Ended up sitting at a non-hibachi table… You could still order hibachi food, just not cooked in front of you. Food was OK… Was room temperature though… The waitress was really busy… Covering a huge section of the restaurant… She really tried to keep up though… Will have to give the place another try as it was valentine’s day weekend…

HORRIBLE!!! If crowded. Go somewhere else. If you have a family… Go somewhere else. If you have children… Go somewhere else. If your pregnant or nursing… Go somewhere else. Although the product is good, their organization working with crowds and seating is horrible. It is not kid or family friendly. We called at 8. They said«no over the phone reservations.» They said the wait was not long. We arrived at 8:20. They told me the wait was 1 hour!!! Patiently waiting with 3 kids and a toddler while drunken adults curse and carry on without a concern. They did not offer us water an appetizer or anything. But we patiently waited. Everyone else who complained and made a scene with the hostess was seated including people that arrived later than us. Two and a half hours later we still did not have seating. They said an hour wait. An hour and a half later we asked how much longer, they said stop asking. We asked for a manager. No manager available. We asked for food, they said order drinks from the bar. Two hours later they said Twenty more minutes. My children were starving and clearly watched on as the hostesses ate hiding behind the counter. We left at 10:50 having never being seated. One of my children had a bloody nose. The two other children had hunger pains. We asked for a manager again. No manager. The hostess continued to seat party goers and drinkers at the bar, while stuffing her face with food. The management was to busy to address our needs and never came. The toddler had to go to the car to be nursed! It’s not a kid friendly or family friendly location. Why was it so hard to sit 3 adults and three children. We asked for priority seating because it was a birthday celebration and a first time for the birthday woman. It was horrible!!! We will never return.

Okay, I have been here twice and so far it has been great up until tonight. After a big party left, myself and boyfriend were the only ones left. We were waiting on dessert until another party was seated at our table. I thought it was extremely disrespectful since we spent good money at the restaurant. We spoke to the management and he blamed it on the parties wanting to sit at our table and offered us a 15% discount. We didn’t take this discount and just left with our dessert half eaten on the table. Note to the wise: even if you make a reservation, this place just halls people in and out and there is no sense of curtesy.

I’ve heard a lot of great things about this place and upon entering, the décor is pretty impressive especially for being in a mall. So I would give 5 stars for atmosphere, décor and ambience. I will also note that I’m a bit of a sushi snob… so I can be a little harder on the sushi places. I ventured into this location as I was passing by and decided to try it for lunch. I wasn’t unimpressed, but there was nothing distinctly amazing about the food. No special flavors or uniquely creative items… which is ok. But really, that left me to just grade Lumix on their quality of food which really was mediocre at best. So what did I order: Appetizers 1) Shrimp Shumai — just normal, nothing too special 2) Tuna Crackers — somewhat creative idea of spicy tuna on a cracker with some dried seaweed. I didn’t particularly like the flavor or consistency of this very mushy spicy tuna. This made me not want to order sushi, but opt for a cooked meal. Entrees 1) Lobster roll — not too exciting, again, a plain roll with fried lobster. 2) Shrimp Fried Rice — might have been the best part of the meal. Is pretty good with a side teriyaki sauce 3) Nabeyaki Soba Soup — I know that this soup is usually not really spicy and has a light flavor but the broth at this location was too much like yellow colored water. This is a very bland dish and because the noodles, small amount of vegetables and the tiny strips of chicken are not spiced something has to be added into this soup. Even the egg was tasteless. I’ve had this soup in many places and this was disappointing. The shrimp tempura was VERY oily and cold. Dessert –For starters, the waitress couldn’t answer any questions about any items on the dessert menu and when we suggested that she ask someone else she basically said that nothing is made on the premises so there is no way of knowing what is in it or how it tastes at all. We opted for something we knew, tiramisu… it was OK. I will give credit to the restaurant for décor and for quick and attentive service(and the green tea is really good). But really, I wasn’t impressed nor was anything particularly bad — just a bland, mediocre experience. Sorry Lumix, you’re pretty but not recommended.

Really cool vibe. Ive only been to one hibachi restaurant one time(benihana) & the prices were too damn high. Idk if its because i went to the one in the city but regardless, too expensive & it lacked flavor. Lumix was lacking nothing. Me & a friend went together & ordered calamari & a shrimp tempura roll as appetizers. Both were great the calamari could do without the amount of breading that it had but it was really tender, not chewy & the breading was seasoned so it was palatable. The sushi was great. We received complimentary soup & salad, i didnt want to get full so i only tasted a little of both. The soup was good, i wanted to finish it, the salad dressing was a little too oniony for me though. I ordered the land & sea with fried rice. It was awesome. Everything was cooked perfectly. My friend ordered shrimp & chicken with noodles & was pleased. Drinks: Plum wine, yummy. Scorpion bowl, we both enjoyed it. I would order both again. The chef was pretty fun too. Wish the people at our table were more interactive. But hey. The only negative I had was that they just mixed everything up when i asked for a take home box lol. I like my food separate haha.

Great environment! Wait staff was courteous and seated us right away. I went on a Tuesday night so it wasn’t busy but it had a nice crowd. Music was a fresh mix of rnb and pop. I had the American roll and the yummy roll. I liked them both. But I loved the American roll. It’s was great. I had the Mango-tini drink. It was super strong. It was made with fresh mango purée. The hibachi grill was well lit and the chef put on a great performance. The bar area looked well stocked. Overall my experience was great. I will be visiting again on a weekend just to see how the environment is.

Enjoyed dinner here with my son the other night. Feels more like a Manhattan restaurant without the prices. The calamari appetizer was tender & the dipping sauce was excellent! The Sushi & Sashimi Combo was to die for & was so fresh. Looking forward to coming back & trying the hibachi.

The food was really great but the staff had a terrible attitude and on top of that they made an error with the food and still charged us … We then proceeded to ask to speak with manager and he still made us pay for their error !!! I will never return to this restaurant and it’s too bad because their food was good …

Great location for a causal date with you’re babe love the quality of the fish. I must say the location gives off a Manhattan feel than most sushi restaurants I have been to. This location it self is great for large groups to come celebrate I would suggest this location to anyone

Genuinely surprised that I enjoyed this place so much. Came here for a friends birthday dinner and the experience was pleasant! Our chef was extremely friendly and attentive. Gave us excellent portions !! I was expecting bland, tasteless food but that was quite the opposite. My only complaint would be being that everything is cooked one by one, by the time each meat, vegetable etc is cooked all the other food on your plate gets cold, especially the rice! But still delicious. Chicken, shrimp, scallops and the fried rice & soy sauce was to die for! I enjoyed the food so much I was craving it again the next day. Will certainly be back!

Great restaurant. The service is fast and the staff are friendly. The food is great as well. No long lines or anything. This place is truly a jewel. Love it. It was so good I took my son here 2 times in one week(his graduation and birthday)

Awesome place, especially compared to Tobiko(on Merrick next to King Kullen) which is expensive and not that good. The service is always pleasant here and the food is fresh and excellent. I come here all the time and still can’t get tired of it! Perfect for sushi and hibachi lovers although you have to make reservations for hibachi. The drinks are good and they also have good music and nice atmosphere in the evenings.

3 birthday celebrations!!! 1 huge baby shower! 1 graduate with her entire extended family!!! Yes, of course it was crowded and noisy! As sexy, as spacious and as good an advantage they made of their expansive space, nothing could have prevented you from thinking you walked into a sports arena whose home team was clearly winning. If you just want food you could be seated immediately but if you want«the show» the hostess said it would be a 40 min to an hour wait(Saturday evening) and despite all of the above I opted to wait. I mean why go to a hibachi restaurant in the first place? I’m happy I waited. Thirty mins hadn’t passed, my beverage not even half consumed when their beeper went off. I like: A. The space. B. The barman, I asked for a top up and he gladly obliged(on the house). Of course the reason I had to ask in the first place was they gave me a virgin LIIT, it was that weak. C. The chef, he wasn’t very very entertaining but there was something sexy about him. Sadly, I don’t think he recognised the looks I gave him. D. The food. Both the taste and portion size. Wonderful. I battled with getting sushi as well and was so happy I didn’t. The amount of food they serve is really filling and then some! Nice and tasty made with love(maybe he did notice the looks I gave him). E. The unisex toilet area is clean with modern fittings. Spacious too. I don’t like: That they see it suitable to have all these celebrations happening at the same venue at the SAMEGOTHDARNTIME! I think birthday celebration, cake even a little song and dance ala Red Lobster etc is cool. But the madhouse effect not so much! Yeah yeah I smiled with the baby, congratulated the graduate and blew a few birthday kisses(ala FLOTUS) cause can’t beat them… I HADTOJOINTHEFUNORLOOK stuck up and DUMB. Really you guys should have just closed off for private functionsssss! That was a greedy move. I actually saw potential diners walk in then leave but I cannot be sure if it was because of the crazy vibe or the weight time promised. I still got mad love fuh yuh and you’ll get the fifth star if it’s a little more tranquil and I can actually have conversations on my second visit. The End.

Enjoyed dinner here tonight with my little brother. Seated right away since it was only two of us. We also came here at 7:30pm so that probably added to our quick seating. Came here once before and did hibachi so decided to do regular dinning instead. Susan was our waitress and she was super nice and attentive. Décor is nice. I like how they design the place to separate hibachi, normal dinning, and bar area. Bathroom is nice. It’s one bathroom area with 4 stall(2 male and 2 female). Food: overall great meal. Appetizer: crispy calamari. Not my favorite. Too crispy for me. Felt like I was eating fried bread. My brother liked it. Entrée: LUMIX Roll. Great sample of different sushi. Also comes with Dragon roll(my fav) and spicy tuna! If it wasn’t for the bad calamari I would have rated this 5 star.

The food quality was excellent. Great service. We didn’t have the habachi. Had 2 year old who might have likes it, but wasn’t sure. Had a regular table with some delicious sushi. I had the crispy rice roll. It wasn’t a roll. It was grilled square of rice with Tuna on top. The sushi was 5 stars. While I appreciate them tellin us there was no free refills when they offered us more soda, fountain soda is dirt cheap, and their should be free refills. I will be back often for the food. My son liked the fried nuggets off the kitchen app menu. Beautiful décor. Great place for a quiet date. Romantic.

Been To this place a couple times. The bar only, so i cant judge the service at a table. Food was decent. My favorite was definitely the sashimi. Now, i do not recommend this on a weekend. at the bar during the week completely different. During the week a hispanic lady tends the bar she’s friendly and polite. On the weekends the girl that tends the bar is another story. Shes moody and rude and will never acknowledge anybody. You basically have to ask her multiple times to get a drink or to see a menu. If you’re considering the bar on weekend stay away. Last night 3÷20÷15 friday i went in with a friend. Once i saw this person at the bar i took my friend somewhere else. One of these days i ill try a table to check out their hibachi.

Not a bad place, but not my favorite in the area. This place is ALWAYS packed, the inside is pretty small. The staff isn’t very courteous to people waiting, either. I’ve eaten here twice, the food and hibachi show was pretty standard. I’ve also come here a few times and literally just walked right back out because of the wait time. Not bad, but not somewhere I’d wait an hour plus to eat,

It’s a little more expensive than Kashi with ambiance that isn’t as nice. We got there at 5:15pm and were told it would be a 10 minute wait. We waited 40 minutes. Service was slow. We didn’t have a pleasant ordering experience. The chef was friendly, but not particularly skilled with the usual tricks one would expect at a hibachi table. Food prep was just meh. Skip it.
