Dick Howard & Sons Electric

I was referred to this electrical contractor from someone at my wife’s workplace, so I contacted them for an electrical bid. The owner, Dick, came out and bid the job himself, although he stated that one of his electricians would do the actual work.
I needed a dedicated circuit wired to two of my bathrooms so the breakers wouldn’t trip when the hair dryer is turned on. The home was built in the 70’s and all the bedrooms and baths seemed to share one breaker! I also had some other minor electrical sleuthing that needed to be done.
Dick provided me a bid for the circuit run and also told me that the other electrical work would be on an hourly basis. I was fine with this.
The electrician (I think his name was Jeff?) showed up on time, was congenial, and was happy to explain everything that he was doing. The circuit job took a bit longer than estimated due to unforeseen circumstances, and the electrician ran out of time and couldn’t do the sleuthing on the same day but offered to come back at a later date with me having to pay a trip charge. He did come back and complete the work I needed done. He even wore shoe booties to protect my floors.
Bottom line: I am very satisfied with the work completed by this company and would hire them again if I needed more electrical work done.

A contractor company doing construction work hired this electrician to look at an issue that arose after the contractor company did some work. The electrician told the contractor company a different story of what the issue was versus what he told me. Lack of honesty makes a business reputation go down the drain, and I would not recommended this company over a lack of integrity. I wondered why this company didn’t have any reviews on google or Unilocal.Now they have one review for him…

I would give this company a zero if Unilocal allowed.
My first appointment was cancelled so the worker could go to a Seahawk’s game.
My second appointment was cancelled a week later for no apparent reason. Luckily, I called about 30 mins before the appointment to verify he was coming and he basically said «No».
I have tenants without a working baseboard heater. I need it replaced or my tenants have the right to not pay their rent. This company has the potential to cost me over $ 1000. Absolutely unacceptable and COMPLETELY unprofessional.
Use any other company. period.
