In 1938, James Vander Giessen decided to make his favorite hobby a business and opened his backyard greenhouse to the public. Over 75 years later, Vander Giessen Nursery is in its 4th generation of family business and continues to serve Lynden and the greater Whatcom County area in the very same location it began.
