborne Chiro at the address where Wellness Center should have been. I was surprised when I was being given a «chiro eval» rather than a pain eval… if I had known it was to work with a Chiro I would have stuck with my own. I was surprised when they said I was not getting a massage because their practice is to split up the consult and massage into different appoints at least two days apart??? HUH?!! The voucher was for a MASSAGE with pain consult.
I was disgusted, felt ripped off, confused. This was my first truly bad experience with LS/​Groupon. I did get a refund and did not return for the massage (s). I had bought 2.
To be perfectly honest, it all felt like a huge scam. The Chiros walked and talked like used cars salesmen. They indeed tried to upsale me on more sessions and x-rays…again this voucher was NOT for Chiropractic care.
So the only good thing that came out of this was from desperately seeking another massage asap and getting in with Olympus Spa only 15 minutes after leaving this place.

Very professional yet very friendly, adding a very convenient location. I am so glad that I chose this office for my chiropractic needs.

Dr. Osborne and his team have a wonderful office located next to Alderwood Mall. The office has an inviting feel to it, is clean and welcoming. The office staff is friendly and take the time to communicate and explain processes and policies to you. Although scheduling was difficult when using a LivingSocial voucher, the office was very helpful and flexible.
Dr. Osborne took a good amount of time during my adjustment and made sure I was feeling my best when I left his office. There was no pressure to purchase additional sessions, only a simple providing knowledge in what was offered. The equipment and room used is modern and clean. It is very clear from this visit he cares about his patients health and that they will feel better verses seeing patients as a source of revenue as I have experienced elsewhere.
The massage was a wonderful treat. The massage was a area focus massage (by request) and the therapist wasted no time in ensuring that I would benefit from the massage as much as possible.
