Bellevue Rare Coins

I’ve only gone here a few times, mostly just to see how much an item could be appraised at and each time the guys there have been very courteous, professional and upfront. I never felt like they were low balling me and I trusted what they had to say. Sometimes the wait time is a bit much during their busy times but even then once they got to me, they still seemed energetic towards whatever I had. If I ever decide to sell any of my heirlooms, I would go back to them.

I had a couple of older gold jewelry pieces that I never wore and were out of style, that I wanted to get rid of, along with a couple of inherited items that I wasn’t sure about selling. I visited this spot mid-​week in the early afternoon and was able to meet with Frank after just a couple minutes wait time. Frank was great, very friendly and took time to talk with me. One of the inherited items I took in was an old pocket watch that had never worked but belonged to my great grandmother. He was able to give me details about the watch and with just a tiny bit of tinkering he got it working. He then showed me how to gently wind it and care for it and gave me some history about it. I decided not to sell it as it’s monetary value was low compared to the sentimental value. By taking his time and telling me about the watch Frank reignited my connection to the piece and I was excited to take it home and display it in my home. This was a great experience!

After hearing all of the commercials on the radio, I took a piece of jewelry into Bellevue Rare Coins to get an estimate on its worth. First, the employee who helped me was very friendly and performed the appraisal quickly. He was able to help me out right away. He examined the jewelry as well as the associated paperwork I had on the piece. The offer made for my piece of jewelry I felt was very low, however, and I decided to hold off on selling the piece of jewelry. After reading another review, I went to Northgate Rare Coins & Precious Metals. The offer I received at Northgate was twice the offer that was made at Bellevue Rare Coins.

This place was great! I was in and out within 15 minutes. The staff was really welcoming, and offered about twice as much as I was expecting for an engagement ring. I would definitely come back here again!

The wait time was about 40 minutes (Thursday afternoon), the employee I dealt with was very informative and upfront, and from what I overheard from other patrons’ conversations, that should be expected from the entire staff. I’d recommend the shop if you’re a buyer, but I got quoted base melt and carat value (3.2% of insurance appraisal for reference) for a 1930’s, small carat, platinum estate ring so I wouldn’t point you in this direction if you’re a seller of something similar.
Overall nice shop, I’d definitely go back to buy, but not again to sell.

I went to the store to get my gold items appraised and was very impressed with the time it took to get a quote and the expertise of the employees in the store. It was quick and painless.
Even though I made an appointment the store was able to accommodate me a full 30 mins ahead of schedule. It didn’t take more than 20 mins to finish the transaction.
I recommend you sell to them over a Pawn Shop. Their jewelry selection was gorgeous and well priced. The have diamonds and gemstones. Good alternative to traditional jewelers.

This is my favorite local coin store now. It’s great having someplace local to buy and look at coins. I stop by about every two weeks.
Hours are good. Staff is friendly. Parking is never a problem. Store is clean and nice. Good selection too.

Came in to ask a few questions about my grandmother’s collection. Dark haired employee named John told me they were worthless and basically insulted me. Had them correctly appraised in everett.

My husband and I recently stopped by with a very large mixed bag full of stuff to get checked out. Daniel was so patient and helpful as he went through every single penny looking closely and sorting it all out. He offered us valuable information and you could tell he has been doing this is entire life, so easy and effortless. His family was there with lunch for him and he still didn’t rush through, he gave us is full attention until he was done. We had to wait awhile to be seen as they were quite busy (and on an early Monday afternoon!) but the waiting area was comfortable and clean and had great energy. I will definitely be back and recommend this business for their honesty & their integrity.

Bellevue Rare Coins provides personable service and has knowledgeable staff. I recently sold a lot of «silver» dollar coins to them and they took the time to explain what to look for and made for a fun learning experience. The coins were not valuable (As also confirmed by several websites) but they still purchased them at fair market value and explained they would sell them together to make a little profit (which every business of course should do). The staff here is outstanding and I would trust them 100% with any future transactions and refer them to friends. Highly recommend this great shop.

Great prices on American Silver Eagles, lowest premium around I’ve found. Service was fast and friendly. Looks like this place could get busy, they have a «take a number» system but I was able to walk in and out in under 10 minutes. I will defiantly be back

Sometimes I come in on my days off to look around. Taylor, Daniel and Gene are always a great help. They’re super helpful.
I’ve had great conversations in this store, mainly with Taylor, about milky maples, thorium, or ‘friends giving.’ I challenge you to pick these guys’ brains about anything coin. Taylor once wrote me a list of U.S. coins by date that contain 90% silver. Very useful yellow paper.
I once brought in two fifty cent pieces someone used at the store. Worth $ 1? Nope. 90% 1962 JFKs. $ 12 each.
Cool, smart, friendly guys.
Now if only I can make pure carbon in my microwave into a diamond…(insert evil dracula laugh here).

I recently went to the Lynnwood branch of Bellevue Rare Coins. I read other reviews on Unilocal and felt secure in taking some old coins in to see what they would buy them for. I did my research in advance so I would have an idea of what they were talking about when they looked at the coins.
In the reviews I read, it sounded like Gene was the man to see. He was not working when I went in. I was greeted by a young guy named Troy. Don’t assume a younger guy won’t know his stuff when you meet him, cause Troy really does. He was very friendly, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. He easily explained what he was looking at with my coins, what they were valued by, and why. He even has a great amount of historical insight which was impressive. They have a daily market value board so you can see what to expect.
Troy did a great job helping me, offered a very fair purchase price, and sent me out with cash in hand. I would recommend Bellevue Rare Coin and Troy wholeheartedly.

I took in a mixed bag of stuff I had kept for no reason. I took a number and was helped right away by Gene. Another customer commented to me that «Gene’s great.» Well, she wasn’t kidding. I left with some unexpected cash and a ring I planned on selling. I thought I would get a higher offer on the ring, but Gene was honest and kind enough of advise me to sell it myself or through consignment telling me it was a «nice piece of jewelry.» Working with someone so friendly, knowledgeable, and honest made it a great experience. If you have anything laying around take it to BRC. You never know what it’s worth until you ask.

I had brought my mom into the store because she is looking to sell her diamond ring. We thought heck if we are going maybe we would bring a few other pieces of jewelry to see what they are worth. From their commercials, they say bring your items in, get a free appraisal and then we will make an offer. Don’t get me wrong the guy who was helped us was very nice but only gave us the price for what he would pay us for them. I thought we would receive that actually amount each piece is worth. This just might be my misunderstanding. Next time I think I will go to a real jeweler.

I had some old jewelry that was rattling around my house, so I decided to see just what these guys were made of. Boy, was I impressed — when you walk in, the store is so very neat, tidy and classy. They even have water and snacks in which you can partake while you are waiting. They are commonly busy and you have to take a number and wait your turn. The good news about this is the surroundings are very pleasant, and there are quite a few things to look at. The people who work there are all very friendly, knowledgeable and they aren’t patronizing at all. I walked out of there with a decent chunk of change, and a really great experience. I would definitely recommend Bellevue Rare Coins to friends. Go here before you try to go to a pawn shop for your jewelry selling needs!

Went in and asked for a coin, they said they had it. I thought great! They needed to bring it from their other location. That’s fine, aside from the fact that it took about 2 weeks to do so. Either way, finally after the coins arrived they told me the price they quoted me just under three bucks above spot price for silver had changed. Okay, I can understand business and they need to make their money so I ask when they will have a price for me. He says they need to do research so about 2 business days. Alright, I’m okay with that. So I give a call a few days later and still they need more time, so I call a few days again after that and still no price, but wait I finally get a phone call back. They have a price, finally… oh wait after that long wait not only are they not charging 2.70 over silver spot price for these coins, they are charging $ 50 – 55 an once for the silver coins. Silver is just under $ 33 an once right now. Wow, what a huge WASTE OF TIME. I wait patiently for about 3 weeks only to find out that they are asking $ 20 – 25 MORE then the mint is selling these coins for in mint condition. The mint was selling them for 229.95 a coin and they were asking between 250 – 300 dollars per coin. What a joke. What yahoo would spend 20 – 70 dollars more on a coin they can get directly from the mint in MINT condition. This was a nice place, but unless you can get the product you want right away for a price that is quoted, well I wouldn’t hold my breath for them to come through on anything else.

Excellent service! I traded in some gold jewelry and left with about 5x more cash than expected!

I went in with some $ 1 and .50 cent coins totaling 7.50 and walked out with almost $ 200! Who knew I had some valuable coins.
They were honest, fair, and easy to work with. I was up front and honest about not being a coin expert, which was perfectly fine. I’ll be sure to go again!
