Lazy Dog Sports Bar

Awesome service, everyone was friendly and very quick. Food was delicious pub food and the beers were cold and delicious!

We have been in the Boston area for 3 days of our 7 day vacation. Our son picked this restaurant It was awesome! Cold beer and Fantastic bar food. We had burgers, grilled chicken sandwich, and sausage sandwich. All were great and the staff were extremely friendly. If your a tourist looking for an inexpensive dinner with the locals come here!

Steak tips were amazing. I got a side of baked beans, and ordered extra homemade cucumbers. We brought the whole family; we will be headed back soon!

I’ve been back a few times and had a wonderful experience.
The food… the food is AMAZING. Yes, it is pricey, but that is because the food is done with expertise. Typically I avoid daily specials as they are comprised of food the kitchen is trying to move, but that is not the case here. It is ordered fresh FOR the daily specials– what a novel idea! From the clam chowder (and I am picky with this item), to the steak tips, to the pork chops have all been superb and the sides are just as much a star as the main course.
The live music on Saturdays has a wide range and I have yet to be disappointed. I have not really been around late enough the other nights to comment on those activities.
Now to the reason I was not thrilled my first visit– the bartenders. With the exception of that first visit, I have since interacted with John, Scott, Christine, Everett and more and have been convinced it was either a bad day or just the specific bartenders my first night and since have had wonderful and interactive visits.

This is my go-​to place. The steak tip sandwich is great! Prices are good and the staff has always been very pleasant.

I’ve been in several times over the past couple of years… the steak tips are THE BEST I have ever had and I crave their butternut squash. The staff is great, and the place is clean, What more can you ask for? Always a good time.

You will not get any better food or service in the Greater Boston area period!!!

Thank you to all the staff at the Lazy Dog for helping with a great fundraiser on Sunday. We had a fabulous day and evening with the your customers and the excellent staff. Your staff were extremely nice and helpful and the quality of food is superb. While the Steak tips are outrageously tasty I heard from several others there was excellence to be found in the burgers as well. We also tried several appetizers which were all delightful. Thank you.

Horrible smell of natural gas inside when I went in. We had to leave the place. They have some type of gas leak there.

The hype is legitimate and, correspondingly, this is a fully legit bar. Its impossible not to be charmed by the plucky spirit of the place, which like the city itself is pushing back against negative preconceived notions of itself, and demonstrating to a resilient spirit representing itself in quality establishments opening up in the still down on its heels, but steadily rising municipality.
Much praise is due to the food here, and certainly in lager part for this place playing the biggest role in my begrudging acceptance of the local delicacy, steak tips, as a legitimate regional dish worth glorifying. The version here were quite likely the tastiest, and were perfectly melt in the mouth tender, marinated to perfection. They were also the most beautifully presented version I’ve ever been served hands down. The artful arrangement of the tips, along with the skewered vegetables that had been charred alongside them and a vibrantly colored rice pilaf (the dishes traditional side) would make any Japanese or Thai chef proud. Wings here are in a style I have seen elsewhere along these parts that I have dubbed «New England Style Buffalo». These wings are seemingly creamier with a correspondingly lighter color than the traditional buffalo version. While I didn’t love the wings here, i large part do to the oversized drumsticks they used, they were more than solid.
The crowd here is certainly interesting and representative of the distinctive melting pot that this self described «gateway city» is. Being a sports bar in New England, you never forget this fact for a second, but the crowd, and certainly the staff here proved to far friendlier than I would have ever imagined, and certainly well above the Icy New England mean. Karaōke here is a trip however, very very intense and not for the feint of heart, you’ve been warned.

Really love that I can walk here from my house. The food and service is always great. We love coming in on a week night with the kids, makes for a fast good dinner after a day of running around.

This is a really cool, quaint, basic sports bar with GREAT food coming from a wee kitchen. I assume they change up the menu regularly as it was posted from that day. I had the American Chop Suey pasta dish, and it was THE BOMB! Thre were a couple of other things I would’ve picked (e.g. Black Angus meatloaf, shepherd’s pie, or Cavatelli with their meatballs), but I went with the bartender’s recommendation – and he was dead on for that day. The service is friendly, introduces them selves and makes you feel at home when you’re a stranger. I WILL BE BACK!

Clean, great staff, great service, great food (best buffalo fingers around). Stump trivia on Tuesdays and Questionnairey on Wednesdays. Love it!

Great place for food and Drink! Been going here since it’s conception about 8+ years ago! Can’t go wrong!

Great tips, service and fun atmosphere! Local joint but welcoming! Bartenders are very attentive and move pretty quick!

The food was good got a cheese burger and fries and they were delicious. Another person got the steak tip salad and they said tips were good and the salad was fresh
Waitress could’ve been a little more attentive to us but other wise it was a good meal.

Walking into the Lazy Dog is like walking back in time — or is this place timeless? Decent burgers, decent steak-​tips, friendly service. The bathroom is kind of sketchy, but it adds to the charm…

I attended a Bids and Bites benefit auction at Lynn Museum last Saturday night and the Lazy Dog contributed their maple pot roast! OMG, it was out of this world. I can’t wait to go to the Lazy Dog and try out the rest of the menu. From the looks of these reviews, the steak tips are awesome as are many other things…
Hey, the place to go for some good food!!!

One of my favorite establishments in Lynn. I am partially glad it is not closer to my house, or I’d be here much more often.
The owner of the Lazy Dog owns other bars in Lynn and this is his prime gem. The employees here are great and the food is actually pretty dang good.
There are some things that can sour your experience here.
–Parking namely. On a Friday or Saturday night… the rear parking lot fills up. Even the parking lot in the bank across the street meets capacity. This isn’t the owner’s fault. He does well with the area he has.
–Small bar area which means limited seating. Any big game night or trivia night… if you don’t arrive early enough… enjoy standing.
I recommend this place to everyone. If I lived near by, I would be a regular. Instead, I’ll have to settle with venturing in once in a while or at least once a week.
