DO NOT USE THIS ROOFER. He did my roof in 2008 and it was supposedly guaranteed (for shingles and work). In 2012 there was a leak in the kitchen. I contacted him MANY times to try to get him to come back and look at the issue and fix it. I got one return phone call, but then he never showed up for the appointment. Then after months of leaving voicemails, no more returned calls. Finally, I had to contact someone else to fix it at my own expense. It cost $ 800 to repair on the exterior. Still waiting for estimates to fix the interior mold/​issues it caused. The contractor who fixed it let me know the leaks were a result of Chonko not installing flashing, instead of flashing he used liquid tar, which does a fair job but looses its seal as it heats and cools, as such flashing is required by code. So he basically did not do what I paid for and didn’t even do the job to legal standards. So now I’m sure I will have more issues in other sections of my roof as time continues and will either have to continue to pay $ 1K a pop or just redo my whole roof again when I paid for 30 year shingles and craftsmanship.
