Peak Performance

Went there for physical therapy and training following total knee replacement surgery and was given great care. My trainer, David Albaranese, was exceptional, helping me strengthen not only my leg, but also developing a full exercise program that allowed me to accelerate my recovery. Cannot thank Dave and the entire Peak Performance staff enough.

Worst place ever. My daughter who has had several cervical spine surgeries. Was left to do exercises by herself which wasn’t explained to her by physical therapist but assistant. When she complained she was hurting and wanted to see physical therapist she was told that the therapist had paper work to do and to continue with these exercises. Well that night she spent in the ER. They offer spinal pt at the patients expense. I called and complained to the therapist with no call back. I should of called the state. The same thing also happened with my husband (I kid you not) he received surgery. I would not let them touch my dog. It is common knowledge when starting a new exercise especially with spines that they are evaluated by therapist who has a doctorate in physical therapy not an assistant. I also called them regarding this their response they sent me a bill. Guess where it is? In the garbage like there reputation is to
pain management Doctors cringe when they hear their name. physical therapy is a hands on profession, not at peak performance!!! They look for the dollar. Sending me a six dollar bill after what they did to two family members from neglect. I should send them the hospital bills as because of their obvious neglect and mismanagement two of my family members have been grievously hurt.

My experience with Peak has been first class! Glenn is an amazing therapist who plans and provides a challenging program that can also be followed at home during and after therapy is completed. PTA, John, is an asset to the staff, by keeping clients on– task with their exercises and by entertaining them with conversation! The Island Park office is run in perfect synchrony– the therapists, the PTA’s and the office staff! All are professional, congenial, and supportive to make the physical therapy experience a positive one. I highly recommend this team to anyone in need of PT services!

Arthritis in my hip… no way Im too young!!! except apparently I’m not. After a visit to Special Surgery I went to Peak at Wantagh. With much help from Glenn, Brian, Mike and Dan, I improved dramatically. They run a tight ship. Constant movement, no downtime and always pleasant.
Is my tennis game better? No. But I can walk and run.

I cannot say enough positive things about the staff at Peak Performance! My son broke two growth plates in his ankle. This was a first for us and I was very nervous! Our Physical Therapist, Joe was informative, friendly, patient, kind-​I could go on and on. Not to mention Mark, Matt, Don, Sue, Taylor, Kayla, the girls at the front desk. They all started to feel like family! Everyone took incredible care of our son. He actually cried when his therapy ended and plans on working there when he turns 16! I cannot say enough about these incredible caring knowledgeable and friendly people. What a wonderful group of individuals who will always be special to us!!!

I’m 37 years old and unfortunately needed a left hip replacement on April 8, 2015. I started PT with Peak about 2 – 3 weeks following surgery. I was lucky enough to have Kristie Rocks as my PT and I have nothing but the best things to say about the facility and her team. Kristie, Matt, Mel, and Taylor were ALWAYS highly professional, knowledgeable and all-​around pleasant people. I always felt comfortable asking any of them questions, whether it was about my progress or insurance-​related. Of course, no one can be more motivated about your recovery than you are and you SHOULD be working harder than your therapist, but they are certainly there every step of the way to push you and encourage you in meeting your goals.
I can’t imagine a better experience anywhere else! Thanks, guys

Peak Performance is a great facility if you are in need of physical therapy, vestibular treatment or aquatic therapy. I am currently being treated by several therapists in all these areas and find them all to be conscientious and helpful. The different areas communicate and are therefore able to coordinate treatment plans. The facility is clean and well organised. The front desk staff are extremely helpful arranging appointments and the therapists aides are also very efficient. I would definitely recommend this facility and thank Kristi, Kathleen, Monika and Olmar for their help!

The physical therapists at Peak are always conscientious and helpful. They really get to know you and are attentive to all your needs. There was never much of a wait to be brought back for my appointments. I never felt rushed or abandoned when I was going through my exercises. The physical therapists always paid attention to my concerns and goals and helped me attain them. The office is organized, clean and well-​lit. There are enough machines to accommodate both physical therapy patients and the gym members. It is one of the best offices I have been to and the staff really takes their time to get to know you and work with you in the best way possible. All of the physical therapists are super friendly and great to work with. After being a patient on and off for three years due to two knee surgeries, I got to know the majority of the physical therapists and I can say that they all work with you to make sure you are on the right track towards completion and make sure you get the full care you need. I would not want to go anywhere else due to the welcoming feeling you get once you walk in the door.

This is an excellent facility with an extremely professional staff. I injured my back and neck by an emotionally disturbed patient in 2009. I have been to several other PT facilities before finding Peak Performance! I am treated like a person that matters here. Sadly I have previously experienced PT that everyone in the place was doing all the same things no matter what was wrong with them. That is not the case at Peak. Each patient is evaluated and given a specific treatment plan. Every time I walk in I am greeted by the girls when I sign in with not only a good morning but they always ask me how I am doing. In minutes I am escorted into the treatment area by an aide that is also checking to see how I’m feeling. Then my therapist, Dr. George Stamatinos comes over to greet me and see how I feel and how I felt after my last time at therapy. I am then guided through my treatments and exercises all the time under the watchful eye of my therapist! I cannot say enough about how thoughtful and caring my therapist George is. I have also been under the care of Dr. Kristi Rocks who is also wonderful! I highly recommend Peak Performance for all your physical therapy needs!!!

This is the best physical therapy institution I know. Unfortunately, I have been to a few. I have had back, neck, right shoulder and left knee surgery so far. Going for surgery on my left shoulder next, I would not go any place other than Peak Performance. They not only saved my life through multiple surgeries, but they did it with empathy, class and professionalism. I have worked with a few different therapists due to my several surgeries and they are all wonderful. I was there first in 2010 and most of the therapists that were there then are still there, that definitely makes a statement. Thank you Peak Performance for always helping me with my recoveries.

This place is amazing. With a history of hip injuries and surgeries, I have been to at least 4 or 5 different PT places in New York and Washington, DC over the last four years. Hands down, this facility was the best.
I started at Peak Performance in September 2013 following a hip arthroscopy (I had labral tearing due to FAI). It’s not the most common of orthopedic surgeries but I was fortunate as Joe, the owner, is a hip specialist and well versed in arthroscopic procedures. I worked with him and Erica during a difficult and long recovery. They understand everything from the exercises themselves to passive movement and scar tissue massage. If you have to get a hip arthroscopy, go to them; quite simply, they get it. And they’re not afraid to interact with your surgeon to improve your care. What’s more is that they helped me to stay positive — Joe has a great sense of humor and Erica is wonderfully encouraging.
Aside from the people, this facility stands out due to the space itself. Other PT places I have been to have been small, dark, and low on equipment — but Peak Performance is large, light, and airy, and has all of the latest technology. They even have a pool for aquatic therapy! In the pool, I worked with Omer and couldn’t have asked for a better therapist.
The staff at this location are extremely professional and you never have to wait around. I would recommend them to any family member or friend.
