AFC Doctors Express Urgent Care

I went here because my long term Dr retired. I live in the area and I have been sick with fever cold cough and laryngitis for a number of weeks. I read reviews so I thought I would get good care WRONG! Guess you cant believe everything you read. The receptionist was cold with no compassion. She told me I was wrong about t giving me change from the cash I paid her. I was not wrong. She never gave me change. I should have walked then. The assistant was ok. He took my history and I had 103 fever. high. The Dr was with me all of 2 minutes. He took a throat and nose swab. He said «If I cant figure out what you have go to emergency» Great answer from a Dr. 5 days later and no call. I called and some woman said the results were negative. Mind you I still have a fever and cough and I am all congested. I asked her why the Dr gave me antibiotics if he didnt know if it was viral or bacterial? She said he didint want whatever it is too get worse. WOW NEVER AGAIN. If you think this place is good you dont know a competent medical facility. Good Luck. My experience was TERRIBLE

I think its important to know that you CAN check in ahead online. Most of the urgent care places in the city accept walkins only. Here I had 4 people ahead of me that weren’t even there but checked in online. Nevertheless, I was still seen by a doctor within 20mins. I forget his name but he was very friendly and professional.

Prompt care. Love that you can make a reservation online. The doctors and staff are definitely competent (I’ve been here three times in less than 6 months). One doctor gave me a stern talking to because she felt like I was really sick because I was ignoring my symptoms trying to take care of everyone/​thing else in my life. She insisted I stay home from work for 2 days and when I was resistant to that she said I was being irresponsible and going to get everyone around me sick. Touché. The other Doctor I saw had a filthy lab coat and that just grossed me out.

Very impress with the service and quickness of the staff. The doctor was very informative and right to the point.

I went in Sunday morning last week because when I woke up my eye was swollen shut. I got there as soon as the office opened which was 8 am. The doctor was running late and didn’t show up to the office until 9am. By the time I went into the room it was about 915am and my eye was already a little bit better looking. The doctor came into the room and looked at my eye for about 2 seconds and told me I had pink eye, gave me pretty strong eye drops and sent me on my way. Thank god I didn’t use the drops because when I woke up the next morning my eye looked completely fine. I’m guessing I just got something in it the night before. If the doctor took any time at all with me she probably could have figured that out. I wouldn’t recommend going here.

I took my son here on a Sunday because his pediatrician was closed. Not only was the doctor fantastic, it was a quick and easy wait and we were happy with the results! So glad they are close to home

Highly recommended. Very well organized and fast check-​in. Only waited 7 minutes to be seen. Dr. Aghabi is a great doctor who diagnosed my influenza-​type B with a quick test. I thought it was the start of a sinus infection or bronchitis, but after checking me out, he ordered the test which confirmed his diagnosis. 5 stars for fast check-​in, great service, a thorough exam, and correct diagnosis. They sent a prescription to the local pharmacy and it was ready in a few minutes — prioritized because Doctors Express Urgent Care also called to make sure the medication, Tamiflu, was in stock. The entire process took less than 20 minutes from when I walked in the door. Thanks!

I have used Drs. Express for me and 3 of my daughters. I have to say we have had almost perfect experiences. Until one time. I had a horrible infection in my hand a few weeks back. Went in after registering online, and wound up waiting 2+ hours to be seen! The wait was so bad, the front desk was sending patients to other locations. After finally getting in the room, the doctor (whom I’ve never seen before), spent less than 5 minutes with me, no bandage, cleaning, nothing. I got a script for antibiotic and sent on my way… :(

Very easy check in, extremely helpful and nice staff, great doctors and quick service. What would one want more?

I have been here 3 times once for me twice for my wife. She said service was good she had no complaints. I visit them on 1÷31÷16 to get a shot after Shadow bit me. Shadow is a feral kitten we were feeding and house at work. The waiting area clean and comforting while filling out paperwork you can watch or listen to tv. The nurses were polite and pleasant the Doc asked all the appropriate questions.
I glad I wasn’t there for anything to serious but they seem well prepared to happen bigger situations. When my wife went she had blood work done I was there just for a vaccine. I wish they had the rabies vaccine but they didn’t. I’m not worry about having rabies or anything I did get a tetanus vaccination. They sent my prescription to Target’s pharmacy electronically I like that.
I will say the service was pleasing I will use them again in the future if need be. This isn’t a minute clinic it is your back up Doctor but can be your primary Doctor. If you are in need for some medical attention and if you can’t get to your doctor swing by. They are also a better answer than your local ER.

I was skeptical at first because I’ve read mixed reviews in the past, however, I wasn’t feeling well this morning and decided to try Doctor’s Express. (Especially after not having a great experience previously at a CVS minute clinic).
I was pleasantly surprised and glad I decided to go!!! Facility is clean, ample parking, easy check in. I was immediately welcomed by the young lady at the front desk — who was extremely friendly and quick with handling my check-​in. I apologize for not having learned her name because I would like to give her credit for being so nice and accommodating.
Within 15 minutes (there’s a great time table on the tv telling you you’re wait time and what number you are in the line of patients to be seen), I was taken into an exam room. The medical assistant Patricia was a sweetheart! She took my vitals and my information quickly. Asked all of the appropriate questions. A sample was taken in relation to my symptoms, and within about a minute Dr. Conte came in with my results and an explanation. I was given paper prescriptions, but when I arrived at my pharmacy I had learned they already put thru electronic prescriptions, so I barely had to wait for my medications.
I’m a nurse, so you could say I’m somewhat particular about the care that I receive. I also understand that often in the medical profession, people will complain rather than give their positive feedback. So I was compelled to write this review (which I rarely do on Unilocal).
I can’t express enough how pleasantly surprised I was with the entire experience!!! I was in and out in under a half hour. I will be going to Doctor’s express from now on for my urgent care needs and NOT the CVS clinics.

I never have to wait long. Staff are nice and helpful. Very convenient and great parking. The facilities are clean and modern. I love that they digitally transmit your prescription so there is less wait at the pharmacy.

Clean, pleasant, bright waiting room. Easy and quick to check in as a walk in. Short wait time with a clear indication of how long it would be. Lovely friendly nurse who assisted me. My prescription sent directly to my pharmacy and it was ready by the time I arrived. Overall, quick efficient and would definitely use the office again.

Extremely efficient and welcoming. Every doctor’s office should operate like this one. Plus, televisions in the examination rooms which make the already short wait time seem even quicker.

The place was nice and it was quick but I don’t think I was diagnosed properly.
The past week I have had a sore throat, runny nose, very weak, and achey back/​neck. the doctor told me I had post nasal drip and to take Claritin. Post nasal drip is not going to explain my weak aching body.
Doctor was very nice but I feel like I wasted time there.

I really liked the attention of the employees and the ability to manage appointments online. As for the doctors, the personal touch and putting my interests and wellbeing also stood out. I had to visit a similar facility that is a part of a big network and so far Doctors Express takes the cake.
As a conclusion, if you’re in need of medical attention, the guys and gals at Doctors Express will surely help you out.

I had to come visit the Doctor’s office a few days ago. I don’t usually use this office as my insurance is a co-​insurance so it causes high charges if I haven’t met my deductible yet. I also always forget that my insurance is weird at this location so … I called ahead Saturday morning and was told there no nearly no wait and that I could log in over the phone. I quickly grabbed an Über to the Urgent Care and was greeted by friendly staff. Since I was already in the computer I didn’t have to fill anything out. Within a few minutes they reminded me that my insurance was a co-​insurance and the fees I may have to pay to my insurance company.
I asked them to take me off the calendar and that I couldn’t afford to cover my deductibles. They looked slightly confused but not upset. I went across the way to the HomeGoods and called my insurance company to see what the cost would really be to me. I was told that the co-​insurance and deductible had been met for the year so the cost would very affordable.
I called back to the Doctor’s office and was put back onto the calendar. As I arrived there was now 2 or 3 people waiting so I checked in at the front desk and sat down. Within 5 or 10 minutes I was called in. At first a nurse took my vitals and asked some generic but targeting questions as to why I was there. Again very quickly as the nurse was nearly finished Dr. Aghabi walked into the room and began my exam.
Dr. Aghabi was nice and to the point. He asked questions, looked in the holes of my head with a pointy flashlight, asked a few more questions, and then diagnosed me. The Doctor was very pleasant and in a great mood.
I have been to this office a couple of times for myself and I have brought friends here as well. The visits are usually pretty quick and straight to the point. Kind of standard «Urgent Care» style treatment; not quite emergency room but still single serve Doctors. This facility is useful to me as my General Care Doctor is not local to me currently and he is not open 7 days a week.
I do recommend this place but as with any service make sure you know what your paying for before you take services. Some insurance companies are different this visit would have cost me 10 times as much if my deductible had not been met for the year already.

This place gets one star for 2 reasons. #1 they would not see me for a simple cut claiming i had to go to the ER. #2 whatever receptionist or aka medical aid they have answering the phones needs to rid herself of her ghetto accent and try to be polite no matter how much she hates her job.

Great place plenty of parking. Just difficult to find from the street there are no signs.
Visited Dr for myself and my son on same day. Clean quick and convenient. Full waiting room but we were still out in under 1 hr. Great place for urgent care needs and surprised they were willing to see my 2 yr old son. Having used urgent care before other places are a bit hesitant to see children so young.
If you get sick last minute or can’t get in with pcp or pediatrician Check them out they will even reserve your time and which will hold your place in line if you call ahead.
