This is by far the best locksmith I have ever gone to. Since I moved up to the area a number of years ago I have always used Lynnwood Key & Lock for duplicate keys. A few months ago the tumblers for my Toyota Camry ignition went bad. I pulled my ignition, brought it in and within two hours it was as good as new for an outstanding price. Just this weekend I brought my trunk lock in when the tumblers went bad in this lock as well. Once again not only was my lock repaired very quickly the locksmith also cut a key that worked better than the original from Toyota that I just had cut from their code. I strongly recommend this locksmith.

I’ve been coming here for about two decades. It’s the only place I’ll get my keys made (if I can help it). They can do most keys, but not all (e.g. keys for some car models). A few times I had to go elsewhere and much of the time I would have issues with the keys not working, but not here. 99.99% of my keys made here works! Quick and good, friendly service.

I bought a new electronic lock set for our front door that also has the option of using a key. I wanted to have it keyed to fit our existing keys. It’s nearly impossible to find a locksmith shop anymore, only mobile. I dropped in, explained what I needed, popped a couple doors down for a quick haircut, and bam, it was done when I came back. He made sure I knew how to use the key feature of the new lock set, and I was on my way for just over $ 12. Heck yes I’ll be back!

Gene is the man. He’s great at what he does and has great advice to boot. A «hole in the wall» shop next to Fred Meyer, but a heck of a lot more capable than any box store out there. I took a deadbolt and door handle in to have rekeyed. He had both rekeyed with 5 keys made in under 10 minutes and for around $ 30 total. Cheaper than new locks, and done right the first time with no hassle. Gene will be my go to lock and key man from now on.

I could not believe how easy it was to get a key here. It took almost no time or effort — so quick to get in and out.
And all the keys work! I have had such terrible experience at other places when the key doesnt actually end up working, but I got 3 keys made here and they all work fantastically :)

Wonderful result, so easy. I’ve been going by this place for close to 10 years because we shop at the Fred Meyer and I’m glad I remembered he was there.
I had a key broken off in the lock of my car top cargo box. I was so annoyed at myself when I did it but this guy totally rescued me. He’s not just a key cutter, he’s a locksmith. Took maybe 3 minutes for him to have the broken key out. Another 3 to cut a new backup key. All it cost me was $ 8, TOTAL, including the key removal service. I am sure a mobile service would have cost me $ 50 or more.
Great local business, probably a sole proprietor, owner operator.

The guy that works here (Gene probably) is so nice. I’ve only needed to get keys cut from here, but both times I was helped quickly and treated with respect. Both times I’ve gotten them I’ve been stressed out about getting there on time and/​or because of the situation in general, and he always puts me at ease because of his calm and collected demeanor– I really appreciate that.
Don’t know much about price comparison since I’ve done only one thing, but they seem like a well-​respected business.
I just wish they were open on Sundays, but hey, everyone needs days off!

I don’t know what the prices are at the competition, because for things like like lock service and the other things these guys offer, I don’t really have the patience to shop around very much. I will say that the nicest locksmith in town works here, he has good experience, and he’s very helpful. I have no qualms about bringing my business to this place.
I came in here to have a key copied, and it took seconds, and cost just a couple bucks. Very convenient and handy to have these guys here.

I was referred to see Gene from Eric at Brody’s (see my review there).
Very knowledgeable and honest! The only solution that he had for me was an entire new lock cylinder assembly… that would cost me $ 200, even though only 2 tiny parts of it were missing (a spring and a latch). He refers me to Astro Locksmith, because they specialize in vehicles.
To hear someone refer business to someone that would sound like competition (one locksmith referring someone to another locksmith) was unusual. Gene is definitely one of the most honest businessmen in the area!
Also, I saw him chop up like 3 copies of keys for a couple that came in. It only took a few minutes and costed them like $ 4! Sure sounds inexpensive!

We were referred to Gene at Lynnwood Key & Lock by our local hardware store. We just purchased a new condo and wanted to re-​key the front door. Gene instructed me on how to remove the lock mechanism from my door so that I could bring it into his shop. He was very friendly and even apologized about the cost of our unique key. We went next door for a cup of coffee and came back to pick up our six new keys, right on time. I thought the price was very reasonable, much less than I had budgeted to have a locksmith come to the house and every key works perfectly. When we got home, I noticed our original key had his stamp on it as well. Very nice to keep it close to home.
