They are getting 2 star only for the fact that the store is clean and has a variety of items. Other then that I gave them 3 chances. First time was ok. Second time half of my stuff were not documented and accounted for. After awhile I give them a third chance. I brought a practically almost new stuff not a lot but expensive when I bought them. So for some reason I did received they voice massage 8 days later and they do not have my stuff. It is a day latter they told me after their 7 days wait period and they can not tell me where my stuff are. I have a loss on my end :(. I have been told also that they do not call people any more for picking up staff. Too busy, they say. Well my time is precious too and I as a full time mom also have a busy schedule. If you want me to honor your time and do all the things. Well I did eventually get my stuff back. However this will be my last time visiting there.

I have come to this shop to consign and buy a multiple times. They do have useful items and the prices are ok. Consigning however I think could be organized better, you do not get any information on what you are selling and what the sale price is. Also another aspect I do not like is that you have to go through the whole store and retrieve your items that are left over at the end of your consignment term, which they pull them to donate so why can’t they just pull the items for you as a courtesy for your business. I have also found the staff to be unfriendly and it seems like a problem to assist customers. They might have what your looking for, but you might find a better price through CL or offer up. As far as clothes they are priced decent and I would shop there again for that but I don’t like that they are not very friendly and other items are very overpriced.

The owner is rude and snarky. She practically growled at me when I asked her a question. Not a pleasant place to shop.

I’m honestly surprised at the reviews! When we moved home in January after finding out I was pregnant, we were on a limited budget until my fiancé and I were back to work. We started shopping here 6 months ago and haven’t left yet! We live in Bellevue now and I will still take the drive to Lynnwood.
Sure, the owner is a little more quiet natured but I’ve sparked a conversation with her quite a few times. Any time I have a question she will take the time out to answer.
The other employees customer service skills are so-​so but because I like the owner, the prices and most items I come back! This is why I knocked them down one star.

I’ve given hopscotch kids 3 chances now to try and sway me into enjoying their store and again I left disappointed. Every time I walk in there, I am blatantly ignored by all the employees. I’m not one who likes to chat it up with staff, but if I’m walking into your establishment to potentially drop money, you could AT LEAST greet me?! I even purchased something once, and the lady behind the counter was more concerned with talking to her fellow employee than help me (she did my transaction in almost silence). The clothes here aren’t even nice, so there is definitely no reason to come back. I’d rather take my money to a store that teaches its employees what customer service is. I’ll be sure to mention to my other mom friends that they should probably do the same.

I love this store! I take a LOT of my old baby and kid stuff here and then use the credit to get whatever I need at the moment. This story has a large inventory and it is all very well-​organized. The prices are higher than Goodwill but much less than retail. I like having an option that is nicer, cleaner and better-​organized than a thrift shop but that isn’t a big-​box store. I’m grateful for this great community resource!

Great consignment shop! They are always busy pricing and putting inventory on the floor, which is great for both shoppers and consigners! The store is always neat and organized, impressive for how busy they always are at the counter. You can find some great deals if you regularly check in here.

I’ve bought several items here and consigned quite a bit of my daughter’s clothing, but I’ve also brought at least 3 items that I’ve bought there, brought those same items back in to consign, all of which my daughter never wore, and they wouldn’t take them on consignment. Which makes no sense since they were the exact same items I’d purchased.
We also bought a power wheel car and when we got home and charged the battery it would not work. I called and was told I could not return it as all sales were final and that it had worked when they tested it. I explained that I had just purchased it a day prior and they were unaccommodating. After more complaining more they offered me a $ 25 credit even though a new battery cost $ 60! Had I not been persistent they would not have done anything for me.
I’ll never shop or consign there again.

**DO NOT CONSIGN HERE!** My items were not all documented and accounted for :(so I really lost out! Really disappointed in the customer service! The owner especially is just awful to deal with, other staff members have been OKAY just clearly lacking retail experience. Also, pricing is very hit or miss. I have witnessed cash sales «under the counter» where it wasn’t rang in through the register just a quick negotiation and money into the owners pocket right in front of my eyes so THAT IS HOW PEOPLES ITEMS GO MISSING. That made me so mad after I had already experienced having missing items here myself. I have no desire to spend my money at a shop that mistreats their customers.

This place is very clean and well organized with a good selection of clothes, shoes and baby gear. But I’m giving it 2 stars because the owner knows nothing of customer service, I had to say hello to her when I walked in and she pretty much ignored me… I tried making a point by asking if she owned the store and when she replied that she did I was extremely disappointed because she was so uninviting. Customer service is a very big deal to me, especially when I’m shopping. Also, items are a little overpriced. A pair of VERY used toddler Toms were $ 10.00. I find wayyyyy better deals and cleaner quality at Value Village and Goodwill (maybe I’m just picky?). I don’t see myself going back there unless I desperately need something I can’t find anywhere else.

This is my very favorite kids consignment store! The staff & owner are helpful, very nice, and even remember my name now. I always find good clothing, and usually furniture too. Also great selection of maternity clothing! The prices are lower than most of the other kids consignment stores I’ve been to, but with great quality control. The toy section makes me really look forward to when my little is more into toys, and can pick out things she wants to play with! Just an all around great store!

I love this place! Before having a baby, I was always a bit wary of consignment stores. I wasn’t sure of the quality and cleanliness of the items. And then I found Hopskotch! This place is great. All of their toys and clothes are in excellent condition and so clean. The store is well organized, not cluttered, and they have some really cute clothes! I’m a pretty picky person, and everytime I’ve gone here I’ve found some clothes for my daughter that were so adorable and impossible to resist. Since finding some cute clothes for her, I’ve returned to Hopskotch to find other baby items I needed like strollers, bouncers, etc, and they always have a great selection. I have also always experienced good customer service here (I have never had any issues, but haven’t seen it be exceptional either). This place has saved me a ton of money, and I plan to shop here as my daughter grows up to find her some adorable finds at a great price! Thank you, Hopskotch!
p. s. not sure about the bathroom issue noted an earlier review. That does seem odd to not offer a bathroom for a business who sells children’s items. I was just there a few weeks ago, and my baby had a blow out, and I asked if they had a bathroom with a changing table and they told me there’s one in the back. They had a nice changing table near the bathroom entrance, which I found very helpful.

Wow all these reviews were quite shocking to me! I’ve been consigning at this location since it was the other name (moms and me or something) Anyways, the girls in the shop are constantly busy this store is well organized and has great stuff! I’m sure they have to go through loads and loads of crap every day. Considering this I think they are very helpful. I always have questions about my store credit and how much they think is out on the floor of my stuff and where are the adorable nerdy Christmas sweaters for 9 month old boys and they always help me– no they are not overly bubbly but they also don’t try to sell me things like at other retailers, which really bugs me. I can come in, ask my questions drop off my new bag of clothes and get some awesome new adorable ones. Here is some advise for the nay sayers– pre screen before u give it to them because why would you try to sell something that you wouldn’t buy yourself… That is gross, and rude. If it’s out of season they can’t sell it either so just save the small bag of out of season things you have till next year and give it to them then! Every time I go in I am happily surprised at my awesome store credit that I then in turn get adorable new wardrobes for my littles! Bottom line. This place is super efficient and an awesome place I find great clothes! I mean come on a Janie and jack sweater for 4 $ !!! How can you complain about that???

I have to agree w the other reviews regarding the owner, and even her staff, half of the time. The customer service is the worst thing about this place. I have been consigning here for years, they are pretty picky about what they accept (which is good for the shopper), and I usually find something when I shop there. I’d give this place 4 stars IF the customer service was better.

I have been coming here for a few years now. After having 4 children I have a lot to consign and while it is quiet a drive from where I live I make the drive to come here. They have a HUGE selection of clothes, while I agree some of the clothing I feel like was less then loved I don’t have to buy it so that does bother me. I usually can find 2 – 3 pieces I have to have in each child’s sizes. Our children range from 3 to 11– even my kids love coming her to check out everything. I personally consign mostly clothing– all brand names Gap, Gymboree, Old Navy & Polo. I also find those brands all through out the store. I also LOVE their Melissa & Doug selection.
As for the comments on customer service that others have talked about I will agree it’s hit or miss. I have noticed they are extremely busy consigning the last few times I’ve showed up now. They no longer make appointments for consigning instead they are just doing drop ins– honestly it’s drop offs though because they have that many things to go through. Many times they have at least 4 drop offs ahead of me. I’m giving the store 4 stars because I have been in customer service before & I agree with others they are lacking a bit. My big complaint is they often times have only 1 employee working and with so many drop offs for consignment it is very hard for that 1 person to focus on helping people at the same time she is trying to go through everything. I think I would give the place 5 stars if they consistently had 2 people working. 1 for consigning & the other to float the store & ring people up. I think that alone would increase the stars everyone gives.
I am business owner also so I know how hard it is to «make it» but we are 20yrs in & you have to be willing to make improvements occasionally to stay in business.

Okay so to start I see a few people have left bad reviews on here so Im going to give my honest opinion on this place, HOPSKOTCH kids which is the new name. I currently consign my small amount of items there. They are in fact very picky about what they take in but that in turn makes shopping there more fun. Every time I eat at Mongolian grill next door (which is weekly) I run next door and look through their racks. I always find something I MUST have. I have found a ton of high end girls clothing for a really good price. Yes, occasionally there is the over priced item. You find over priced items at Value Village as well. Some days the staff seems grumpy and then some days they seem super friendly and helpful. Most of the time customer service means a great deal to me but this store has a lot of great items at a bargain price. Obviously the owner knows what she is doing. I have been selling everything she takes from my stash :) I mostly use store credit as well because I am constantly trying to find an excuse to buy whatever the newest MUST HAVE is in this great store. Yes you can find some cheaper clothes at old Navy but its much better for the environment to recycle clothing. All my kids clothing I’ve bought this year has come from Hopskotch kids. They have so much in their store but it remains so clean and organized. If you are looking for friendly small town service then go elsewhere and cry about it: P If you are looking for great deals on adorable clothes and more, go to Hopskotch kids! Oh and if you have nice, like new items to sell hurry in because I might have store credit to buy them with ;)

I usually like this place (maybe a new owner?) Got cute shoes once. Staff was great… until I got today a glimpse of the owner. It was an HOUR before closing and she was frazzled… seemed to want to push people out of the store quickly. I asked for the restroom and she ran toward the back of the room to get something just pointing in a general direction (no eye contact, no smile, no greeting… I was one of 2 people in the store). Not good customer service for a tiny business that should be THRIVING on it. Owning a small business is VERY DIFFICULT and EVERY encounter with a customer is ESSENTIAL (esp since there were only 2 – 3 of us in the store). Then a gal came to the counter wanting to consign. She said «no…not at this time» (it was an hour before closing) The gal asked if she could make an appointment and the owner said «we don’t do that anymore… since no one ever shows up for appointments»…The customer then mentioned even that she had come a long way. And the owner still declined. Now… it got me thinking… like 100% of her customers, we have CHILDREN (usually YOUNG CHILDREN)…when two women are in the store with NO CHILDREN it is a very meaningful time. And to that owner… When we come without children we are ready to spend LOTS OF MONEY. At least I was, and after hearing the service she gave that poor gal, I promptly hung up the items I was going to purchase and left the store myself. That lady also more than likely (like me) snuck outa the house today leaving a zoo of children at home with the hubby to go shopping. Or in her case, to consign. It saddened me to think that she came all that way for nothing. The customer service today from the owner herself was similar to a woman going in to get her car repair… no understanding of who her customers are and their needs. This is the number one way you’ll get me to throw $ 100-​$ 200 to your small business… and you failed me.
PS…To the owner… you might need to do a little soul searching and business planning. There are news kid oriented businesses in your neighborhood (an AWESOME play café across the street)…so you’re likely to get more traffic… which also means you’ll get more Unilocal reviews. The owner is very rude and obviously does not value her customers. These people claim they test the electronic products. They don’t. The wipe warmer I bought did not work and had several broken pieces to it (that were hidden because they had taped the lid closed. & of course, no refunds! Waste of time and 10 $.
I have also been in there and overhead a conversation between a consignee and the owner… they had «lost» her stuff and basically the woman was SOL.
Even though this place ls close to me, I will always pick another place to shop if I need something.
