Just about every time I come here I order the same thing. Chicken tenders. I’ve had to complain many times about greasy cold chicken. This time I watched how they make it. They take some chicken that’s been sitting in a warmer for who knows how long and put it back in the deep fryer to warm it up. It always comes out double greasy because the batter falls off the outside from the workers service tongs before they put it in the fryer and the grease gets absorbed throughout the chicken. The outer shells to protect it from grease. Next time u order watch them. I’ve sent it back before and they made we wait over 30minutes until the rush had stopped b4 serving me. This place has horribly cold greasy food most of time unless you get lucky. It’s like getting a hot burger from McDonald’s doesn’t happen very often

I came in and ordered at 6:57pm. I must say the crew on this shift were fantastic under pressure(large customer volume). Even the cooks in the back were all smiles. That’s when you know people are having a good time at work. Our food was delivered promptly to us, a surprise as we thought we needed to come up to grab the food(especially since the line was out the door). Good food, get the spicy chicken!

Ordered and paid for a 3 piece meal combo with cole slaw and fries to go only to find out they gave me a 2 piece without the cole slaw. Seriously? Used to be my favorite fries chicken place, not anymore.

My favorite Fried Chicken place in the Seattle area. The spicy chicken is awesome. Perfect kick. The slaw is good and the mac & cheese has that true Southern flavor. You’ll never settle for KFC again.

My first time trying Ezells chicken. It was great! The friendiness, courtesy, and helpfulness by staff member Julie was AWESOME! Thank you so much Julie, for making your attention to detail a priority! I seldom sees in a fast food resturant! We will be back!

Not sure why we keep coming back to this place, the help here are pretty much near worthless, hence the 3 stars, really 2.5… I’ll spare everyone the gorey details. Oh, I know why I keep coming back, because this stuff is like CRACK, but in a good way. YOU must get the SPICY, why? Because, «He who controls the Spice, controls the universe!» It’s not über spicy, I’d say more flavorful, sides are more«meh» than a «must get» in a pinch the slaw is the better of the sides, I’m not a huge fan of the mashed pots or the gravy, mac’n cheese is just okay. Rolls are outstanding, think of King’s Hawaiian bread, but a tad less sweet. Really the help here is the down side, but I’ve found that with all of these locations.

I’ve been an Ezells customer for over 10 years now since they had the old location in Lynnwood. Came in around 8 pm to take some food to go. The cashier was super nice and friendly. I recommend looking at the menu online beforehand since there’s so many items and combo options on the menu. 3 stars because the mashed potatoes had a powdery, from-the-box texture and I ordered and payed for a 4 piece chicken combo with all spicy chicken. After waiting 10 mins for my order, they called my number not to say my order was ready but to say they ran out of spicy chicken. Disappointing and should have been communicated with the cashier.

For a place so talked up, I was very disappointed. I got original chicken white, mashed potatoes, fried okra spicy, coleslaw. The chicken had little flavor and crunch. Meat had good flavor, but not alot of meat on the bones. The mashed potatoes were bland. Gravy was good. Coleslaw was great. Fried okra was a big let down. Must have gotten left overs for they were cold and soggy. None of that okra crunch. Overall, I could have just got to KFC across the street for the same results.

This place is easily one of our go-to spots for lunch at work. We normally call in for everyone’s order and then do a quick pick up. We’ve never had any problems until today when we did a normal work lunch call in for take out. The customer service that I received was so rude and don’t understand as to why this young girl was acting a certain way. Before leaving I noticed that there were mix ups on the orders. Originally we had ordered one mac n’ cheese and two mash potatoes. What we actually got was two mac n’ cheese and one mash potatoes. I then let the lady know(who had given all the food to me) about the mistake they had made. I went to go hand her the extra mac n’ cheese back in exchange for a mash potatoes and her response was«No you had already touched it» in a disgusting-type rude voice. Then she rudely gave me the mash potatoes. She literally came off so disrespectful and the way she said«no» to me and that I had already touched them, made it seem like she thought I was dirty or something. I literally touched the container to hand it to her and that’s all? Seriously I have never received such poor and rude customer service here. The name on all the receipts were«Sherry» stated as the server, but not sure if that was the name of the lady who I had this poor experience with. On top of that we got a couple complaints from those who had order. We were missing a couple food items that were charged but never received in their individual bag. It was a peach cobbler and some Cajun fries. Such a disappointment on top of the rude customer service I received at the location. It’ll be awhile till the next time we order from this Ezell’s.

I went here after work for my fried chicken fix. I’ve been going to the kfc next door for awhile but heaven sent fried chicken has always treated me good. I got their 4 wings special and got half spicy half original. The originals were alright. It lacked a great deal of flavor and seasoning but there was so much white meat that I think it’s worth it. The spicy on the other hand was perfect! I will definitely be back for the spicy chicken.

Date of service: Feb 20, 2015 Meal: Dinner, take out All Ratings out of 10: Quality of food: 5 Food to Spend Value: 4 Quality of Service: 6 Overall Rating: 5 Growing up in the South I LOVE fried chicken. In fact I think I could eat it every day barring the fact that I love too many other kinds of food, and then there’s the whole thing about it not being all that healthy. Still, I crave it pretty regularly, but finding really good fried chicken is challenging in the Pacific NW. I have my favorite grocery store delis which are sufficient(though not amazing), but after hearing so many people rave about Ezell’s I decided to pick some stuff up for dinner. The first thing that amazed me was how expensive their chicken and sides were. This just made me hope that it really was as good as everyone has said. I decided to order an 8 piece dinner, half spicy and half not, with BBQ baked beans and mac & cheese. It also came with rolls. $ 25 after sales tax came as a shock, but I drove home excited to try it out. I will start with the chicken. It is quite good. The batter is done very well, with a nice crisp and decent flavor, though I didn’t find the flavor world changing or anything. The spicy wasn’t actually very spicy, but it still tasted good. I also enjoyed the rolls, but they were a bit of a letdown after the hype. The sides on the other hand are a different story. I didn’t think a place could make KFC’s sides seem gourmet, but Ezell’s has accomplished just that. The BBQ beans may be the worst BBQ beans I have ever had. They tasted like ketchup and had no other flavor profile to speak of. Bush’s beans in the can from the grocery are infinitely better. The mac and cheese was super bland. My kids love mac and cheese but tend to favor simpler flavor profiles for it, so I thought they might like it. Even they found it not to be very tasty. I was completely floored by how bad the sides were. Ezell’s was an extreme mixed bag for me. If I were rating them on chicken alone, I would be tempted to go 4 stars. However, I have to rate the complete experience, and the atrocity of their sides drags the score way down. The price doesn’t help either as they are extremely expensive. The minimal amount of service I had placing a to go order was fine, but nothing that would move the needle. On my 10 point scale they only get a 5, but due to the chicken being quite good I will round them up to a 3 on Unilocal.I may go again, but the only thing I order will be the chicken, and I will keep at least one eye closed when the price pops up on the register.

Years ago the Ezells on the way to Edmonds was simply terrible… Horrible staff, horrible food. NOW though they’ve fixed it! Chicken is hot fresh and excellent, Gizzards cooked to order, rolls that are perfect! It’s not health food, but it’s good food! Highly recommended if fried chicken is the answer!

I always order to go. Love love this place! The only fried chicken I fancy when I want something greasy and unhealthy in a good way. It is magically delicious!(Lucky Charms) haha This is the place for fried chicken. My favorite here? Their dinner rolls baby! It’s nice and soft, perfect size, and just enough sweetness! Fried okras anyone? It’s the bomb! Yes i said it! So good… everything is good at this famous chicken place.

The Line was long. But its Ezell’s. So the wait is worth it. They work surprisingly fast. The chicken is the best in the area. I love the rolls and the coleslaw. If you havent stopped in yet. I recommend it. They even have Chicken Gizzards if you are so enclined.

This location is nice! Dine in or take out. The manager is a peach! Super outgoing and friendly. I really enjoyed the vibe — the music– the staff and even the other customers. But the food? The chicken is cooked to perfection. I peel the bread and skin off for the most part. Theirs is a lot less salty than other places — and I like that a lot. The mashed potatoes and gravy are good. The corn is good. Sweet potato pie is good. 24 piece full dinner is 50.00 with tax and? That is two full meals for a family of five — which is a good value in my opinion!

I love grabbing some take out from here every so often. The chicken is always so good! The boyfriend loves the chicken tenders and mac and cheese — I am all about the spicy fried chicken thighs or drumsticks and maybe some mashed potatoes. The chicken is ALWAYS great — the sides are a little hit or miss… Creamy slaw is a little too creamy for my tastes. The fries and onion rings were limp and kind of soggy(surprising since the chicken always has such a great crunch to it!) One night I went in about an hour before close, and they were out of the mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, and potato salad(also very creamy). I was super bummed, and that was the night I tried out the fries. The seasoning was good, but I would have rather had the other sides since the fries were rather disappointing. I did try out the peach cobbler recently, and oh yeah, totally awesome! I heated it up a little(don’t do it in the container they give you!!), and if I had had a scoop of vanilla ice cream or maybe some whipped cream… man it would have been absolute perfection! All in all — this is the only fried chicken place for me! Local — check! Spicy option — check! Satisfies both me and the boyfriend — check! Chick-Fil-A and KFC are not an option if there is an Ezell’s nearby!

Holy smokes! Have I visited an Ezell’s in a parallel universe? I haven’t been to one since they moved out of Edmonds. I was in Lynnwood the other day and thought I’d treat myself to some spicy wings and Chicken livers. I walk in and what do I find??? A beautiful clean restaurant, SEATING, attentive workers that actually want to be there, a bigger menu with salads, and no handwritten signs giving you all the rules of the store(written by the chicken nazi I assume). I also found that the chicken is just as delicious as I remember(although the livers could’ve used more seasoning… but still good). Thank you Ezell’s for rebuilding my faith in your restaurant.

Mmm, fried chicken, fly vixen /Give me heart disease but need you in my kitchen. Do I really need to say more?! I love Ezells. Been to most of their locations and every time it’s been on point. SPICYSTRIPS. *Drizzy voice* best I ever had, best I ever had. Ugh nothing can compare and I grew up on chicken strips. It’s so addicting… crispy, tender, peppered, fluffy, with a kick, and pause barely greasy. Combo deals. Glad they’re opening up more locations. Usually do takeout, but this one has plenty of seating.

When I crave fried chicken, I don’t think ‘mmm KFC’, I think ‘I WANTEZELLS’.(funny because KFC is next door). I’ve been to the Renton and Woodinville locations before, but I finally went to this location in Lynnwood. There’s a seating area so if you cannot wait to devour your food, you can station inside and munch away. The chicken was bomb – the skin was crispy, and the meat was not dry but juicy. Both the original and spicy are great. I think I am okay with ordering original all the time though. That’s unfortunate that visitors has experienced crappy service because my service was just fine. I encountered nice and friendly workers.
